I don't believe that Trump colluded with Russia; however, Russian peoples did try to influence the campaign. Whooptie doo, who doesn't. In the end, the American voter pulled the levers and checked the boxes and they need to accept responsibility for that. The DNC, by contrast, runs by a whole set of rules that it creates for itself. It's kind of like saying that cheating at Monopoly is comparable to cheating on your taxes: They are within different spheres of influence with different rules and policies for maintaining order.

The Torah verse just seems like a moral commonsense statement. In evaluating a government I suppose it'd be useful but not in deciding what services a government should provide.

According to Wikipedia I actually fall into classic liberalism. I think there's little benefit in the broader vision as it creates dependency on the state which is what we see a lot of now (in the states). However, making sure the food supply and energy are maintained is something I can get behind. (Coincidentally, they just started debating whether or not to make education free in Japan today. Personally, I don't think they should.)

It's not election fraud. It's a party not a government organization. Were she President, it's unlikely that whatsherface would have released that book. Were she president the climate would be just as ugly. With Republicans in charge of both houses, we'd have just as much blockage. What would be different is that we'd be in TPP, the economy might not be growing as strongly, and we'd have a devil of a lot more refugees.

And rigging the nomination isn't the same thing as the alleged collusion (which I don't believe exists). Apples and oranges.

Russia is one of the few countries that the USA has never had a war against.  Russia was only our enemy during their period of COMMUNISM when they were the USSR.   The USSR dissolved in roughly 1992 and so did communism in Russia.  The left can't stop fanning the flames by attacking Russia.

It's not just the left. Since most of the people in the government were alive during the Cold War, they've carried over the animosity and mistrust we were taught into the present day. You're right though, they'd made a great allie. Too bad we keep putting missile defense systems near their boarders….

With iPhone X face recognition tech has hit the popular imagination like a fist. Personally, I'm not a fan and will never use that kind of tech. Along with facial recognition software are the now omnipresent cameras in our daily lives.

Do you think tech is moving towards a world where cameras and face recognition tech will merge? Are you cool with that?

There's a lot of varience in this.

Myself, I think the ideal is for people to be able to immigrate/emigrate freely to choose what type of society they want to live in.  If you want to wear a niqab then move to Saudi Arabia not Canada.  If you want the freedoms of Canada the respect the responsibilities of Canada.

I think the variance is what makes it an interesting question. I'm more a libertarian thinker with conservative values. For me that translates to live and let live unless they're inhibiting your freedoms.

I'm cool with relaxing most regulations. I think many of the departments in the government should be shut down and the military scaled back for self-defense only and all that money be diverted back into infrastructure projects with the people can use directly.

I'm not a fan of welfare. I think charities do a better job and getting assistance out there. I don't think it's the government's job to put the world on a level playing field but, rather, to protect the citizens from abuses of power.

As for open borders, I'm not a fan. I'd prefer a more draconian immigration policy that screens for the best rather than charity cases.

I don't want the headaches. I'll stay an employee.
