    • RE: Nintendo Switch

      @Lanamariah2:

      Nintendo is back baby.

      The switch is a sexy piece of hardware.

      I bought the Switch a couple of weeks ago, after scouring the earth to find a store that hadn't outsold them.

      I really like it, it's incredibly user-friendly. It's fast, it's easy, it just has Breath of the Wild going for it, which means that I'm finally forced to finish the game before jumping into my next adventure.

      But it's not exactly perfect… I think that with most consoles, jumping in early leaves you open to some technical troubles. The buttons on my joy-con, for instance, have already displayed some technical problems. I'm no button-masher, but still they've quickly started to show signs of struggle after playing Breath of the Wild. So I had to bring my joy-cons back.

      It's one of those things that happens a lot when there is a new product on the market. In hindsight, I'm still happy as a peach, but I think I should have waited perhaps a couple of more months for a new batch.

      That is your argument? Let's have a look at the facts here.

      You posted 5 separate topics… complaining about posters not calling out DrWas or complaining about posters not giving you attention. Five topics that have literally nothing to do with politics or debate. It's all about you, and how your not getting attention. It's all about you demanding that your imaginary boogeymen give you the attention you crave.

      DrWas might be a shitposter who has the same old pump-and-dump-routine as you do, but at least he doesn't dedicate five goddamn topics to himself trying to paint himself as a poor defenseless victim.

      So congratulations, you've proven a point. You're just as meaningless a poster as DrWas, spamming up the forums like there's no tomorrow, except that you're worse than a spammer, because you're a self-congratulating spammer who wants to be the subject of discussion. You've somehow managed to be worse than the person you were trying to imitate. Congratulations, you've proven to us all, you are indeed the bigger idiot.

      edit:

      And holy fuck, it's easy to see why people accuse you of being a goddamn sockpuppet. You tend to reply to yourself quite a bit. Just like various other shitposters.

      https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=50446.0

      Look at what I did there, I used the modify button, to add something to my post, instead of posting another goddamn reply to myself. Holy fuck! Did you guys know that you could do that. It's almost as if this board software allows you to edit your posts, so you DON'T have to spam threads with meaningless replies to yourself. It's almost as if I know some online debate etiquette!

      Your mind is blown, I'm sure.

    • RE: US denies visas to gay Russians fleeing Chechnya

      NOPE.

      Just because it makes liberals look like hypocrites, doesn't mean it's deflection.

      We're talking; apples vs apples here.

      It's like how liberals get butt hurt when Obama is brought up, unless it suits your narrative.

      Comparing the british system with the american system is comparing apples to oranges, a false equivalence if thefe ever was one. Labour and tories have different views regarding a host of social issues,  views that differ greatly from the American democrats a d republicans. For one, the religious angle is completely lost on the British system, while it is a dominant element in American politics.

      But why talk about the british and their politicians in a thread about the USA and chechnya? Last time I checked the UK is not the USA and neither is it Chechnya

      Emmanuel Macron is holding little back in his talks with Putin, urging Putin to take a stand against homophobia.

      Which is of course rich, considering that it was the state-sponsored media outlet "Sputnik" that reported earlier this year that Macron was having an extramartial affair with a man.

      @raphjd:

      We can be critical of Trump, but we can't talk about Obama, unless it further the liberal narrative.   We see it in so many threads.

      You can talk about Obama, but why talk about Obama in a thread about Ted Nugent and Hillary Clinton? Because Nugent never mentioned Hillary, and Hillary isn't working with Obama. So the only reason to bring up Obama is to derail the thread, or to deflect.

      If you want to talk about Obama, then create a thread about Obama.

      @chacha:

      How do you deal with family members that are right winged/Fox News/ Trump Supporters? I find it interesting how people can be from the same family and have such opposing views.

      If I know people have a drastically different political viewpoint than I do, I assess the situation. Are these people with whom I can have a respectful discussion about subject X with, or will subject X eventually end up a shouting match? Depending on the answer I simply avoid talking about a subject with people who I know I'm going to have a shouting match with.

      Live and let live.

      He's one of yours.

      Let's talk about how liberals in the UK protected muslims for a decade so they could rape over 1,400 young white girls.

      Yes, let's do that, but not in a thread about Kathy Griffin, a comedian on a different continent that the UK, who was relevant somewhere between not now and not ever. Let's discuss the Rotherham scandal… in a thread dedicated to the Rotherham scandal.

      Reading up on the Rotherham scandal, let's discuss the case and how it eventually led to the arrest of various people who were responsible for this tragedy.

      Does anyone have any news on how the Rotherham police and various politicians responded to the news? Have their been repurcussions to the creation of a climate in which these crimes could take place? How many people working for the police and local government were involved in this case have gotten arrested?

      Obama had BLM at the White House.

      Which is worse; a hate based terror group or a washed up never should have been who's only claim to fame over the last 40 years is "buffalo jerky"?

      But obama isn't president anymore… and plenty of people called him out on it... so why bring up Obama? Judge the actions before you, don't point at others and say that because they did it, you can do it too. 2 wrongs don't make one right.

      @Frederick:

      Now now.. watch the vulgar language!  Seems like you don't like to be confronted with current news stories that are quite significant.. such as Hillary Clinton saying just TODAY that it is the fault of the New York Times and the DNC that she lost the election.   Who is she going to blame for losing her mind?   About the only person she HASN'T blamed for her loss in the election is Donald Trump!

      So why then are you absent from the thread where it got revealed that the number of refugees being allowed in is going up?
      Where were you when Trump bowed before the Saudi princes? Wasn't that something he attacked Obama over?

    • RE: TRUMP WILL NOT BE IMPEACHED- Sorry!

      Why are you still talking about Hillary?

      If Trump murdered a prostitute, you'd step up and claim that somebody else murdered a prostitute too. It doesn't matter. Hillary's sins might be numerous, but Trump's sins are his own, and everytime you say: "… but Hillary" it makes you seem unintelligent. That's not a read, that's not a personal attack, it's a perception, an observation. If person X does something, you do not retort by saying "but person Y did it too."

    • RE: Identity Politics and trans trnders

      Identity politics are cancer.

      They tend to reduce people to one specific element of their being, erasing all others. Playing the game of identity politics always ends in something that is rapidly spiraling out of control, it never gets better, it only gets worse.

      I've seen people bash transgenders, because they didn't subscribe to the mindset, apparently you can only call yourself a transgender these days if you have the correct social and political views, if you deviate you get branded a traitor to the cause. It's something we can see all over the place, the most obvious examples are all the sites out there who run opinion pieces on how we should consider certain people as people, because they have a differing political view.

      You cannot and shouldn't reduce people to one characteristic, it's demeaning and it sends the wrong signal.

      You can be gay and vote for Trump, you can be transgender and be conservative, you can be a woman and play videogames. One element is not the be-all end-all of your identity.

    • RE: TRUMP WILL NOT BE IMPEACHED- Sorry!

      I'm not a fan of Hillary, she lost because she's out of touch with the public and she's the embodiment of political entitlement, she ran a campaign on arrogance.

      But Trump, at this point, has been tainted by scandal and rumor. It isn't helped by the hysterical screeching of some of his supporters, who seem unable to seperate Trump from the election. Face it, Trump won the election, bringing Hillary up is useless, because Hillary is no longer a player in this fight, Trump on the other hand is a president whose actions have landed him in hot water. He should be judged solely as his own man, not as the opponent of Hillar Clinton.

      Trump messed up, he has done some shady shit these past couple of weeks, and that is on Trump and nobody else.
