I never even look at the ratings when making my decision to download. I look at the pics, and if they look good, I'll look for further info from tlavideo.com and aebn.net. In fact, I can't recall if I've even noticed the ratings.
Like they say, "Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one."
Same goes for a news forum I belong to where you can rate with "thumbs up" or "thumbs down". I never look at the thumbs. If someone doesn't like my post, if they don't have the nads to address it specifically, it means nothing to me.
Maybe that could be a suggestion with the rating system. Something like, in order to rate, you have to post a comment saying what you didn't like about the vid. If they just post something stupid like "It sucked", then I wouldn't give that opinion any value. But if they post something specific, at least the original seeder would be able to see if what they were saying is true.
Just a thought.
