Wiki - which for 50th time, is lib- & CIA-run - but likes to keep appearance of being factual - admits to minimum-basic story here.
George Joannides was a CIA officer known for his role in psychological warfare and for overseeing operations involving Cuban exiles, particularly the Directorio Revolucionario Estudantil (DRE), which had contact with Lee Harvey Oswald before the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Recent documents reveal that the CIA had previously concealed Joannides' involvement and interactions with Oswald, leading to significant controversy regarding the agency's transparency in the investigation of Kennedy's assassination.
In 1978, the CIA summoned Joannides to serve as the agency's liaison to the United States House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA), with him focusing on events surrounding the death of President Kennedy. Washington Post reporter Jefferson Morley wrote: "The spy withheld information about his own actions in 1963 from the congressional investigators he was supposed to be assisting. It wasn't until 2001, 38 years after Kennedy's death, that Joannides' support for the Cuban exiles, who clashed with Oswald and monitored him, came to light."
More to come - tho it might take awhile.
