Doctor shortages is a totally separate issue that needs to be addressed.

Republicans have spoken: ObamaCare is here to stay!
Mitch McConnell has decided that he loves ObamaCare just as much as all the other Republicans. He is moving on and no further repeal efforts will occur. So much winning!

DID AN AUTHOR FROM THE 1800S PREDICT THE TRUMPS, RUSSIA AND AMERICA'S DOWNFALL?
You have to admit. This is pretty creepy.
There are some incredible connections to be made to the first family of the United States and Lockwood’s novels from the turn of the 19th century. For starters, the main character’s name is the same as President Donald Trump’s son, albeit spelt differently. Trump’s adventures begin in Russia, and are guided thanks to directions provided by "the master of all masters," a man named "Don."…....
......But by Lockwood’s third novel, The Last President, things become even more eerily linked to the present day.
The story begins with a scene from a panicked New York City in early November, describing a "state of uproar" after the election of an enormously opposed outsider candidate.
"The entire East Side is in a state of uproar," police officers shouted through the streets, warning city folk to stay indoors for the night. "Mobs of vast size are organizing under the lead of anarchists and socialists, and threaten to plunder and despoil the houses of the rich who have wronged and oppressed them for so many years."
"The Fifth Avenue Hotel will be the first to feel the fury of the mob," the novel continues, citing an address in New York City where Trump Tower now stands. "Would the troops be in time to save it?"

RE: Not only is Obamacare a disaster.. so is Medicaid.
I think the way they seize assets is limited to seizing property - not iras. That is not a problem since I own this house.
It's not limited to just property. You just hear about that more because the home is usually the largest asset. This can vary by state. Some states are VERY aggressive with estate recovery and others are not. Since Trump plans to gut Medicaid states are going to get much more aggressive because they will need the money.
more aggressive?
States can choose how hard they want to look for assets. Some put a lot of effort and others don't. Even my extremely blue state has stepped up their game and started using technology to verify assets within the past year or so.

RE: I made a MISTAKE!!!
All this stock market excitement very much reminds me of Al Bundy. He scored four touchdowns in one game! We all know what happened after that…..

RE: Subsidized states dragging the USA down (New York, California, Maryland, Mass)
You can thank Thurston Howell III (i.e. John Kerry) for driving up the cost of healthcare in MA. One of his last acts as Senator was to STEAL $300 million from the rest of the country by classifying a tiny 19 bed hospital on Nantucket as a "rural hospital." This stripped away Medicare funding to all of the other rural hospitals in the country and gave it to the super rich hospitals like Mass General. It's more complicated than I can explain. Google "The Nantucket Effect". Our healthcare system is completely crazy when a tiny little 19 bed hospital located on an island for the super rich can have that much of an impact on the entire healthcare system. The name of the hospital is "Nantucket Cottage Hospital" because it's literally located inside of a cottage.
Now to be fair these four states do a sizable amount of medical research for the entire world. These things cost money. People come from all over the world to go to Mass General, Brigham and Women's and Boston Children's Hospital.

RE: Here's an idea that makes perfect sense, but would never happen
You realize that this would cause our economy to shrink as the population wouldn't grow enough to support growth?
How many children did your grandmother have? Do you know anyone your age or younger who has that many children?
I'm guessing your grandmother had a lot of kids because that is what they did in her generation and that increased the population which in turn grows the economy. Like it or not, immigrants buy things and they grow the economy.

Trump calls the White House "a real dump"
It was a nice place before him and his euro trash wife moved in.

RE: Hillary FINALLY to be Prosecuted?
Hillary will never be prosecuted. It's time for you to get over it. Trump told us he isn't going to investigate her. He LIED to you.

RE: Strange Mr. McCain
The more I think about this the more I believe that this is all staged by the GOP. We all know that ObamaCare is the Republican plan. It was written by conservatives, it includes a ton of market based conservative ideas and it was implemented by a very conservative Governor. They backed themselves into a corner 7 years ago when they started to rallied against their own plan.
So how on earth can keep their plan in place while still pretending to be against it?
They asked a dying Senator to put on this show and give a thumbs up and later a thumbs down. Now Republican voters have a scapegoat to blame and the Republicans get what they want while getting their voters to let them off the hook. McCain won't get another term anyway. It's the perfect plan.

RE: Tomi Lahren LOVES ObamaCare
The Dow rose from 6500 to a record 19500 under Obama.
Also according to Breitbart, Obama lowered food stamp usage dramatically. By the end of his administration it was at a 7 year low.
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/07/20/food-stamp-use-falls-lowest-level-seven-years/
You consistently misrepresent the articles you refer to.
You seem to forget that Sheik Obama was occupying the White House for EIGHT years.. and during his regime, Food Stamp Enrollment hit a record high peak of 47.6 million people (it was 28 million when Bush left office). Also, the amount of $$$ per recipient has dropped considerably… which is horrible. So, the people who do need benefits are getting LESS. I know of people who used to get $200 a month that Obama cut to $15 a month. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/03/02/19-million-more-americans-on-food-stamps-despite-low-unemployment-rate/You've also lied about the DOW. The DOW has gone from 18,500 on election day - when Trump was elected.. to a record 21,891.. an increase of 3,391 just since Trumps election.. and a staggering 18% increase in just the 9 months since Trump's election!
You should look at the chart in the link in the article that I posted where it clearly shows the number of people on food stamps going down under Obama.

RE: Should a president be attacked daily?
But doesn't Trump put himself out there for ridicule? Look at the way he behaves? He told police to "rough up" people they were arresting!
Police brutality is a serious issue in this country. Nobody benefits from cops acting like jerks.
If he behaved like a civil human being there would be far fewer attacks.

RE: More craziness from an incompetent White House
Trump is getting NOTHING accomplished. His damage so far has been very minimal. He is the laughing stock of the world but he hasn't really done much damage. It's just a lot of talk and tweets. It's very sad.
I figured by this time I'd be complaining about all of the bad legislation but there has been very little legislation passed. I'm still bitter about the fiduciary rule being repealed but other than that he has mostly just golfed.

RE: Not only is Obamacare a disaster.. so is Medicaid.
There is a bill currently kicking around one state that makes the next of kin responsible for nursing home care before Medicaid kicks in. The state wants the ability to sue an adult child even if the child is estranged from the parent. I can't remember which state. It was in the south.
This is what happens when you vote Republican.

RE: Strange Mr. McCain
The complaints about the deductible are a myth. Most services don't count towards the deductible. You can still get most preventive care without it counting towards your deductible. The insurer pays for that.

RE: Tomi Lahren LOVES ObamaCare
Well she benefits from it anyway…..
Tomi Lahren revealed yesterday that she is "luckily" benefiting from ObamaCare. This is very strange that she feels this way considering she has spent years bashing the law.

People have got to realize that Conservatives are total liars. They don't give a damn about anyone but themselves and erasing the legacy of a Black President. It seems that most of the people who are against it are actually benefiting from it in some way.
Considering what the moonbats.. and YOU have been spouting.. you are hardly in a position to be calling anybody else a liar.
As for Obama's Legacy.. I have asked this dozens of times both here and elsewhere.. what IS Obama's legacy? What did he accomplish in his 8 year occupation of the White House? I have yet to get a response from anybody.
He expanded healthcare to millions of people.
He is the first President to openly support gay marriage which became legal during his term.
He ended Don't Ask Don't Tell.
He captured and killed Osama Bin Laden -
RE: Strange Mr. McCain
One of the reasons that costs are so high is because employers are involved in the equation. Patients don't know how much their healthcare costs. I have no idea how much it costs my employer. If the insurers have to market and sell to patients directly the prices will come down.
From a couple of people I've heard from.. their employer pays 4 to 5 times as much as the employee does for their healthcare… but that is misleading, because the money that the employer is paying directly to the insurance plan is money that WOULD have gone to the employee. The cost of an employee is far more than the salary of the employee.
To do what you suggested.. would require Obamacare to be completely REPEALED first!
What I hate about is that it allows the employer to essentially give an employee a pay cut (or a raise) without the employee even knowing it. A lot of companies change their healthcare plans every year. This means your total compensation is likely being changed as well. It's still a gamble for the employer. A lot of sick employees could be a disaster for the company when their premiums are jacked the following year.
