#NoSleep is a favorite thread of mine on reddit, thought we could do something similar here!
Basically we just write our personal eerie experiences, or ones that happened to people we know (e.g. not urban legends, etc)
They don't necessarily have to include ghosts or anything paranormal, anything creepy works.
I'll start with a relatively short one:
_One day I was (as usual) staying up all night. At some point I opened the window so I could smoke (smoke smell in the house just doesn't feel right tbh). So I was gazing at the park outside the window, total silence since it was really late and most people here are old couples who go to sleep early. At some point I got a notification or something on my phone so I checked it. Once I turned my head to the window again, there was a dude standing in the middle of the park, not moving at all, just standing still, facing my direction but looking at his feet. He suddenly looked up and saw me (my apartment is on the first floor so that's pretty normal) and our eyes met. The only thing the creeper did was tilt his head to one side (like dogs do when they are confused), then to the other side, then straight up again, without losing eye contact with me (I couldn't really take my eyes away from him either, he got me by surprise tbh). I felt a chill on my spine and turned my attention to my phone again but a moment later I couldn't help it and looked out of the window again: THE MAN WAS GONE! Like, no noise or steps heard, and practically just a few moments have passed, and if he just left I would be able to see his back while he was leaving. But no, it was like he vanished all of a sudden, much like he suddenly appeared in the first place. I was just sitting there confused, the wind blowing in my face. I don't need to mention it but I didn't sleep that night. In fact, I still get the chills to this day whenever I think about it. I tried to convince myself that it was probably just someone with his dog (which might be a bit farther away, out of my sight) and just got startled when he saw me staring at him from the window, hence the awkward moments of looking at each other completely frozen. But again, how did he vanish so fast and in complete silence? Wouldn't he call his dog? Wouldn't the dog bark or something? Wouldn't I see them walking away? Was it just my mind playing tricks on me and I thought it was just a few seconds while it was in fact more or did I experience something eerie that belongs to the other side? :afr2: :afr2:
