Imagine the outrage if anyone even attempted to get a White only student group on campus.   It would be called racist by the other single race student groups.   You know, racial equality and all that.

Yeah but I believe white people segregated PoC because they thought they were inferior and beneath them while safe spaces are simple places where they can speak or meet without getting attacked.

Maybe i'm wrong since I don't know much about it, but isn't a AA meeting a safe space?, isn't every gay bar? or even this site?, this site won't exclude straight people, but if I say something about my sexuality and someone said something homophobic to me, I guess it will get automaticly banned, so i won't be afraid to speak. If I show up to a AA meeting with a bottle of vodka to laught at the people, I don't expect a warm welcome either.

I don't honestly see the issue with safe spaces, and thinking that letting minorities meet will hatch hate propaganda or whatever sounds like a load of bullshit to me.
It's like saying you are uncofortable with muslims meeting because they may be plotting to bomb something?

I also don't see why people hate SJW so much, it's pretty much like feminism, it tries to do what's best for the rights it represents, but not everything a feminist says is the absolute truth, they could say something offensive, they could have wrong ideas, but that doesn't bring down all that they represent or the good that they are trying to make.

The only thing that scares me about safe spaces is that they might be targeted by racist people who think that this places are a threat to them 😞

then again, I don't know much about it, but it just sounds like white people whining because they can't have something and now they are throwing tantrums and pouting (and i'm white as fuck myself), let them have that café that you won't ever step in anyways…

In modern times, it's not whites demanding segregation.    But, you comment is exactly what would happen.   People would accuse whites of being racist for asking for their own "safe space".    You're pretty self-loathing to think that racial equality for ALL races is racist.

There are 2 types of "safe spaces" when talking about college campuses.    The 1st type is alike the AA meetings you mentioned.  The 2nd type is the "Happiness Hut"  in the Adam's Family movie the Wednesday was locked in for not smiling.

GT.ru isn't a safe space, in that we allow everyone to have a voice, even if some don't like what they say.    Polite/civil discussions are always allowed unless they violate the rules on illegal topics.

Did you read the articles in the links as well?  The group demanding the safe space this thread talks about is extremely white-hating racists.

Feminism is solely based on lies and man-hating.   SJWs are similar.    I discuss these issues in other threads so no need to go over them again here.

Why do you not see the issue of special rights in the guise of racial equality?

I see the type of person you are now…and I feel so sorry for you

Ah, so you feel sorry for those that want TRUE equality (opportunity, not outcome) for everyone.

As a gay man, I have fought against the bullshit lies that gays want/wanted special rights in our fight for equality.  Now here you and you ilk are, demanding special rights.

      @inkball:

I'm not sure when social justice became a dirty word, but social justice activists/warriors/whatever are largely responsible for winning the freedoms that millions of LGBT people enjoy today.

There is nothing wrong with minorities (ethnic, sexual or otherwise) having spaces or affinity groups where they can openly discuss controversial topics without fear of harassment. It may make you uncomfortable, but we should resist the urge to impose political correctness on speech we don't like.

LOL, you don't even realize what you said, do you.    You really need to re-read your last sentence again.   It partially answers your opening statement.

In the guise of equality, we need to discriminate against certain groups.   Yeah,  we hear that from some feminists as I've mentioned elsewhere.

SJW became a slur when you have that South African girl in the US college saying that science as we know it is false because white men invented it.   That black Africans KNOW that magic is real.

SJW became a slur when social media bans for racism against non-whites, but not for racism directed at whites.

SJW became a slur when it's acceptable to force white students to walk through a creek to get to class and nobody really cares, but if the races were reversed, everyone would lose their fucking minds.

SJW became a slur when SJWs demanded safe spaces for anyone who wants them, except for those SJWs don't like.

SJW became a slur when feelings mean more than facts.

SJW became a slur when SJWs think it's acceptable to pour piss on a reporter's head for questioning people about there being unlimited genders.

SJW became a slur when SJWs constantly false flag themselves and blame it on the other side.  (smugly-puff when he/she/it was in high school, among many, many others)

SJW became a slur when because they think it's ok to use violence against anyone they deem to be the enemy.

SJW became a slur when it's ok to punch a reporter in the face (Lauren Southern) then smugly lie to the police. (smugly-puff)

SJW became a slur when it's ok to physically attack a retired couple walking their dog because they look like someone who might oppose your views. (smugly-puff)

SJW became a slur when they demanded that only they have free speech.

      The list is never ending.

Vocal Minority? To be honest, the only time I EVER hear about SJWs is when other people on the internet complain about them.

      That is what you said.

Where in that statement do yo admit they exist?   Nowhere.

You want people to think SJWs only exist in the minds of those that complain about them.

What? So I have to admit everything exists before I talk about them? Where did you admit that Trump exists? Nowhere.

This is ridiculous. Stop making strawmen to argue against because I never said SJWs exist. It's really not that hard man.

Seriously, go back through the various threads we've talked about this in.   If you are honest, you have portrayed SJWs are mythical beasts that only exist in the minds of the evil right's minds.

I peronally saw Trump years ago while I was in Atlantic City.      He was about 15 feet away from me, as he walked by.

And I've personally met many Americans over the years despite living in the the UK and Ireland. Who gives a fuck. That isn't my argument.

What you are doing is arguing against a strawman. I never said SJWs didn't exist, yet you keep arguing against me as if I did. In fact, my original post very much acknowledged their existence on the internet. And I just asked if anyone has met an SJW (which holy fuck triggered you a lot) - I NEVER said SJWs didn't exist. What is so difficult to understand here?

Go back and re-read that bit I quoted from you, along with some of your other statements.

He made it possible for every American to get healthcare.  This is obviously his biggest accomplishment which is why the disgusting Republicans are trying to undo it.  They would rather see you die in the street than acknowledge that Obama did a good thing.

YES, Obama-care is the only insurance that is gender blind when it comes to cost, which greatly benefits women.  Maybe we should have gotten Obama-drive and Obama-life as well so men can get a bit of gender equality.

Two days of reading your highly-intellectual quality work here tells me that either you are a male special rights meminist or a sofa meminist who claims to support true gender equality but actually does nothing about it.

So tell me, which are you?

Funny how feminists can never show any campaigns they have done to benefit men.    When I list feminist campaigns, they have nothing but name calling.

New York City fines (up to $250,000 per violation) for refusal to use any personal pronoun a person wants to use.   Of course, it covers other things as well, but the most recent change was about bathrooms and personal pronouns and names. .

So where is the person who has been fined for using the incorrect pronoun?

Also, I can't believe you won't accept that you're over exaggerating the fuck out of the C-16 Bill but let's agree to disagree because it's clear that you'll never change your mind on this.

I wonder if you wake up in cold shivers at night thinking of the purple haired 'Zes' and 'Zers' kicking down your door and cutting of the tongues of however dares to not say the right pro noun. That's probably a bit extreme but hey, the internet tells me that western society is being burnt down by syrian refugees, crazy feminists, SJWs, people from tumblr, black lives matter etc so what do I fucking know?

C-16 hasn't passed yet, so of course, you no one can be punished under it.

HOWEVER, I did show that NYC made it illegal to use the wrong personal pronouns.    Funny how you are still acting like it's all made up despite me linking the webpage that spells it out.

That's a bit on the flaming side, it's typical of the left that anyone who disagrees is stupid, racist, sexist, this ist and that ist, blah blah blah.

Why is it that Obama people were supposed to vote their race and if they weren't black they were supposed to vote for him anyway.    People were supposed to vote their vagina when Hillary ran and if they didn't have a vagina, they were supposed to vote for her anyway.

I'm a white man, but for the last 20 years I've been voting for a hetero black woman as my Congresswoman.    Using liberal logic, shouldn't I only vote for CIS gay white men?

My reply was a fact based response to your comment.   We are not your favorite social media sites that punish for "wrong think" or being politically incorrect.

Unlike social media, we treat white supremacists, black supremacists and any other supremacists the same.

GT.ru is not a "safe space" in that we do not ban topics that some might find offensive or "triggering".

The only topics that are banned are those that are illegal in most countries.

If someone wants to post an Armenian genocide denial (hypothetical), then prove them wrong with facts.  Do not ask for that person to be banned or the topic to be deleted.

We are not your favorite social media.  We believe in free speech.

NOTE:  Free speech does not alter our site rules about name calling, derailing, and civil/polite discussions.

Who said GT.ru is a "safe space" like the SJWs want?    We don't ban people because of their race, political leanings, etc.    We ban for their personal actions on the site.

We are not social media that bans for "wrong think".    You can speak your mind here, as long as you aren't just name calling.    Derailing a conversation, to complain about the topic or individual posters, could also get you in trouble.

Has anyone ever asked you to refer to them as 'Xer' or 'Xel'?

Maybe that's why I find the pronoun thing utterly stupid.  And giving more thought to it, is almost self-segregating, since you're putting yourself apart from the others on the basis of your sexual identity.

That's why barely anyone fucking asks people that! Because it is counter-productive The vast majority of trans people just want to be called 'him' or 'her' when they identify as 'him' or 'her'.

And yet, we have Canada's Bill C-16.

Blair White, well known Trans YouTuber, get called all kinds of names because she doesn't support all that BS gender crap.

When a trans person put someone in jail for refusing to call themselves a made up pronoun then I'll suck your dick and admit defeat. It's not going to fucking happen though because that's not what the bill is about.

      Seriously, no thanks.

Umm, why do you demand that C-16 isn't bad because there isn't jail time attached to it?    The financial punishments, as well as other punitive measure, make it extremely harsh punishment for not using someone's made up personal pronouns.

I guess littering isn't a crime because it doesn't have a jail sentence attached to it.    Like with C-16, you only get jail time is if you refuse to pay the fines.

Jaywalking is a crime that only has a fine, unless like above, you refuse to pay it.  OR, your jaywalking caused an accident.

Refusal to pay a fine is treated as an attempt of court issue, which is where the jail time comes in.

So stop fixating on the lack of a jail/prison sentence in C-16.
