Earlier in this calendar year when we had a server crash (before I was a GloMod), I quickly became aware of the problem. Now many months later, we are finishing up the last many pieces of this fall-out.

We are soon to downgrade torrent ADD PICS from 5 SBP to 1 SBP (I think that is appropriate).

We are still working towards "missing torrents" being replaced. Members have helped SO MUCH and a few Staff members are keeping this wonderfully moving forward.

My QUESTION is – ...

A major crash like this is dependent upon back-ups. I know that Tom remains ill and often unavailable.

At this time, are site back-ups being accomplished to avoid this in the future.

Those back-ups are VERY PLURAL:

the MySQL database
the server directory for torrents
the server directory for torrent pictures
the server area for other locations that escape me now
a detail of mods and detailed site-changes that are available to re-install as needed

I am just concerned that after our recent crash being resolved many months later without clarity about back-up procedures being done -- maybe they are, but not acknowledged.

Even NEW options (forum downloads, forum "save drafts") are being added WITHOUT US (as members) knowing if these add-ons are being backed up.

Sorry for posting this publicly, but I am TRULY concerned.

Your avatar does you injustice. Now that we see the REAL you, I can only say, "WOOF!" again.

I cannot be sure what our ultimate member means exactly; however, the possibilities might be endless.

Unicorns have such demographic diversity.

I really like seeing the type of thing you are suggesting. We tend to call this "golden screw" and I have added ~goldenscrew to our future ~tagging system to find these few rare gems.

By now you all know that I am a Piss Pig. <grin>Some 10+ years back, when I was paying a kinky straight hustler occassionally/regularly for business, a golden screw was an option. Even today I regret that my oral fixation caused me to opt for drinking from the tap -- as so very often -- now, in hindsight, I wish I would have changed up for a change. I'm still wanting this and have never yet experienced a golden screw. <frowns>One of my other pet peeves is oral golden showers. In 99% of these videos, the receiving party takes in the piss and doesn't swallow. It goes into the mouth and then comes back out. WHAT A WASTE! I only recall seeing one video where the receiving party takes a good load of piss and only seems to miss a few drops. I wish I could recall that specific video (I believe it is from Treasure Island).

In my real life, you better believe that I don't miss a drop. Sadly, my straight friends won't let themselves be videoed. And even if it were, you wouldn't see/know how full their bladder really was because I just don't want to remove my mouth and waste a drop.

This is a great post. I, too, know very little about Martial Arts, but having more discussions here about this would be great for others and myself.

I'd love so see some pictures of the Gay Games and/or your local workouts.

This is a great section of the forum for your posts (Gay Sports Enthusiasts). Perhaps down the road we could have a Special Interest Group (SIG) for this particular topic. I really like all the SIG's here at the GT.ru forum. While I have my particular HOT interests, I really like reading from all these areas. Every SIG leader seems to have their own style. I, personally, love reading all of fancydude's recipe introductions – he makes us see cooking from a long-time perspective. I, myself, tend to post a lot of pictures of guys pissing -- LOL.

I would think this kind of topic could include a lot of things -- history, announcements of country/world MA events, techniques, mental stamina, etc.

I really look forward to hearing more about this from you and other interested members.
