All of these people seem simply awful to me

Elements on the left and right seem more extreme these days. Some want open slather on islamification, others support stateist controls, and anti-semitism seems to be on the rise. All the while surveillance is now omnipresent and unchecked.

I will say, Trump is not as bad as he is made out to be. You'd think he was the antichrist the way some people go on. He does come across though as very very ignorant on many issues. I can't take him seriously at all. But then that could be partly my fault and my own prejudices.

Trump is an idiot, and so are a good number of his supporters.

Feminism is the notion that women are held back in every possible way by a mythic 'patriarchy', which really means all men. This is completely fictional and odious. Forcing children to be indoctrinated with this garbage is child abuse.

This sort of overreach from social justice weirdos is experiencing an inevitable blowback. Of course violence against innocents is never justified. So because some white supremacists are assholes therefore everybody with white skin is somehow to blame (the racism of this position eludes the intellectually bankrupt spruikers of this malignant idiocy), whereas Islam is never to blame after the latest hourly atrocity. Black Lives Matter is a racial hate group. The idea that white males cannot experience hate crimes, racism or sexism, is a chilling, evil idea. Part of the reason for Trump's Presidency is that ordinary people who don't 'tick all the boxes', felt continually outraged at being silenced by a section of the media and academe who are always bleating on about the disadvantage of this or that group (whereas disadvantaged people who work hard and have a few breaks tend to do well) and tending to silence the views of the majority. There was nowhere for the 'silent majority' to go, so they picked Trump. This shows the danger of overplaying the victim card, there is inevitable blowback.
