Once again, Biden can't stop lying
-
Biden's latest blatant lie of the day is that during the 6 Days War, he went to Israel as a liaison, at the request of (then) PM Golda Meir.
Biden was still in law school (his 2nd year) during the 6 Days War, but don't let facts get in the way of a good lie. Golda Meir was not the PM during the 6 Days War. Golda Meir did not become PM until 2 years later.
Liberals are quick to claim that he is actually referring to the Yom Kippur War, but he had only been a Senator for 9 days when it started.
Biden is a pathological liar and the left loves him for it.

Yes, he got the name of the war wrong, but the rest is accurate [source: Times of Israel]
He's a dottering old man, and his memory isn't what it once was - but what the hell should we expect from a guy who will turn 80 next year! (For those not paying attention, Trump is only 4 years younger! We were going to set a record for oldest President ever after the 2020 election, no matter WHO won!)
I have no issue with you reporting that he got the name of the war wrong - that's valid and true... had you left it at that, I likely wouldn't have even replied! But no - you had to add all the bullshit... your own lies.... THAT part I object to, and felt the need to set the record straight.
By the way: the Times of Israel article about Biden meeting with Meir in 1973 dates to 2020 - just before the election here. So, unless they were prescient, the article had nothing to do with Biden's claims during the hanukkah celebrations at the White House...
Still: It's time for their generation (octogenarians) to "pass the torch"...
-
I read about all that stuff mentioned in your link and it does not change the facts.
Even assuming he is just a feeble-brained old man and got the war wrong, as a 9 day Senator he was never asked to be a liaison between the 2 warring sides by Golda Meir.
Now that you have claimed I lied, you need to prove I lied.
Your own link shows that your BFF, lied about being asked by Golda Meir to be a liaison.
Once again, you have proven you are nothing but a liar, who will spew any bullshit to prevent your Dear Uncle from being called out for all of his lies.

Just out of curiosity, for how long have you two been at each other's throat in regards to politics?

I think @bi4smooth has been posting here for less than a year.

@raphjd is the Administrator here - AFIK, he's been posting this stuff since its inception.
I've been countering some of his drivel since about 2019 - although I've been on the site since 2008, I've only been active on the forums since about - 2019/2020? It was the latter part of Trump's administration, and things (evenpre-covid) were starting to come off the rails...
That's when the overt hyperbole and outright (sometimes laughable) misinformation started... so that's when I started to reply.
Because @raphjd is so Trumpist and extreme in his posts, and I correct the record when he goes overboard, it may seem that I'm Biden (or even liberal cause) supporter - I am not... I am, in fact, a registered Republican - a non-Trump supporting, non-Q-Anon-believing Republican. (We're as rare as albino dolphins these days, but we DO exist!)
For example, even in the article I posted, the mention that the Israeli view of Biden - in 1973 - was that he was "fresh" and "full of respect" - he also "displayed a fervor and made comments that signaled his lack of diplomatic experience."
My point being, the article I quoted was not flattering to Biden (as @raphjd so gleefully pointed out) - but it did reveal his assertion that Biden was too new in the Senate to have made the trip (as a Senator) at all (if you ask me, the now-President keeps recalling this trip because it was his FIRST (obviously) as a Senator, and it made an impact on him), was wrong. And with that being wrong, his hyperbolic claim that Biden was lying all around falls apart - Biden got one thing wrong: the name of the war.
Truth matters - and that's the biggest problem I have with Trumpist followers: not that the ideas they have are so wrong, but that they keep trying to sell people on them with "misinformation" and divisive, hyperbolic rhetoric... and that's not helpful... IMHO.

@raphjd Reminds me of when #senilejoe said he was arrested in South Africa - https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2020/mar/04/joe-biden/joe-bidens-pants-fire-claim-about-his-arrest-south/
Then there is the issue of Biden's plagiarism.. there are dozens of examples of Joe Biden committing plagiarism.

I was trying to be nice and didn't attack you, but you are just a typical leftist cunt who spews whatever your masters at CCP/DNC tells you to.

Of course, the "liberal" media (like CNN?) would NEVER report on Biden's gaffe... would they?
Look, some media IS highly liberal - but how is that any different than the highly conservative media? The point it, there are FEW (if any) non-partisan news sources out there today - if that's even possible in today's world - for reason's I've discussed in other threads
Truth be told, the "mainstream media" pays a lot more attention to Democrat gaffes these days than to Republican ones (tho MTG is definitely trying!) - and for a simple reason: they're the ones in power!
They (Democrats) ARE the ones to blame for Gov't problems (and there continue to be a LOT of those!)... and @raphjd's favorite news whipping boy, CNN, didn't fail to catch Biden's mistakes - being harsher on is "memory" than even I was!
(The link to the CNN story is in the CNN name above).
Again:
- Did Biden make his FIRST overseas trip as a Senator to Israel? YES, among other places too!
- Did Biden meet with Israeli leaders during this trip, including PM Golda Meir? YES - though that isn't surprising! They would have treated ANY US Senator the same way!
- Was Biden shown Israeli war plans for the 6-days-war? NO! It was the Yom Kippur War - but he did discuss those plans with Meir.
- Did Biden fancy himself a potential liason (nay, even Ambassador) to potential Israeli / Arab / Palestinian peace talks? Yes his writings of the time clearly show that HE THOUGHT he would be an excellent candidate for that job, and was CERTAIN that he might be asked to do so... BUT, he was (almost laughably) mistaken... the idea that the re-elected (by a WIDE margin) Republican President Richard Nixon would tap a freshman Democrat Senator for such a highly important role is laughable - But Biden was only 30 at the time, and just elected Senator of Delaware... he can be given a little slack for thinking himself somewhat more important than he was at the time... it's called HUBRIS, and in my personal experience, it's far from RARE in 30 y/o men! Much less those who are Senators!
- WAS Biden used as ANY kind of liaison or ambassador in the Israeli conflicts of the 1970's - at all? NO! and, in part, because the Israelis wouldn't have him! You may have read the Israeli Times article quoted above? The Israelis weren't too keen on him THEN, and they really aren't so keen on him TODAY, either!
- Did the Israeli PM (Meir) invite Biden to Israel in 1973? YES, but it wasn't to be any kind of liaison - it was because Biden was also visiting Egypt on that visit, and they didn't want the Egyptians to be the only "input" the freshman Senator received.
- And finally: did Biden get some of his facts wrong about what he did (and why) FIFTY YEARS AGO? YES You betcha! Agreed! Totally!
But let me ask you: if you described your first date, would your memory of that even be the same as your date's? OK, go go with me here... does that mean that either of you is telling a LIE, just because your memory of how good the kiss (or the sex, for that matter!) was, or what they were wearing, is wrong?
Look - I teach my children this dictionary lesson all the time - because, like @raphjd, they know that the term LIE (and LYING) are incendiary - explosive, even!
To be a lie, the person has to know (or, at least believe) that what they are saying is untrue! If they didn't know (or believe) it was untrue, then they were just wrong, and not (generally) LYING.
Granted, we hold politicians - ESPECIALLY Presidents - to a higher standard... but I, again, think the facts speak for themselves: Biden got it wrong, but he wasn't LYING!
Oh, and the "liberal" CNN media completely overlooked the whole incident, because they let sitting Presidents "off the hook" *if they're Democrats!
DOH!
That's totally untrue! Was it a LIE, or just sarcasm...
You figure it out! Gotta love the English Language! LOL -
Ah, so you are saying that your BFF has been "confused" his entire political career.
Dear Uncle was "confused" when he said he never, ever got involved in Hunter's business affairs and all the other "untruths" he's said for the last 50 years.
I guess he was "confused" when he made all those racist, homophobic, etc, etc, etc comments.
The more you post, the more you prove you are a CCP/DNC agent, Miss Feng Feng.

Back to the topic.
Biden has a 50ish year political history of lying about all manner of things.
We previously discussed his (about) 47years of lying about the death of his wife. Oddly, though not surprisingly, you tried playing both sides to defend Dear Uncle. Biden said the truck driver was drunk and other things. He also said that he was just repeating what is in the official police report. The official police report did not find that the truck driver was drunk. It did not place any blame on the truck driver. The official police report placed the blame on Biden's wife, for being inattentive and running the red light or stop sign, I can't remember which. SO, how can Sleepy Creepy Uncle Joe be telling the truth? Was he senile all those years?
Dear Uncle has told so many lies about his work lie. He's done more jobs than is possible even if he did them for a single shift.
Honest Joe plagiarized other people, on several occasions, not just the other times he ran for office. He, like Obama, has taken credit for laws he had nothing to do with.
He has repeatedly lied bout his voting record in the Senate. He clearly must be so stupid that he doesn't get that it's official record.
Yeah, Biden is always simply "confused" and not a lying cunt.
You keep telling yourself that, so you feel better about voting for him.
-
Lie:
- to make an untrue statement with intent to deceive
- something that intentionally misleads or deceives
So, a guy who truly believes that his wife - the mother of his children, and the love of his life - was killed by a drunk driver, and because the police didn't charge them as-such (indeed, never even tested the other driver), they're lying...
And in the same breath, you'll tout all the greatness (and infallibility) of He Who Must Be Named, His Orange-ship, Donald Trump... HIS record of telling the truth is better?
Dude! They're both old men - quickly approaching 80 - who get things WRONG. Don't we all? But (and even my 10-year-old kids get this): Being WRONG isn't the same thing as LYING!
When you FIRST claim that your inauguration was "the largest crowd in history" it's just being wrong. When you're shown photographic evidence, backed up by testimony of your own followers - that you were wrong, but you continue to make that claim, you cross over from just being wrong to lying.
But there's more to that analogy:
- Trump has much to gain by claiming to have had the largest crowd in history. There is an intent to deceive there!
- Just exactly what is the benefit to Biden when he claims he was in Israel just before the 6-days-war, when it was really the Yom-Kippur-war? What's the deception?
Biden has a well-established history of gaffes - and he still struggles with stuttering! Oh the inhumanity! GOD save us!
Actually - God (only one cap) is going to have to save us from the inflation these Gov't give-aways are going to cause for years to come! To call a Spade a Spade, the policies that incited this inflation started under Trump, but Biden has exacerbated them!
To be clear tho: Gov't spending (paying for actual things, or actual labor) isn't necessarily inflationary... Gov't giving away money - pumping cash into the economy with no purchase, no "benefit", just giving it away - is completely inflationary!
Under Trump, the "stimulus" was reasonable - inflationary, but inflation was historically low, and the economy had just taken a gut-punch. The 2nd Trump "stimulus" was purely political, and totally an inflationary event - causing people to not only spend unwisely, but also to expect to routinely collect money from the Gov't for free!.
Then, along came Biden - who wanted to show that HE TOO could give away trillions of dollars to people, in exchange for nothing - just free cash! Which piled on the inflationary pressures, and super-heated the economic demands - beyond the ability of the damaged infrastructure to keep up with - which accelerated the inflation even more.
In case you missed it: Jobless claims have dropped to their lowest levels in 52 years! (There are multiple underlying reasons for this - some good, some bad. But facts are facts).

I appreciate how clearly you have stated this. I'm willing to give the Orange Toddler a pass on his initial statement of "largest crowd in history," as even the meager turnout at his inauguration had to look yooge (in Trumpist dialect) from his vantage point. But after being confronted with the facts, his persistence in making the claim was indeed an attempt to deceive. (This assumes that he did indeed see photographs comparing his crowd to previous inaugurations. It's possible that his inner circle prevented those facts from coming before him...which itself would indicate a serious problem.)
Under Trump, the "stimulus" was reasonable - inflationary, but inflation was historically low, and the economy had just taken a gut-punch. One writer likened the stimulus payments to swatting a fly on a window using a sledge hammer: You might accomplish what you wanted to do, but with a lot of collateral damage. We must also remember that Trump wanted his name to appear on the stimulus checks, even though doing so would delay those checks. I also recall one report that he was furious that the majority of the payments would be made by direct deposit, and thus no paper with his name on it would go to those recipients.
