      The UK varies by "country".

      England and Wales used to force you to pay upfront if you had any assets.  This included forcing you to sell your house, even if one spouse was still living in it.    Now they wait until both spouses die and take their 100 pounds of flesh.

      Of course, this only applies to government funded places.  Private facilities do their own thing, which almost always means paying upfront or being chucked out.

      As expected, the number of government beds is falling short of need and getting worse every day.

      Ain't socialism so much better than capitalism.

      LOL, you are so pathetic.

      You are using the definition from the Paris Principles of 2007, which is after the fact.

      The International Red Cross refers to an OPTIONAL PROTOCOL to raise the age to 18.    They also talk about 15yo soldiers being completely legal.

      The Child Soldiers Protocol ….......  also refers to inclusion as a war crime in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court “the conscripting or enlisting children under the age of 15 years or using them to participate actively in hostilities in both international and non-international armed conflicts.  Why is this?  Because "children" are classed those under the age of 15.

      I know you're a leftist, but do you really need to try so hard so cuck to terrorists and their lovers?

      @Devken:

      @Frederick:

      How about being discriminated against for being a white male?   I've been the victim of that.  A month or two ago I posted a long message about how it was impossible for a white male to get a job working for the county where I live.

      Maybe it wasn't because you are white, or male… maybe it was because you're a homo... or just grossly incompetent.

      Since affirmative action, it's most likely due to having a white penis.    Civil service tests are treated like SATs where you get to score less points to get then job by the more oppression points you have.

      Under international law, he was old enough to be responsible for his actions.

      You are extremely desperate to make him not guilty of being a terrorist and war criminal.    "he was RAPED mentally"

      Again, he is a terrorist and war criminal.  He doesn't have the same rights under international law that a jaywalker in his home town would.

      Still defending terrorist love Trudeau, I see.  That asshole cares more about terrorists than he does about the victims of terrorists, as this incident shows.

      @raphjd:

      I'm not sure I support joining the military so the taxpayer has to pay for your transition.   Not to mention all the time you will not be able to work.

      Why not? The military actively advertises that it will pay for your education.  They use it as a recruiting tool.  Why should healthcare be any different?

      Also the military spends 10x the amount on viagra that they spend on transgender healthcare (not just reassignment surgery but all healthcare)

      The military trades education for time served.

      Trans-sexuals don't exchange anything for their transition, except less working time.    This can be over a year of no duty to very light duty if the transition isn't done in a single operation, which isn't normal.    Of course this doesn't include time off for the required mental evaluations and whatnot.

      Those getting Viagra are still working.

      So, where are the feminist groups on this?!    The silence is deafening.

      We had the feminist riot/near riot over a discussion about male suicide and we had Chanty Binx and her lot pull the fire alarm to prevent a discussion on male specific health issues.

      Yeah yeah, I know, feminists are great and anyone who disagrees is evil.  Never question feminism/feminists is the left's dogma.

      I'm not sure how I feel about it.

      I fully support former trans (completed trans) joining the military.

      What do we do when the loony "trans" like Elliot Cope, Milo Stewart, Riley Denis and Dakota want to join?

      People, like my father and his 2nd wife, wind up "purchasing" babies from other countries when they are designated to be UNFIT to be parents in the USA.

      All you need is some cunt of a social worker and you're declared unfit.

      We had this problem and fought it and won.  It still didn't fix anything because the city adoption agency said they couldn't work with us because they didn't feel we would trust them anymore.

      Lose - lose situation.

      There are lots of reasons not to have sex with women but STD's are not one of them.  Gay men in particular are just full of STD's.

      I've never had an STD/STI.

      I'd say that anyone (male or female) willing to take dick behind a dumpster at the back of a chippie is gonna have lots of diseases.

      I did not say that feminists are behind this policy.

      I said that feminists are fucking liars when they claim that they are about gender equality.    They are always silent when males are at a disadvantage.  Reverse the genders and feminists would lose their minds.

      97% of British dentists and 94% of British doctors say that both should be vaccinated.

      More proof that feminism is man hating and special rights for women.

      It's strange how Americans keep demanding that we go to an NHS system, even though the reasons they hate the American system is also a major problem in NHS systems.

      Asset stripping is the normal in NHS systems for long term care.    The only way to prevent this is to have private insurance to protect yourself.    It defeats the purpose of the NHS when you have to have private insurance as well.

    • RE: I've changed my mind. I don't want government run healthcare

      If socialized medicine is no better when it comes to death panels, then why demand the US switch?

      Umm, without private insurance, waiting times in the UK are very long.  Hospitals and clinics come up with creative ways to help meet targets, such as giving people appointments, then cancelling them and labelling the person as "socially unavailable", meaning they don't want to come it because it interferes with their lifestyle and whatnot.

      Umm, you are being dishonest.  Your link is about specialists, not normal GPs.

      Also, you ignored the bit where they said that part of the reason waiting times are getting longer is because pretty much everyone has health insurance now under Obamacare.

      In the UK (last month I think), the news full of articles about not having enough dermatologists to meet demand, so appointments are nearly impossible to get.  The same goes for countless other specialties.

      If I didn't have private insurance, I would have died a decade ago due to a mismanaged ear infection that was raging and causing extreme pain, but the NHS system wasn't designed to deal with it.

      I also have permanent nerve damage in both hands because it took so long to get referred when the NHS was telling GPs not to refer people unless absolutely needed.  In fact, they were giving GPs bonus payments for reducing the number of people they refer to specialists.

      As a bass player, it really sucks having reduced use of my hands and hearing.  All caused by the NHS.

      +++++

      Another thing that makes the NHS suck ass, is that under the law, it's nearly impossible to sue for even the most blatant malpractice.

    • RE: Anonymity solution

      I wouldn't doubt that CNN's anonymous sources are CNN themselves.

      I mean, we've seen how "honest" they are with stories like the black chick calling for blacks to burn down places white people live, but CNN report it as her calling for peace and calm by editing the video.

      Of course white people can never be victims of hate crimes on CNN.

      They refuse to question the narrative of BLM and the Evergreen loonies, even when there's video proving they are liars.

      So, if my mom told me to rape and murder babies when I was 15yo, you would fight tooth and nail to keep me from getting punished if I did what she told me.  BULLSHIT.

      Let's see, you are comparing willing throwing a grenade at soldiers vs being raped by some old pervert.    You really are desperate to defend a terrorist and war criminal.

      So you are butt hurt that Afghanistan didn't punish him.  Or are you butt hurt that the US didn't cuck to Canada?  Clearly you have no idea how war zones and "police" zones work.  They do not operate under the same legal rules as a locality would if you jaywalked.

      Trudeau planned it so he would not have to inform Parliament.    Anyone who says otherwise is either a liar or an idiot and should be institutionalized.    It's also ignorant that he has more respect for the terrorist war criminal than he does for the victims.    Trudeau has a history that proves the kind of person he is and what his motives are.
