RE: Elder Scrolls Onlineposted in Video Gaming
Most of the bugs were due to not having enough server power for the amount of people. This caused serious amounts of lag and other issues.
A lot of people had problems killing "foulwing" the harpy queen. If everyone moved off the section of the mountain she was on (clearly and obviously defined space) then she would respawn. But what kept happening is that 100 people would all crowd in the spot waiting for her to respawn, which wasn't gonna happen. This was the case with most, if not all, open space boss mobs. If you were patient, you'd get to finish most of these quests.
Some of the other issues are things like materials occasionally spawning in places that you can't get to; ie nirnroots spawning on the face of waterfalls. This was fairly rare though.
Some searchable items would show up as containing items (it glowed) when in fact someone had already gotten the loot. Again, this was due to lag and was not a "bug" per se.
Another issue was that the beta was purposely limited to a level cap of 17. That meant that any quest that gets started earlier but requires level 18+ to continue just stopped. We were also limited to the first couple of areas for our races. So again, any quests that required you to go outside of those areas couldn't be finished.
My only complaint is the lack of bandwidth and server capacity for sustained gameplay. Hopefully this is fixed by launch.

Gay Myanmar Couple Weds In Nation's 'First Public' Same Sex Wedding Ceremonyposted in Civil Unions & Marriage
Gay Myanmar Couple Weds In Nation's 'First Public' Same Sex Wedding Ceremony
Dressed in matching traditional Myanmar clothes and garlanded with jasmine, a gay couple married in a lavish public ceremony that they say was the first of its kind in the conservative nation.
Tin Ko Ko and Myo Min Htet exchanged rings in an upmarket Yangon hotel Sunday, in the latest sign of changing social mores in the Southeast Asian nation as it emerges from the shadow of military dictatorship.
The marriage does not enjoy any legal status but followed the customs of other Myanmar weddings, with the two men arriving in solemn procession followed by six groomsmen in front of some two hundred guests.
"My family accepted me. I am so glad that my parents were understanding… but he had to overcome many difficulties from his family," said Tin Ko Ko, 38, of his partner in an emotional speech.
The pair, who both work for rights groups, have lived together for 10 years without publicly declaring their relationship.
Same-sex relations are criminalised under the nation's colonial-era penal code.
While the law is not strictly enforced, activists have long complained of harassment and discrimination.
But taboos around homosexuality have begun to be relaxed after a quasi-civilian government replaced military rule three years ago. Myanmar held its first gay pride celebrations in May 2012.
Tin Ko Ko and Myo Min Htet had discussed their wedding in local media, but the pair kept the venue a secret for fear it could attract protest.
But some journalists were able to attend and pictures of the ceremony were splashed on the front pages of several local newspapers Monday.
"We both tried hard to make this a reality. I am almost speechless, I am so happy," said 28-year-old Myo Min Htet, adding that the event also marked the couple's 10-year anniversary.
Wedding guests applauded as the couple kissed after cutting a red heart-shaped cake.
"This is like a challenge to our neighbours, who do not understand us and see us as very strange people," said Aung Myo Min, from the rights group Equality Myanmar, addressing fellow guests.

RE: Elder Scrolls Onlineposted in Video Gaming
Yeah, I'm not happy about having to buy the Imperial Edition just to play an Imperial. However, I do feel that it'll be a "race" that's available to everyone at a later date.
I've been in the last 3 betas and I don't agree that it's "too much like a single player game". To me, it's like most other MMOs that are out there, but with a few extras, ie racial skills. If you like MMOs then you should give this one a try.

It's not as good as the single player games, but then again MMOs really can't be due to too many variables on the server.
I'm enjoying it.

RE: Porn company's condom policy a big part of fineposted in General News
The group has remained a driving force behind the regulations, successfully defending the county measure in court when the county declined to, reporting suspected violations to government officials, and suing companies who try to move parts of their productions outside the area.
I don't see how they have any legal standing in these court cases.
It's like when the state of California refused to defend Prop 8 and the homophobes tried to defend it. The case was thrown out because the people defending it had no legal standing to do so.

I do it in a mixed way of the 2 previous posts.
1. Have multiple hard drives and have one for each type of video; ie TV, Movie, Porn - Twink/Frat, Porn - Hunk, etc, etc.
2. On each hard drive, I then make studio folders.

Gay couple suing UK government over same-sex marriageposted in Civil Unions & Marriage
http://attitude.co.uk/2014/01/gay-couple-suing-uk-government-sex-marriage/
A gay couple in the UK are threatening to take legal action against the government after they will not be able to marry on March 29, because they are already in a civil partnership.
Michael and Paul Atwal-Brice, from Barnsley, entered into a civil partnership in 2008, but now wish to convert to marriage, The Guardian reports.
The couple – who have seven-year-old twin boys – had already picked out their suits and a wedding cake when they discovered that they would need to dissolve their civil partnership in order to get married.
They discovered they would need to effectively get a divorce when they tried to book a registrar for their big day.
The government has not yet decided how same-sex couples will be able to convert their civil partnership to marriage.
Paul, 34, said: “We’re being penalised because we’re already in a civil partnership. No couple should be asked to divorce or dissolve to be able to get married. To dissolve a civil partnership, you have to go to court, and you have to have a valid reason.
“Wanting to get married is hardly a valid reason to dissolve a civil partnership, so we would effectively have had to commit perjury.”
“For us this is about equality,” said Paul. “But it’s not just the principle of the situation – there are legal and practical difficulties if we were forced to divorce. If our civil partnership were dissolved there would be a period of time when we would not be each other’s next of kin, for example.”
A spokeswoman for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport said: “We are continuing to work hard to ensure that couples wanting to convert their civil partnerships into marriages are able to do so as soon as possible. We aim to do this before the end of 2014.
“It will take a little longer because we need to introduce completely new procedures and processes. This contrasts with the work to make new marriages for same-sex couples possible, where we have been able to build on existing processes so implementation is more straightforward.
“The conversion process will ensure that couples in civil partnerships do not have a break in their legal relationship, which could have implications for matters such as their pension entitlements.”
Currently, this only applies in England and Wales.
Later today (4 Feb 2014), Scotland will have their final vote on marriage equality. The issue of dissolving a civil partnership and directly converting it into a marriage is one of the proposed amendments. While the main bill is expected to pass by a wide majority, the various amendments seem like they will face defeat.
Northern Ireland's main political parties have all said they will never allow marriage equality to happen there.

Ugandans top Google results for searches on 'gay porn'posted in LGBT News
http://www.gaystarnews.com/article/ugandans-top-google-results-searches-homosexuality110114
A new report on the most popular search terms of 2013 has revealed Uganda to be a nation obsessed with homosexuality online.
According to Google's Zeitgeist report of 2013, which lists the most popular terms used on its search engine, Ugandans searched for 'homosexuality' more than any other people on Earth.
The dangerously anti-gay nation also ranks third in searches for the terms 'man fucking man' and 'woman fucking woman' - trailing behind Kenya which was ranked first for both terms.
The Zeitgeist report, released each year, highlights a trend of countries with anti-LGBTI laws and opinions to be more curious with gender and sexual minorities.
The term 'shemale', commonly associated with transsexual pornography, was searched most in Somalia - with Kenya, Pakistan and Ethiopia not far behind. Meanwhile, 'butt sex' also scored highly amongst African nations, with Ethiopia coming on top.
The report does not specify whether the terms were for looking at pornography, or simply for 'research' purposes.
Despite the country's online obsession with homosexuality, Uganda recently passed a bill declaring those found guilty of committing 'homosexual acts' to be jailed for life.
The bill is currently awaiting signature from Ugandan president Yoweri Museveni, who has stated he needs to take his time and study it before making a decision

In the UK it's very common to get a preprogrammed router/modem from your ISP with all the security setting already set.
Some of the smaller ISPs don't provide you with a router/modem, so in that case you have to supply your own and can do whatever you like to it's settings.

Black centric countries are extremely homophobic and I don't see that changing for a very long time. Nor do I see muslim countries changing.
Countries like Russia are scapegoating gays, to deflect from their real problems. So there may be some hope in the future.
