    • RE: What song are you currently listening to?

      @Ellis:

…among a long list of favorites by him–my favorite being Part II of The Killing of Georgie (1976) from “A Night on the Town”–my first album of his (from back when you used to have to pay for them)…

It tells a sad story (maybe the first time I ever heard about that f'd up shit >:(); and that short little segment–Part II, always gets to me. 😞

I'd forgotten about that song! It's part of that class of songs that tell a story with a punch.  :blownose:

Now one of my newer favorite groups- they've been doing some excellent covers with a quirky, charming touch.

    • RE: Relationship Issue Help Needed: My partner and his so-called friend

Congratulations on selling your house. Time for a clean break and new beginnings. Good luck on your 3rd and (hopefully) final move for a while. I might have to move at the start of the year myself and not looking forward to all the stress that comes with it.

Enjoy the upcoming holidays! At least you're at peace now and open to what new things can come your way.

Haha! Glad to hear you enjoyed your experience. I hope you had some nice hot rice along with it.  😄

Now then- how about some classic English dishes to try?

This is the last place I expected to find something like this, but I'm glad you started this, and I hope others join in and expose us to food we aren't familiar with. I love how this forum can surprise me.  ;D

So- I'm from the Philippines and one of our most popular dishes is:

Adobo: Chicken (and/or pork) stewed in garlic, pepper, vinegar and soy sauce. http://www.kawalingpinoy.com/chicken-pork-adobo/

Dessert would be a cold and refreshing Halo-halo: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo-halo

    • RE: Which are your favorites gay themed movies?

I love a gay themed movie which has heart and can make you laugh-not to say the sadder, more serious ones aren't important of course, it's just my preference.

So if you like your themed movies lighthearted, or inspiring- these are some of my recommendations:

The Birdcage (1996) with strong performances by Nathan Lane and Robin Williams.
      Pride
      Latter Days
      You Should Meet My Son
      Longhorns

Also- even though we're talking movies- I have to also add the TV series New Normal. It was a lot of fun while it lasted.

    • RE: Anyone who manages it to keep 1.0 or above ratio without donating?

      @JohnEryn:

Well, the inverted situation is what happened to me. If you check, I sign up to this community in 2014 bc this was the only website that have a Mike18 collection (my obsession at that time). So I downloaded like 11 GB (not the complete torrent) and then my first external hard drive didn't work anymore and I lost everything (movies, porn, music, photos), bc I don't have much space in my laptop and I usually change the OS every few months to try new things. When I finally came back this year I had a big debt and I needed to upload some new torrents of some GB's just to fix the ratio. And now I use seedpoints to change them for GB's of upload whenever I can. It's such a shame I didn't were more intelligent the first time, I could had a big ratio…  :blownose:

Haha! I was also hunting for rare Mike18 videos when I started here. It's hard to resist grabbing everything at once, but I did manage to control myself and keep a decent enough ratio. Although I think you've managed your own ratio pretty well- it's definitely better than mine!  😛

    • RE: Relationship Issue Help Needed: My partner and his so-called friend

If he hasn't responded to your conditions by now, it's best to chalk it up to experience and move on.

There's times it's better to be single than be stuck in a bad relationship. Reconnect with family and friends over the Thanksgiving holidays and count the good things in your life you can be thankful for.  😉

While that is an incredible ratio- I'd like to point out that it's more possible if you're new on the site, just do one initial small download, say 200mb and then focus on uploading a decent amount- say 11GB. Which is how that ratio was done- at least based on the data shown.  ;D

Then after the initial rush, you can proceed to wreck your ratio and do some actual downloading for a change.  😄

Yes! I actually have short stories published. And I've edited a book of short fiction too.  😄

    • RE: Relationship Issue Help Needed: My partner and his so-called friend

Argh! I have a soft spot for this sort of thing, it's not that I want to hold a grudge but I tend to be more forgetting of past sins once I forgive. So I have to warn you that I do get told a lot that I'm too forgiving.

But that said, it really is up to you depending on how you feel about him- if you still want to see what is possible. There's a part of me that says just leave well enough alone, but another part is saying you could give him a chance IF- and this is very important- IF he makes some changes to prove that he really is serious this time around. For one thing- can he give up his friend? That is the first and main test. His friend was the main reason your relationship fell apart and having him around is a deal breaker. His focus should be on you and building a relationship with you.

If and when William is out of the picture entirely- THEN you can give him a chance. No rushing ahead and moving in, please! Get to know each other more first. Spend a bit of time until you have a better understanding of whether there's anything there worth salvaging, or if you should just totally cut him out of your life.

    • RE: Songs that make you cry

There are lots of songs that can hit you with a good cry when you hear them.
Off the top of my head I'd say- Boyz to Men with 4 Seasons of Loneliness, and One Sweet Day (with Mariah).

Oh, and from the first time I heard it, it never fails- Sophie B. Hawkins with As I Lay Me Down.  :blownose:

    • RE: Teen Wolf

      @JerodParker:

It's like a very violent Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which was still comedic.  Teen Wolf is almost the same but it's got a lot of sexy dudes, hehe.

That's a pretty spot on description. It tries to take itself more seriously than Buffy, but it winds up comedic at times anyway.
In the end, it's just great to have a show with sexy dudes on display every episode.

    • RE: Teen Wolf

I got started really late and just finished Season 1. It's a fun series- and I know from seeing some news for later seasons that the eye candy factor just gets even better so I'm looking forward to it.  ;D

I plan to continue watching but there's just a TON of great shows I'm keeping up with -like Westworld, Game of Thrones, This Is Us, Black Mirror, etc.- too many to keep up with right now.  :afr:

The latest I heard is that this season (6) will be the final. Sad to hear it, but at least they'll give the series a proper ending.

Wow! Trying to live the DP dream- do post about it if you succeed. Never attempted myself and I haven't heard anyone I know ever manage it. Porn shows make it seem so easy.  😮

So- former smoker here. Answer would be no, now. Proudly quit.  👼

    • RE: Fantastic Beasts

I've been waiting for a new Potter movie for so long and I'm thrilled that Rowling decided to come out with new material, even after she had said at first that she was done with it.

I think they have a good cast and an interesting premise- so yes I'm definitely excited to catch Fantastic Beasts when it comes out.

I enjoyed Season 1 but never found time to try the next seasons. May look it up again. There's just too many good shows out right now. (Westworld and Black Mirror for example)

Sad to hear about Connor- he's really hot in season 1.  😄

    • RE: Love or sex ?

I definitely agree with you- the sex is much better if you form some sort of connection with the other person. Not to judge random hook-ups: those are more for physical relief really. Sort of like helping each other get off.

Attraction is part physical and part social/emotional. That's why it's much better to have sex with someone you like- and the best sex is usually with someone who means something to you.  ;D
