    • RE: BREAKING: Trump Administration Removes LGBTQ People from 2020 Census

      @wohdin:

      Friendly reminder that the Trump administration is going to do everything in their power to gerrymander the entire country into the ground in order to eliminate any sort of remaining shreds of that pesky "democracy" that the right so despises.

      That is sort of true… but not in the way you stated it.
      Historically, the democrats have gone to extreme lengths to justify absurd gerrymandering, usually by promoting minority groups.
      The corrupt gerrymandering is already in place.
      Trump will work to eliminate these bizarre gerrymandered districts - which is a form of "gerrymandering" itself.
      How dare Trump make things fair!  Darn him anyway!    :cry2:

      Why do people come to this section just to complain that this section exists?

      I bet they would have no problem with this section if every post was slagging off non SJWs.

      Next, there will be people complaining that there is nudity on this site, and it promotes homosexuality… HORRORS!!!  :afr:

      By the way.. for those like me who didn't know what SJW means.. it's a "Social Justice Warrior" aka a whining malcontent.

    • RE: BREAKING: Trump Administration Removes LGBTQ People from 2020 Census

      I'm puzzled by this message.  How many LGBTQ people do you think would identify themselves as LGBTQ in a census?  I think very few.  Supposedly 35% of the population is either gay, lesbian, or bisexual.  I can just imagine someone filling out the census forms and saying "oh honey, by the way.. did I mention that I'm bisexual?"  or "hmm.. I have 5 kids.. I'm sure one of the girls is a lesbian, I caught the twins in a 69 the other day, and uncle Floyd was jacking off in the bathroom with a copy of GQ magazine.."
      I don't think the laws should be any different than if there were 100 or 100 million LGBTQ in the country.

      You have a good point, but I don't think it is realistic.

      In a way, it reminds me of an incident from roughly 15 years ago in which someone got ahold of a CD containing the identities of people who are HIV+…  and they published it!

      @inkball:

      Expectations that the 2020 census might start including LGBTQ subjects were raised and then quickly dashed on Tuesday after the U.S. Census admitted that it had "inadvertently" included "sexual orientation" and "gender identity," in a long-awaited report outlining new categories for the survey. In response, GLAAD's CEO, Sarah Kate Ellis, branded the move as a "systematic effort on behalf of the Trump administrationn to erase LGBT people."

      Last year, various federal agencies urged the Census Bureau to include sexual orientation and gender in their data as it was crucial to their role in enforcing the law. The survey, which has been conducted every ten years since 1790, includes a wide range of questions designed to gather data on everything from languages spoken to household plumbing facilities. The current census, however, only allows for a snapshot of same-sex households, but Democrats in Congress had pushed for more specific questions around sexual orientation and gender identity to improve results. The logic was simple: With more focused questions law makers would be better equipped to ensure appropriate legislation to improve the lives of LGBTQ citizens.

      Although the Supreme Court, in 2013,  struck down the Defense of Marriage Act, paving the way for the census to change the way it tracks same-sex households, the White House has sent yet another powerful signal that it considers LGBTQ concerns as frivolous.

      Meghan Maury, Criminal and Economic Justice Project Director of the National LGBTQ Task Force released a statement:

      "Today, the Trump Administration has taken yet another step to deny LGBTQ people freedom, justice, and equity, by choosing to exclude us from the 2020 Census and American Community Survey. LGBTQ people are not counted on the Census—no data is collected on sexual orientation or gender identity. Information from these surveys helps the government to enforce federal laws like the Violence Against Women Act and the Fair Housing Act and to determine how to allocate resources like housing supports and food stamps. If the government doesn’t know how many LGBTQ people live in a community, how can it do its job to ensure we’re getting fair and adequate access to the rights, protections and services we need? We call on President Trump and his Administration to begin collecting sexual orientation and gender identity data on the American Community Survey as soon as possible and urge Congress to conduct oversight hearings to reveal why the Administration made the last-minute decision not to collect data on LGBTQ people.”

    • RE: Jeff Sessions Deserves to be in Jail.

      @rawr:

      Sorry. Just being honest. You can't lie under oath.

      This story is blowing up right now so I'll just link the original article.

      https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/sessions-spoke-twice-with-russian-ambassador-during-trumps-presidential-campaign-justice-officials-say/2017/03/01/77205eda-feac-11e6-99b4-9e613afeb09f_story.html

      The context doesn't matter. If you lie under oath to congress, you should go to jail. That's also the law… That's where you go when you do that... I wonder where he will end up? This will be interesting to see how corrupt the US government has become...

      I'm not wild about Sessions nor Goruch, however, ever since Bill Clinton emphatically lied under oath, it is virtually impossible to prosecute any high ranking public official with perjury.  The conclusion of Watergate is that nobody, not even the president is above the law.  The conclusion of Bill Clinton's presidency is that the president (and other high ranking public officials such as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton) ARE above the law.  Cest la vie!

    • RE: Trump speech breathes new life into Trump Rally: Dow hits 21,000 for 1st time

      @nydude25:

      Trump knocked it out of the park last night with his speech. Wall Street gave their approval today as the Dow was up more than 300 points today to close at another record level.

      Even CNN's own Van "This was a Blacklash" Jones complimented Trump's address to Congress last night. Less than an hour after Trump honored the widow of a slain NAVY Seal, the Democratic commentator suggested that the commander in chief had officially begun to look the part. Jones said, "He became President of the United States in that moment, period. That was one of the most extraordinary moments you have ever seen in American politics."

      _(CNN)President Donald Trump's first address to Congress received largely positive reviews from viewers, with 57% who tuned in saying they had a very positive reaction to the speech, according to a new CNN/ORC poll of speech-watchers.

      Nearly 7-in-10 who watched said the President's proposed policies would move the country in the right direction and almost two-thirds said the president has the right priorities for the country. Overall, about 7-in-10 said the speech made them feel more optimistic about the direction of the country._

      http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/28/politics/donald-trump-joint-address-poll/

      I noticed that also, in fact I have some investments which were doing well since the election, that shot up after that speech. However, after that withdrawal of repealing Obamacare, my investments have taken a big hit.  I think it is only temporary, it may only be coincidental, but people should be mindful that when they attack the PRESIDENT.. they are also undermining the county.

      @tempbo:

      This sort of post is EXACTLY why I think there shouldn't even be a political forum on this site. I think just from the title of the original post it's clear that this was intended to anger other forum members. Why would you behave so stupidly, when I might read this and decide never to upload anything here again - because why share with someone like you?
      I suppose you enjoy the attention you get from picking online fights. That alone says enough about you for me to know that I don't like you, don't want to share my porn collection with you, and that any site that gives you a soapbox to stand on is probably not one I'll enjoy.
      Good job.

      The category of this forum is "POLITICAL DEBATE".  If you don't like political debate, I would suggest you don't enter the portion of the forum dedicated to Political Debate.

      As for your suggestion that you won't upload anything here again…. I compared my stats to yours.. and I upload an average of 70 times as much per day as you do.. hmm...

    • They thought Trump was crazy in the 3rd debate..

      In the 3rd and final debate, the moderator Chris Wallace asked Donald Trump if he would accept the results of the election if he lost.  His reply was expected to be "Yes", but he said "maybe".  This shocked the moderator and Hillary.  Hillary then lectured that no matter what, whoever wins the election is to be accepted and respected, even if you don't agree with them or don't like them etc.  Pretty much everybody agreed that once the election was over, the winner would be recognized, and political differences over the legitimacy of the elections would be over and done with.
      That was when Hillary was expected to win.
      Since then, Trump has been attacked daily by the democrats and most of the media.  They have been calling for his impeachment since the moment he won the election.  It has gotten so absurd that Trump can't fart without someone demanding an independent council to investigate it.
      So much for accepting the results of the election.
      In regards to Obama, and specifically Hillary.  Every time they have spoken since the election, they call for never ending resistance - which is exactly what they were so adamantly opposed to.    👼

    • RE: ObamaCare is a Damn Fine Law

      @aadam101:

      It's pretty clear from the Republicans actions today that ObamaCare is pretty damn great.  For the last 7 years they held votes to repeal it and today is the day they have all waited for it…....and they failed miserably.  They lied to the American people for close to a decade and told them how bad this law was when really it was an extremely conservative plan that just happened to be signed off on by a black man.

      The GOP should be ashamed of themselves......especially that weasel Paul Ryan.

      Although I would agree that Paul Ryan is a weasel, you are wrong about Obamacare.
      The idea was to make health care affordable so that people could obtain it if they wanted it.  Instead, Obamacare didn't lower healthcare costs.. in fact it caused healthcare costs to go through the roof.. and people are FORCED to purchase insurance or are heavily penalized.  The insurance plans cover only the very basic and fundamental things.  By forcing people to purchase healthcare plans that they don't want and can't afford is pretty much just a poll tax to subsidize a small minority of people who use up several millions in healthcare resources all  on their own.    Obamacare will die.. it is unsustainable.  Even now in the state of Alabama.. there is only ONE insurance provider to choose from and even that one is failing.
      What will happen is that instead of fixing Obamacare… Obamacare will crash and burn.. leaving millions without the insurance they paid for, and then Trump will save the day with a new healthcare system that even democrats will be forced to vote for because there is no alternative.

    • My first political post..

      I posted this as a reply to a previous message, but very few people would have found it buried under dozens of other comments.. so I'm posting it again as a "new topic".

      I commented on Democratic Representative Adam Shiff's Facebook page.  I chastised him for attacking Trump constantly.  I reminded him that during a CAMPAIGN it is fair to attack a CANDIDATE.. but after an election, it is a crime called SEDITION to attack the president of the United States.  After the election, politics need to end, so that the process of actual governing can begin.  In other countries, attacking the leader would get one put in prison, or even shot.  Even in England which has "freedom of the press" there is an exception.. the press are forbidden from attacking the Queen (and  to some degree the other Royals).  To do so is a crime.  It is ironic that decades ago, there were fairly credible news programs.  In fact, believe it or not, CNN used to be the most credible news outlet in the world!  Now it is fake news, the Clinton News Network of liberal propaganda, and frankly equivalent to a terrorist organization.  Instead of REPORTING the news, they do little more than fan the flames of anarchy and anti-US sentiments.  Again, decades ago, there were credible news programs, and then came along programs that parodied the real news such as John Stewart's "Daily Show".  That show began as being a funny comedy.. but then people started preferring to watch the parodies of news (fake news) to real news.  Most mainstream news media are now a group of ignorant, nihilistic talking heads.  I went on to point out that Adam Schiff and his liberal cronies don't care about the welfare of the USA.. but instead care about covering their own asses, and pandering to the liberal populaces to keep their worthless asses in power sitting on a soft leather chair in the halls of Congress.

      Does my comment sound reasonable?  It didn't to Adam Schiff and Facebook.  The very next day after posting that, my facebook account that I  had for 10 years was not just suspended, but permanently disabled with no warning, no explanation, and no opportunity to refute or appeal the punishment.  I can't even access my OWN comments from that account, to retrieve 10 years of comments and posts and my friends list.  Talk about censorship!  The way Facebook works now is.. if you dare to say anything that means anything.. you are risking having your account permanently terminated!  All facebook wants is all your email addresses, phone numbers, real names, family members names, photos, addresses, cell phone numbers, work history, hobbies.. and they DO even sometimes ask for social security numbers as a form of identification (which is a felony).  They are like the NSA which collects data on people.  Facebook they directly or indirectly supplies this information to anybody who will pay for it, including telemarketers, advertisers, government, information services that sell your information for big $$$, etc.  This is not my opinion, it is a fact, because I get phone calls and snail mail in my post box addressed to names that I only use on Facebook.  By the way, name one other social networking site OTHER than Facebook which requires one to provide real names, phone numbers, etc.  There isn't one.  That is absurd for many reasons.. one reason is if you have a common name such as "John Smith"  or "Jose Menendez" there is little chance that anybody could ever find you on Facebook.  Also, if you had a name such as "Englebert Kleppers" then you have no anonymity at all.  In the past, I used to tell people that they were crazy to ever give out their real names, real phone numbers, real addresses, where they work, and pictures of their families.  That opens the door to all sorts of disasters such as past relationships coming back to haunt the person.. people in the workplace interfering with one's family life,  children being put in jeopardy from enemies of their parents, blackmail, impersonation, identity theft, etc.

      This applies to everyone from whatever political leaning.

      This is the response I was looking for.. from the god of the forum…hehe

      If anybody is a liberal.. I will either convert them to being at least moderate and perhaps republican or conservative...
      or their heads will explode from the pressure of me stirring up all the shit that is in their liberal skulls.

      I will dig up my comments from months ago.. and have new ones.  In fact, I rarely offer my OPINIONS, I stick to facts, which drives people NUTS.

      I don't yet know where I should begin... I have found that getting political often results in flame wars.. but I see that there is a political debate group here.  Is there an administrator or moderator that would object to me posting things that expose how awful and vile the liberals are?

      I would like to share my "proof" so that others in the group could use what I post to "spread the word".  I am cautious about getting political.  Last month, someone I had chatted with weekly for over 20 years unfriended me on Facebook because I criticized ultra liberal talk show host Seth Myers.

      I have often wondered why there are some fantastic photos of guys, which look like they are from a video, but the video doesn't seem to exist!
      One theory about that is that these still images are from amateurish videos which have a few selected still images extracted from the videos, and enhanced with photoshopping, to entice people to join paid sites.
      In a few cases, I have found the videos from which some great still photos were made, and the videos are usually disappointing and not nearly as nice as the still images.
      I have seen some videos in which guys who are obviously in their mid 20's have been photoshopped to look MUCH younger and posted as
      still images.

      I frequently tell people that still images "lie".  Especially b/w ones.. because they are often photoshopped.

      He's sure added a LOT of tattoos.
      I've asked a lot of people with tattoos if they regret getting them.  Surprisingly to me, they do NOT regret getting them!

      One theory I have about that is that they "wear" their tattoos like clothing, or hair… and without them, they feel naked or bald.
      Another theory I have is that even if they do regret them, they never admit it.

      There are some tattoos that are just a bad idea.. for instance... getting the name of a girlfriend or boyfriend tattooed on one's body...
      and then when that relationship ends.. the new girlfriend or boyfriend is not too enamored with that tattoo.
      One extremely attractive cam performer got a huge tattoo of his mother's face tattooed on his chest.  It covered half his chest! The face
      looked very creepy, not pleasant at all.  He turned off just about all his fans with that tattoo.
      I knew this straight guy who had the names of several guys tattooed all over his body.  I'm not sure why he did this.. but my guess is
      those were young men that he knew who died in the military.  But.. I think that has caused problems for him.. because no girl seems
      to want to have anything to do with him even though he is quite tall and handsome and friendly.  I found his facebook page, and he was
      ecstatic when he finally got a girlfriend.  He was head over heels in love with her.. but.. that facebook page tells a story, because a few
      months after announcing his relationship with her and posting photos of them together.. there are no new photos of her, and it has been
      years since then, and no NEW girlfriend.  Pretty sad.

      Lastly, when one has visible tattoos on their body, it handicaps their job opportunities.  For instance, getting a job in a restaurant as a server, or in a theme park.
