How would you quantify that? You can smoke for 30 years and get cancer. Did the smoking cause it? There are millions of people who have never smoked a cigarette and still get lung cancer. Why would any insurer even insure someone who has HIV or smokes? They are going to lose money on that patient eventually.

RE: Sally Yates Has Been Nominated For JFK Profile In Courage Award
The best part about the Yates issue is that Jeff Sessions asked her point blank two years ago if she was willing to go against the President (Obama) if she didn't agree with him. She gave a terrific answer and said yes and then she did exactly what Sessions and Republicans wanted her to do and it got her fired.

RE: I Was Willing to Give Trump a Chance Until Now…
There is no legal requirement to publish your tax returns.
No but he did make a campaign promise to release them after the audit is complete. HE LIED. Several states are looking at making it a requirement to get on the ballot. He will never win the popular vote without being on all 50 state ballots.

RE: Republicans Quietly Admit There Will Be No Obamacare Replacement
Well, it's a lot closer to it than Obama-care.
I bet all my various insurances cost a lot less than the people living a few streets over, when I lived in Chicago.
That's probably true but it's being based on property values and crime rates and things like that. We don't value human bodies the same way as property.

RE: Mike Pence
I don't worry about conversion therapy. I'm more concerned about his policies will hurt gays. His lousy policies created an HIV outbreak of 200 people in rural Indiana when he defunded a Planned Parenthood that also happened to be this rural counties only free clinic and a needle exchange program. People had nowhere else to go and a lot of people couldn't get healthcare. I'm assuming mostly straight people given the high number of people in such a small county).
These are poor people. It's estimated this is going to cost the state of Indiana $100 million via Medicaid payments to pay for these peoples healthcare. These Republicans "save" a few pennies only to spend millions cleaning up the mess. It would have been MUCH cheaper to just give people the needles. They literally cost pennies.

RE: #45's Supreme Court Nominee Should Be Blocked
As polarized as the country is, and thanks to 24/7 news channels it is only going to get worse. The Democrats can obstruct for the next 2 years and see how that works in the mid-terms, but if you go out to middle-America, it won't end well for them. People can quote whatever poll they want, but let me tell you, outside of the coasts and metro areas, Trump's support is stronger than it was when he was elected. They aren't just happy with him, they are beyond thrilled. That doesn't look good for Democrats in red states in 2 years, especially if they look to be nothing but obstructionists.
You are wrong about that. The reason Trump won is because too many people though Trump would lose and they stayed home. Plus Trump had those 3-5 million fraudulent votes.
Next election the Republicans don't have a chance. America will be such a mess by then. The Republicans better get as much done as possible because they aren't going to have any real power again for decades after this. It will take that long to clean up their mess.

RE: Trump Tweets about "World War III"
There is no lie about it. It's not a term that the President of the United States should use unless there is an actual threat of it.
Would you feel comfortable with Putin or Kim Jong Un throwing that term out there in any context? Not to mention this tweet will be translated into other languages and it may not translate correctly to others.

RE: #45's Supreme Court Nominee Should Be Blocked
Either side doing a blanket block on appointees is bullshit.
Obama should have been allowed to pick Scalia's replacement, unless that person was deemed unfit based on their own merit.
I agree. Obama should have gotten to make that appointment. The whole idea that the Senate is allowed to just not vote is absurd. If the person is qualified then they should be required to vote. That goes for Trumps cabinet appointments too. The Democrats are behaving like children. The only person who is clearly not qualified is DeVos. They gave her the courtesy of a hearing. That's all she should get.

RE: ISP's End Copyright Alert System
Oddly enough I just got a warning. It's the first one I've gotten in a really long time.
Coincidentally, it was for a show that the network puts out for free on Youtube in it's entirety. I'm not sure why they bother complaining about piracy for that particular program.

RE: Which Player do you use or how to convert files ?
I use VLC mostly. If something doesn't play I use Media Player Classic.

RE: Other gay porn torrent sites?
I have used a couple others. I find this one to have the most content and I like the layout.

RE: Poll: Discrimination–Abuse and You
Education levels (of the parents and personal) tends to dictate bigotry.
It's not even about that. It's just the unwritten guy code. No matter how civilized and educated a man is, if he himself is not homosexual, he's just not going to get it and it's just the way it is.
He's going to distance himself from a homosexual man unless he's known him his whole life or they for financial and personal reasons have to be around each other. Like family, friends, coworkers etc.
He can be tolerable and be an "ally" and "to each his own" about it, but at the end of the day, it's not his issue to worry about.
I don't agree with that. There are plenty of straight males who are more than happy to be around gay men. I live in Boston and nobody cares here. I do think that education does play a role as raphjd stated above. This state has more educated people than any other per capita.

RE: I Was Willing to Give Trump a Chance Until Now…
Lewis said that Trump was illegitimate because of the election. He may have gone on to claim more things, but Lewis first needs to supply proof of his "illegitimate" claims. He also proved he is a lair by claiming he has never missed an inauguration other than Trumps.
Trump was the first one to insinuate that he is an illegitimate President. He claims there are 3-5 million fraudulent votes. He can't be a legitimate President if there is such widespread fraud. Let's face it, it's much more likely that the fraudulent votes went to the person who actually won the election but either way the election is a fraud according to him. His win is the equivalent of a participation trophy.

RE: Many peers but few contacts?
I have noticed that even when I am the only seeder and there are leechers I don't get connections automatically. I have to stop the torrent and start it in order for it to connect. I'm not sure why this happens.
Since it is a siterip it could also be that the peers in the swarm did not download all of the files. I often will pick and choose.

RE: Republicans Quietly Admit There Will Be No Obamacare Replacement
All other insurance is underwritten based on race? Huh? Can you provide an example of that?
I said "underwritten", which means they use risk factors to determine costs to each person. Obama-care does not do this, but every other type of insurance does.
Race may not always be specified, but location is. People tend to clump together based on race.
I bet if white men were being subsidized by other groups, SJWs would be protesting to change that.
That is not at all the same as basing it on race.

RE: Oscars 2017
I need to watch some of these movies. I haven't seen any of them. I'm glad African Americans were included this year. It saves us from having to endure another bitchfest by Jada Pinkett Smith.

RE: Netflix Suggestions
I really liked The OA! There is a hot sex straight sex scene in the first or second episode too.

RE: Gay Themed (Non porn) uploader(s)
I mentioned this in another thread but I like the idea of having gay-interest and shows with gay followings. I actually couldn't find Golden Palace on any other site. I didn't even think to look for it here until I saw this thread.
