Gingrich does a flip flop!
It's true what they say. Conservatism is a mental disorder. Once again it is proven what a bunch of perverts Republicans are. In the 90's these people were obsessed with who Bill Clinton was canoodling in the Oval Office but they are perfectly willing to look the other way when it comes to Russian collusion.
"Technically, the president of the United States cannot obstruct justice,'" he said, adding, "If he wants to fire the FBI director, all he has to do is fire him."
But as House speaker in 1998, Gingrich argued the opposite point. As reported by the The Times and other news outlets at the time, when referring to the investigation into President Clinton after his repeated denials of having an affair with Monica Lewinsky, Gingrich described Clinton's actions as "obstruction of justice."
"What you have lived through for 2.5 long years is the most systematic, deliberate obstruction-of-justice cover-up and effort to avoid the truth we have ever seen in American history," he said. Video of that statement was resurfaced in a 2011 CNN profile on him after he announced the launch of his presidential exploratory committee.

Pence's lawyer is the Godfather of Comey's daughter
If this isn't the swamp then I don't know what is!

"Cullen does have a few connections to the Russia probe already. He used to work with former FBI Director James Comey, and he's the godfather to one of Comey's daughters."

RE: Court in Pakistan sentences man to death for ‘blasphemous’ Facebook post
This is exactly what Trump wants to do. He is already looking at changing the federal libel laws (which don't exist) in order to make it illegal for reporters to say bad things about him.

RE: SHARIA LAW ALERT: MURDER ALL GAYS
Quit acting like this is Disney and Aladdin!!! It's not! They want to murder us! They hate homosexuals as much as the Westboro Baptist Church!
Or Republicans…...

RE: Trump financial disclosure form released
Dude. Those disclosures don't SAY anything! Why are you acting like they are relevant? Why can't you look into Anderson Cooper's family? Why can't you look into the Hillary dealings with Russia? Because you just don't want to hear it. It's fine. It's why Trump won. Because you guys can't handle the Truth.
Trump disagrees with you.
"I released the most extensive financial review of anybody in the history of politics. … You don't learn much in a tax return."
— Donald Trump on Tuesday, September 6th, 2016 in an interview with ABC News -
RE: Trump Under Criminal Investigation
Fox News is reporting the story as "according to the Washington Post".
The Washington Post bases it's story on 5 anonymous sources.
"Officials said"
I don't trust a story based solely on "officials said".
CNN is fake news; "ah poor poor white people" "It aint no hate crime" "we did everything possible to ensure Hillary would win"
So why is Trump using the same anonymous sources to repeat this alleged fake news? I assume WP knows who their sources are. Trump has no idea.
Most DC scandals involve anonymous sources. That's how it works.

We want to kill them too. We do it all the time.

RE: Trump financial disclosure form released
Trump lied about releasing his tax returns. He said he would release them when they were not under audit. His 2016 return isn't under audit since he filed for an extension a couple weeks ago. He has not submitted them yet.

RE: Covfefe was not a typo
It was code to the Russians. This isn't even the first time. Spicer did this twice already.

Trump tells Senators that the House healthcare bill is "mean"
President Trump told Republican senators Tuesday that the House-passed healthcare bill he helped revive is “mean,” and urged them to craft a version that is “more generous,” congressional sources said…..
....At the White House ceremony celebrating House passage, Trump and Ryan praised the legislation as the fulfillment of campaign promises that Trump and Republican congressional candidates had long made to repeal Obama’s 2010 statute.
http://www.latimes.com/nation/nationnow/la-pol-trump-healthcare-20170613-story.html
This man is not fit to hold office. He supported this very same bill just a couple of weeks ago. Now he has decided that it's "mean"???? He needs to be put into a nursing home.

RE: Trump isn't actually Republican or Democrat
I was hoping he would be a Democrat posing as a Republican.
Unfortunately it became very clear when he repealed the "fiduciary rule" that he doesn't give a damn about anyone but Wall St.

RE: Indisputable Fact: Republicans Control Congress
Royalcrown is correct up to a point. Major legislation would require 60 votes in the Senate, but the Republicans have not gotten that far yet.
They do have the "nuclear option".
That is even sadder. The only way they can get anything passed is to keep changing the rules.

RE: Puerto Rico votes in favor of statehood
Don't hold your breath, anyone. I lived in Puerto Rico for 8 years and understand the politics there. The 23% turnout represents a boycott by those against statehood. Turnout for gubernatorial elections is usually over 90%. The true sentiment about statehood in Puerto Rico is about 50:50. Even worse, Congress has ignored Puerto Ricans' wishes in the past and has no appetite for granting it statehood.
Why boycott? Isn't voting against it a better idea?
Also, why do they hold elections on Sunday? Wouldn't a weekday election be better since elections are usually held in schools and people bring their kids to schools? What am I missing?

RE: Indisputable Fact: Republicans Control Congress
It's really sad. The entire Trump administration knows how stupid their supporters are and they are completely taking advantage of that. They have gone around on TV for the past week blaming everything on the obstructionist Democrats when in reality they control everything and they still can't get a bill passed! The Democrats had this same two year window in 2009 and they got a ton accomplished.
The fact that they can't get ObamaCare repealed proves just how useless and inept these people are. They have had SEVEN YEARS. When was the last time something at your job took 7 years to complete? You would be fired…...

RE: Is Breitbart doomed?
How so?
Here is an example.
I'm certain these girls could have been doing something more productive. Instead they were fighting with a bunch of white people to wear their hair a certain way. I would argue that girls with hair like this take much better care of their than the average person. They spend 6-8 hours sitting in a hair salon getting and its rather expensive. It's great that they won but awful that they had to fight to begin with.
Meanwhile, schools with too many white people lose funding in California.
Are you seriously suggesting some row over hair styles = oppression?
That's horrible. The public school district I went to was actually sued over something similar and the case went to the Supreme Court in the 90's. The school district won and they are allowed to balance the schools based on race. In general, this allows a minority to go to any school they want while most white kids must attend the school in their district (or to a school with more minorities which a generally worse schools).
-
RE: Is Breitbart doomed?
Ok, the entire thing is that the school does not allow weaves and extensions.
It has nothing to do with black hair styles, unless black hair styles require weaves and extensions.
The black girls who got in trouble, knowingly violated the rules.
It would only be racist if the rule allowed everyone but blacks to wear weaves/extensions.
It's a cultural thing. That hair style is just more common among black girls so the policy disproportionately affects them. I guarantee that if a bunch of white men turned this hair style into a popular thing for them it would not be an issue.

RE: More proof liberals hate differing opinions
I don't agree with you politically but at least your posts have some substance. Mhorndisk, Frederick and Strangeloop (aka Frederick) have nothing to say. They just come to insult liberals and make as many posts as possible for the SPB. They are just spammers.
