I think the only reason the 'nurture' option is still alive is because certain people have something to gain from it. There's absolutely no scientific basis for it and it has never made any sense at all, so I don't see why we still bother with it.

RE: What type of underwear?
I wear boxers and boxerbriefs. Commando, sometimes, in the heat of summer.

RE: Please help me with this poll about being gay men.
Definitely do not want to be a woman. This board admin must be looking for an explanation for his sexuality too hard - in the wrong place.

RE: Drugs and Being Gay
I guess caffeine isn't so bad, the other drugs… I don't know. I've seen people in some really bad trips over just a joint or space-cake - of course in combination with an abundance of alcohol, but nonetheless, far worse off than when they had just been really drunk. You really learn to treat them like small children in such states, because there is no reasoning possible on any sophisticated level. Comforting them and securing their vitals is all we can do while waiting for the ambulance.
So I'm a bit sceptical about these 'good drugs'.

RE: Shaved Penis
I'll take well trimmed over perfectly shaved any day. I love natural hair-growth, in decent/artistic amounts - so it has to be trimmed or moderate by nature. Either that or natural smoothness, like a certain type of blondes and reds have. Which are both extremely hot as well…
I only trim, apart from some shaving around the facial hair-growth to keep the lot aesthetic.
I have no experience licking balls, either shaved or not shaved - regardless of incidental slipping down, so I couldn't say I prefer the one or the other on real-life examples. But I reckon shaved is better, no one wants hair stuck between their teeth.

RE: Marine officer: Gays, straights shouldn't share housing
The only thing that will change for the heterosexual marines (and all other military personnel) is that they might now be confronted with their ignorance and prejudice.

RE: Retired US General: Gay Dutch Troops Contributed to Srebrenica Massacre
Of course it is not true and the claim is purely based on personal bias, but it did make it in our Dutch newspapers.
I don't think I have ever felt as insulted by a paper as then.

RE: Gay men and politics view
Being Dutch, I think I'm off pretty well. Spunksta is right about that. But concerning politics, I really think we suck.
Right now, from what I can say, Norway is the best country in the world.
Basically I'm an Oligarchic Republican. I don't 'believe' in Democracy and I certainly don't believe in the Dutch version of the term. I do always vote, I tell my friends and others around me that people who vote have the right to bitch about politics. If you don't vote, you don't get to complain. Right now the Netherlands is without a government, not that we're noticing any difference; we'll soon get to vote for a new one. I'm hoping for a red(-ish) outcome, but we'll probably either get stuck with centrist capitalists or that Geert Wilders figure.
The Socialist Party, of which I've been a member for a while (not anymore), is currently under strain of losing the replacement head of the party. The founder was immensely popular, but ever since he left the party has been losing voters. I saw the new guy who is to chair the party - he is ugly… The other social-ish party is too centrist to do any good, but at least it is a veteran party with plenty of voters. They too will be getting a new chair, since the current (Wouter Bos) is being spit out by the majority of people here for screwing us as minister of finance.
Anyway, I'm in no position to break the system, so I abide and try to make the best of it through this unfortunate but 'functioning' system.

RE: Gay men wanting equality, yet not giving it in return
I think straight sex is disgusting, but that doesn't mean I won't let them marry. People need to get over sex, and recognize the part involving romantic feelings which, very much, is a part of 'sexuality'.
It is surprising how narrow-minded people (straight, and probably gay too) are when it comes to homosexuality among men (two girls are OK by straight male standards). The first thing they think about when they see two guys walking on the street is gay sex. It's almost like an obsession I'd say. Most of the time I spent in the lower educational levels explaining homosexuality, is getting the sex overtone out of homosexuality. Really, in an association game anal sex is the first to make it on the blackboard - half of the time. If people understood that gay men are not ALL about doing it in the naughty place, perhaps the gay marriage issue would not be an issue to begin with. (found that one via Nightcharm.com)What I find more worrying is more common discrimination (on race, gender, IQ, appearance, etc.) by gay men. For a people who have had to fight so hard for their rights, it is very bothersome to see some of my generation make unfortunate remarks of discrimination. We are SO not in the position to do that kind of shit.
