-
who was the first person you told ?

26. I propositioned the boy at the counter of the dirty book store because he was not only cute, but he was reading Joyce's "Ulysses", which I had just finished. Uh, Austin…what can I say? He thought I knew what I was doing. Hah

I never came out. I was raised in a modern environment where I never realized that as a kid you had to tell someone your sexual preference. I just one day introduced my boyfriend to people and people reacted the same was as if it were a girlfriend.
-
15, to a female friend
-
I never had to come out as a kid I always commented on hot guys and crushes so they all knew.
-
I think I was 22, to my therapist. ;D

-
Online friends first, then mom
-
19, to a friend

That's so cute! I also enjoyed Ulysses in school – I was the only one who chose to read it for a project and, at the time, I was really interested in it as a work. What a great conversation-starter!

I was 15, to a female bestfriend, who unfortunately judged me immediately.
When I was 25, my parents asked me the nature of my relationship with my boyfriend at that time; whether it is just friend or more than friend. I haven't had the time to answer when my dad added: "If you want to return to the righteous path, we will help. If not, this is no longer your home."
So I went to my room, packed my bag, and left.
;D

I was 17. The first person I told was a friend of mine, also member of the queer community (back then they were considering themself a lesbian, later came out as a trans/genderqueer boy too). Later that day I also told my best friend. After many years, I finally came out to both of my parents this very year. Everything went well and I'm happy I can finally express myself the way I want It has been a journey, on which I learned a lot, and I'm proud that I did it!
Good luck and positive vibes to anyone who plans on coming out soon! No matter the outcome, remember that the first person that should love you is YOU yourself and don't let anyone make you do otherwise!
As for anyone who is not feeling ready yet, patience. A time will come during which you'll be feeling comfortable. Until then, live your life to the fullest possible and love yourself as much as you can!

my school psychologist at 16 !!

I came out to both my parents when I was 20. I cried. They told me they had guessed for some time. They even told me that they had friends they knew who were gay. I never figured out who they meant.

I envy you. If my parents were such d-bags, I wouldn't feel so bad for wanting to cut ties with them as I do now.
Oh, and I was 19. My best friend from childhood, straight guy. He didn't give a shit. We just resumed our video games.

Envy?
Nobody deserves parents like this.
14. Gradually of course. Never had a big comeout like posting on facebook or doing a party or whatever. Just people got to know. And it's no longer a thing of 'you have to know something about me', no it's just natural. -

And it would be easier to cut ties with them if they were more like his parents. I did not say anyone deserves such parents.
