Main torrent image being replaced by other users on uploads
-
When I upload a torrent, sometimes people add additional images to my upload, which is often helpful. However, I uploaded something today in which someone uploaded several mediocre images which replaced the image that I uploaded, and pushed it to the back of the gallery. It seems to me that only the uploader or an admin should be able to change the order of the images, and the poster's images should be at the beginning by default.

To prevent this from happening in the future,
you should upload @least 10 pictures and upload them through descending order w/c will show first picture you desired...
The last of 10 picture you uploaded will be priority in the first hand and the first picture you uploaded will be the last in order...There are many ways to capture picture to avoid pushing your original picture w/c you wanted most... -
Hi @lololulu19 - Any time a Member uploads a picture to another's torrent, that feature states:
Please upload only BIG Pictures in GOOD quality!
Staff has to review every picture to ensure they are not too small, that they are related to the torrent, and that they appear to be of good quality. As we are human too, there is a chance that less desirable pictures will make it through review.
Once approved, the pictures are added to the front - the same way pictures are added when uploading a torrent. We are aware that this is not always the most desirable outcome, but this is how it works.
You may sometimes have an available option to make your torrent look better after others have uploaded approved pictures to your torrent. If the feature to Add Screenshots and Covers is still available on your torrent, look for another cover or make another screenshot that better represents your torrent, and upload that. Should that one get approved, it will be put at the very front. Your torrent will look better, and you will get one Seed Point Bonus.

@ricky Having uploaded 76,000,000,000,000 (76 TB) of stuff, I'm not worried about 1 seedpoint. It is frustrating to see the images I uploaded get shoved to the back.

@lololulu19 Understood.
A lot of changes and improvements have happened over the years, and there is a lot to look forward to.

If it is your upload, you can edit the torrent listing and remove the offending pics.. that said, if they are legit pics of your upload, you should be judicious in doing so... but you can ALSO then re-upload the "main" pic you want seen.

@bi4smooth Wow, you are right! I did not know this.
This works only within the first six days of uploading. Caveat: Sometimes this feature may not be there.
Confirmed that I could make changes with my recent uploads, the delete option was next to each picture.

@bi4smooth Thanks.. I will keep that in mind.. in fact.. I don't think it has been 6 days yet.

@lololulu19 Nobody can add pictures to your torrent presentation, if you use QTM and upload at least a poster along with 12 screenshots.

@ricky Generally, I like it when people ADD images.. what I don't like is when the main image that I uploaded gets replaced.
