Just wondering, but you are in the United Kingdom and the Supreme Court upheld marriage for gays, why do you care about "The States"?
Wow what an ignorant comment. We have enough people who don't care about us. We don't need more indifference or at the very least, lack of compassion from people in the same community (which itself is a dubious term).
The difference is in our perspective. My attributes and orientation do not define me, they are part of me. I'm a person first. I don't always agree with everything just because gay people want or endorse it. It has to fit every aspect of me.
Ok that's fine, but that wasn't the intent of your original post. If you would have said this in the beginning I would have respected that. However, in your original post, you questioned his decision to "care" about people that didn't belong in the same country as him, which implies that it is abnormal to show compassion towards the plight of others.
