@hubrys I am going to be very blunt about this news - I don't really know or understand why the fact of him being gay is still news... I hope there comes a time while I'm alive when someone assuming a high position in a prominent country isn't news, regardless of "them" being black, woman, gay or trans or a regular man In a MORE relevant and shallow angle of this, he is a hottie and 34, but I still like Macron better LOL...

@lololulu19 There's a difference... Trudeau has never been open about being gay. There is also speculation that he sits in the cuck chair in the hotel rooms often if ya know what I mean?

@MrMazda oh yeah... Trudeau has not come out. Who is watching him in the cuck chair?

I'm not sure if Obama counts as being gay, even though he is married to a man and used to frequent gay leather bars in Chicago.

Time to move this to the politics topic, I think.

Sadly, the lazy repetition of talking points seems to have precluded any discussion of the actual topic that started this thread.

You could argue Obama was openly gay. too thinly veiled, becomes open

@blablarg18 It amazes me how the death of Obama's boyfriend in 8 feet of water 100 feet from shore got ignored. This was a strong man who drowned. At first, they said Obama was out of town when it happened, turned out, he was not. He was working as Obama's chef. He was also writing a book...

@tnar But what's to discuss? Seriously - what would you have said?

Btw no right- or alternative-leaning pundit I'm aware of, even noticed this trivial news. (so "talking points" you imagined)

It's more what's not to discuss... like anything to do with Trudeau and Obama. Those are the irrelevant points to which I refer. Lack of anything else to say doesn't mean we should go back to the usual political posturing we see all over the media, except in the Politics and Debate group, where that belongs.

I saw the announcement of the new French premier more or less as an aside at several news sources. I'm not sure how Macron thinks this improves his situation, but clearly he thinks it does.

This got moved because it went from being Gay News to Politics.

There is no issue of making more than 1 thread on a topic so that it can be in (for example) Gay News and Politics.

@tnar My bad - Obama did come up before move - for a minute I thought he only came up after.
