Chechnya

Where's the hatred for Chechnya considering how it treats gays, especially recently?
Are the SJWs totally silent on the topic because it's a muslim country?
Is this one of the utopian gay haven countries that a user recently talked about?

I am from kavkaz actually. Liberals do so many mental gymnastics and blame human rights problems in Chechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia on Russia, when this is not the case. It is sad that leftists are most sheltered people that do not know much about world. Problems happening in Chechnya, the mujahideen, the honor killings (travesti was murdered by his family in Chechnya a month ago, his family celebrated his death), abuse of gays. Leftists see this situation and look for closest white and Christian person to blame it on. Let me tell you, I think god every day that I live by Christians now. The worst thing a Christian will do, they will say you going to hell. The worst thing muslim will do? Cant even compare this two things.

That's a good point, koliko6.
A lot of people actually forget that these are federal subjects (republics) of Russia and that they do enjoy just about enough nominal autonomy and authority to oppress and discriminate without Russia intervening (but russia doesn't even care to intervene, not in this case anyway). -

Um….the atrocities of the anti-gay purge in Chechnya is a topic we've discussed here in the forum since April 15 at least.
Definitely does NOT get a pass just because it's a Muslim country. -
Lord. What is it with all the hateful, misinformed people on this damn site?
By no means has Chechnya been ignored; it's probably more accurate to say that Chechnya has been hyper-analyzed at the expense of abuses happening at the same time in Iran, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Brazil. It's unclear to me how you could even come to the conclusion that it's been ignored unless you've either completely forgone the internet for the past two months or you've limited your engagement to alt-right, Nazi forums.
Chechnya also isn't as simple as blaming Muslims. We need also remember that homonationalist tendencies to place LGBTI (really, just gay) rights as a crux of moral supremacy vis-à-vis international relations has significant drawbacks.
In the circles I work in, which you might deride as "SJWs" when in fact we're human rights professionals trained and educated in human rights methodologies, we've been relating the backlash in Chechnya to two things: First, the fact that the detentions were sparked by a Russian group pressing for a pride parade in Chechnya, which obviously was a faulty tactic. This was something Chechen activists noted from the start. Second, the "vodka boycott" surrounding Russia and the winter Olympics a few years back cemented gay rights as a particular point of symbolic contention between Russia and the "West", resulting in the hyper-visibility of SGM populations, and thus their increased targeting for violence.
Please try to learn something about the world before spouting off your uninformed bigotry on an anonymous comment thread. I've said this in other forums, but it's such a ridiculous shame that gay men themselves have become a burden and a barrier in social justice work. Your anti-Muslim bigotry isn't helping anyone, especially the LGBT Muslims whom I work with and whom are pushing everyday to change the narrative of Muslim backwardness when there are billions of Muslims who are just as modern as you are.

Iran, Nigeria, Indonesia, and Brazil.
Except for Brazil, do you notice the pattern?
BTW, you excluded a bunch of lovely muslim countries that like to help gays end their deviant lifestyle.
-
By the way, you've excluded a whole slew of Christian nations who continue to extrajudicially execute gay men and trans women as well as enact 'corrective rape' and murder against lesbian women

Tho it's true some media are not talking about this issue, it's far from not talked about, to the point that even (yesterday? Some days ago?) Chanceler Angela Merkel in live feed with Putin addressed it.
What do you expect people here to comment? The obvious this is fucked up line?
Also, let's differentiate from; what is muslim beliefs and where it leads, and what are personal beliefs of people. There are secular islamists that have parted ways with parts of the Coran and teaching because they understand secular concepts, just like christians did… you can't demand from brainwashed people to from a day to the other be healed of the poison they have been served... Plus it is true that the EU and USA fueled this issue with some imperialist tactics.

There are no secular islamists, one can't be secular and an islamist…. there are secular muslims though and they're pretty rare if you ask me. Just wanted to make that clear.

True, I was thinking about the same once I finished the post… I guess you could cherry pick with the coran removing the wahibist parts, but it's far more fair to use muslim than islamist in this situation.

Brazil is a very violent country. And violence affects everyone.
Most homosexuals and transsexuals are victims of common crime, not hate crime.
You can not compare this to the state and legal persecution that exists in Muslim countries. -
How can't I? Nearly half of the countries where homosexuality is criminalized retain Section 377, a "buggery" law directly imposed during British colonization. The majority of the countries in the world where homosexuality is illegal are predominantly Christian. Not to mention the fact that LGBTI people are dying every day, even in the US, both by means of extrajudicial and state-sponsored violence.
-
I do love how SJWs use mental gymnastics to justify their love of muslims.
Which non muslim countries have the death penalty for being gay?!

…The majority of the countries in the world where homosexuality is illegal are predominantly Christian.
Hmm I'm pretty sure you're wrong. The majority of the countries in the world where homosexuality is illegal are predominantly MUSLIM. Please do some research before sharing an opinion. Also it's pretty funny how all of you liberals can dismiss people's accounts and personal experiences just because "it sounds islamophobic" even though it came from a muslim or an ex muslim. Like the user koliko6 literally said he's from kavkaz (the caucasus) a predominantly muslim region and that gays and minorites weren't treated well there and that he feels much safer among Chrsitians and all you did was downvote it DESPITE IT BEING A LEGITIMATE ACCOUNT OF HOW STUFF ARE IN THE REGION just so you can feel good about yourselves. Many liberals seem to forget an important thing, that the "poor unfortunate opressed" muslim immigrants and refugees in the west are actually the "OPPRESSORS" back home. If you really really want to help, don't dismiss such accounts and actually listen and see how you can actively help oppressed people there instead of doing what seems more tolerant and civil to YOU. That's why child brides are still a thing in Yemen, and why female genital mutilation is still a thing in Somalia, and why honor killings are still a thing in Pakistan, and why stoning is still a capital punishment in Iran despite it being so inhumane and so on…

If Christians don't kill, please explain that to the corpses of gay/black/mexican/muslim people that were killed by 'white-power" Christians in rural-areas of this country. I'm sure their bones will feel QUITE enlightened.

How many of those are officially state mandated?

Incredibly dishonest post. Incredible. By percentage adjusted for populations, minorities kill far, FAR more white people than white people kill minorities.
Here is raw data sourced from the FBI: http://www.aim.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Offenders-Victims-Simpson-Black-Criminals-White-Victims-and-White-Guilt-1024x600.jpg
Now take into account relative population sizes in the U.S. for blacks and for whites, and calculate how much more likely a black person is to kill a white than a white person is to kill a black person.
I DARE you to do this easy mathematical calculation. Go on.

Totally fake news and just complete lies. The majority of Muslims have extremely poor beliefs with regards to LGBT. This is backed up by massive amounts of polling data, which proves far more than your pointless anecdotes. It's you who needs to learn something about the world before spouting off. You are lying or just completely ignorant.

SJWs love any outlaw they consider a "victim of society".
If criminal hates "oppressive" western capitalism, SJWs will still help them with financial and ideological support.
