I've tried doing water kefir but the balance of fungi and bacteria was WAY off and resulted in a smelly kefir  😞

There are some biological pros and cons, the infant has more regenerative power, yet has less resilience, the time of infection and so on, yet I agree with you that it's true, this news normally come without a single info or link to a proper study paper, and that gets you always wondering about the truth in it.

MunchMonki, the itching does stop after a while, but then my mustache gets so long it starts to get into my mouth. So I am stuck with either an itchy mustache or hair in my mouth. So I usually shave that part and just have the bottom. But even then, the hair comes in patches, so all I really get in a little bit of hair on my chin.

That's actually sort of helpful. I guess I'm not really the kind of guy who is grossed out by stuff, so that's a motivation I hadn't thought of. He does seem to have a low self image all around. I've noticed lately how much he puts himself down, etc. It bothers me.

The rest just sounds like bad experiences, really. I'm just going to resolve to bring him good experiences and doing my best to get him to trust that 1) I respect him 2) I care about him too much to hurt him and 3) that I'm not interested in a sex slave but a true sex partner. Maybe then he'll open up his horizons with me.
