    • RE: Red Frame

Thank you geographer for your answer. You moderators have to be very quick then,
cause it took the last times only a few minutes for the approval. Damn good work.

My second question was if other users can see the new pictures while the red frame
      is still in place?

      Thank you geographer,
      Gerald

    • Red Frame

      hello guys,

just added a few - bigger/better - pictures to an existing torrent.
the two pictures added by the uploader were very small: somwhere like 150x100 pixel.
it's not the first time i did that, but i alway ask myself what the function/properties of this red frame around the new pictures is.
seems silly but maybe i am not the only one who's interested. so i just thought i might as well ask you guys, you sure know  🙂

now, i established that i can delete my uploaded pictures while the red frame is around them,
      which comes in handy sometimes.
but can other users see the pictures while the red frame is there?

i remember the times when you asked us users to reupload pictures and
then you could sometimes see blank space where a picture should be.

the red frame disappears after a few minutes. is this an automatic delay just to
let us correct ouselfs if we messed up or are the additional pictures cleared by an administrator?

thank you guys, you are great.

    • RE: Well Prepared Torrent Upload Rewarding

Hello Uwe, great idea. Add a section in the upload-guide with a screenshot how a perfect torrent should look like.
Maybe even provide a stylesheet (*.txt) for the description section. I read the upload-guide quite often while uploading
      my first torrents.

    • RE: Well Prepared Torrent Upload Rewarding

Hello Uwe, thanks for your effort. This outcome isn't totally unexpected.
While your criteria where absolutely valid, the sheer number of points that had to be checked and the time it took killed it.

On the other hand have your activities improved the quality of my uploads. I add now things like resoluition,
video- and audioproperties and tags to my torrents. I even created something like a stylesheet.

I still think there should be some kind of reward for contributers.
Maybe a simplifieied version of your criteria-catalog?, sometime in the future.

Thanks ffor all your hard work, Gerald

BTW: I use the same tactic as ballard and upload minimum 10 - of course high-resolution - pictures
so no one can upload unrelated pictures - and most of the time they are  😠 - and mess up my torrent.
