Every once in awhile we have an uploaded video with younger-appearing actors – if other users question it's appropriateness on the site, we'll research it.  That's one of the reasons  it's important for uploaders to submit basic information about their upload.  If upload in question comes from a general tube site and/or we are unable to identify it as originating from a studio with age compliance policies/reports of misuse, we will remove it to err on the side of caution.

Reviewing the AlexBoys site and doing some general research into any reports of underage actors, it appears good on our end.  It's material from generic tube sites that are usually more of an issue.

There are a variety of methods to improve your ratio to maintain download privileges:

(1)  Seed downloaded torrents
(2)  Upload new torrents
(3)  Exchange seed bonus points for upload credit  (seeding; gifts from other users for new uploads; category voting; reporting duplicates)
(4)  Make a donation in exchange for upload credit – FASTEST method

Aracna –- are you attempting to advocate for the inclusion of studios or material we have deemed inappropriate for the site?  What is the basis of your questioning, except to perhaps ready for an argument of wanting certain material included?  Please then, state your request.

1 cup Butter
1 cup Sugar
1 cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups Flour
2.5 cups Oatmeal
½ tsp Salt
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda

Mix ingredients together and add:

12 oz chocolate chips
1 ½ pound Hersey Bar, grated
1 ½ cups Chopped Pecans

Shape into ½ sized golf ball size.  Bake 400 degrees for 8 minutes.  Refrigerate.  Makes approximately 50.

With well over 50,000 active torrents on the site, you are unable to find any that appeal to you?  Have you used the search engine –- select categories; search for actors and studios  --- actually looked through the library?  C'mon the tools are there for you. . . just use them.

However your browser stores your password - mine doesn't use cookies, but instead uses a separate storage location.  Depends on the browser.  So when the log in page comes up each time you come to gt.ru, it fills the username and password and you'll just have to enter the CAPTCHA code and click return.

Looks like you were able to fix your ratio after all –- the key is to keep seeding and over a longer period of time

cannonmc –- the generation of a duplicate message to an uploader occurs when it is another user who reports it.  However, if a staff member makes the identification,  there are two ways that this can occur, one of which generates a duplicate message to an uploader, while another one does not.  Programming inconsistency; but the majority of uploaders who post a duplicate, yes, do receive a message about it.

Duplicates are deleted immediately after being identified, unless they have a user still downloading from it.  In that case, we mark it as a duplicate in the title and block any further downloads from it.  It is later deleted when there are no more leechers from it.

Like Mestrl, I'm open to trying it out, but only if I have a good idea of how much uploaded credit I will get.

But four points of warning:

1. People are right about the fluctuation of bitcoin. You guys are DEFINITELY asking people to make a risky investment. But, for the most part, if bitcoins can be traded quickly enough, then the fluctuation should be minimal.
2. You guys are trying too hard to sell this as a simple and preferable process. The fact is, as long as bitcoin is the only option, you're going to lose tons of potential donors. Not only is it sketchy, but people simply do not want to spend money to TRY a system they're unsure about – especially when they can go to other websites that offer less risk.

Stay tuned to the donation page, which is being updated to answer many of the concerns brought up in this thread.  The option of using easy payment methods is rapidly disappearing due to anti-torrent forces at work behind the scenes.  Users on this thread sound like they think we have a choice in this matter.  Other sites may continue to have that option, but I'm betting they won't in several months.  We certainly would prefer to provide simple and easy payment methods, but the nature of this site mandates managing certain pressures that would have us shutdown.  Instead we are attempting to adapt with the forces that weigh against us.

I'd also like to add that unless one is planning to keep Bitcoins, the conversion of USD/Euro into Bitcoin that is quickly transferred to your Gaytorrent.ru account for upload credit, completely bypasses daily fluctuations in BitCoin value.  Additionally, we are even DOUBLING the amount of credit one receives to compensate for any potential exchange/transfer fees, value fluctuations and the additional effort required in learning to use Bitcoins.  It's a win-win situation all the way around and also a payment system that cannot be shut-down so we can keep GT.ru servers running.

We certainly appreciate the increasing number of users who are making the transition.  We are repeatedly hearing it was easier than what they thought and once set up, a breeze to use.  I use the Bitcoin system regularly myself and have found it just as easy to use PayPal after the learning curve.
