Too Many Categories?
Subject: LGBTQA RSTUVWXYZ
I've heard some negative reaction to the new alphabet soup.
One guy sez, "I am homosexual. Any organization in which i participate should address itself to that subject. When you keep adding other tangential concepts to that, you dilute the interest in "your group."
"I, for one, don't want to concern myself on who uses which bathroom. Should we get involved in clothing styles, animal abuse, pedophilia….? I think the attraction to any group relates to the way that group represents 'me,' not this vast array of weirdos of which 'gay' has become only a small part."
What’s your opinion- too many categories or not?

RE: Is 'being gay' really an issue?
" One of my closest female friend confessed to me earlier, we have been friends for so many years! She finally confessed to me a week ago… and ofc I cannot accept her. But the problem is that I remember she asked 'what's the issue?', I honestly can't think of any other than the fact that I'm gay and not attracted to woman?
I'm not really sure how to explain this, but I feel like as IF I'm being a 'racist' (I know that is not the correct term at all!), but basically just because she is a female and I'm not attracted to her? (if that make any sense?) "
In order to help you, i need to clarify every line here:
What did she confess? What does "ofc" mean? What does "cannot accept" mean? If she asked 'what's the issue,' with respect to what? With what do you or she have an 'issue?'
If you are gay and not attracted to woman, how does this affect your relationship to THIS woman? You can't be friends? You can't fuck her? What?
What are you doing, feeling or whatever that makes you a 'racist?' -or a woman hater?
If you are friends and have been for many years, what has changed?
If i read thru this imaginatively, i believe that, after many years of friendship, she came on to you, wanting nookie, and you either can't or don't want to.
The simple answer, which MUST be accepted, is "I'm gay." There will be a period of tenseness and awkwardness, but either she will accept you and be the same friend she always was, or she won't be able to deal, and will drop you out of her life.
In either case you have no fault or blame in this.

Gay Sex in the Middle East
Everything i see printed for public consumption tells me that even to BE gay is dangerous in countries of the Middle East, like Pakistan, Arabia, Iraq and so on. There are laws with serious consequences for gays.
On the other side of the coin, i have a personal friend who toured the area and came back telling me he "had so many boys that he got blisters on his cock."
The blisters may be an over statement, but he was clear that he had no trouble. He's a chubby Frenchman, and does quite well in California as well.
So what's up with the public perception and the facts?
Thanks,

RE: Should #45 Be Impeached and Removed from Office?
I have a general rule for life: Don't think about what you want to leave; think about where you want to go.
Trump, as we all know, is a braggart, buffoon, and corrupt. But, he is a "known."
If he goes down the road, the country will not suddenly go 'liberal;' we will just get the next guy down: Pence.
I'm not claiming to know anything about the vice prez, but all i've heard is that he's more religious and supportive of religious things (read that auntie gay, aunti abortion…) than the Trumpster.
If impeaching Trump meant a whole new election (Ha Ha) then it mite be interesting, but taking the top log off a pile of more, rotten logs doesn't mean you get a new house.

RE: Would you use protection if HIV didn't exist?
Never did, don't expect to.
Back in the day, i've had the clap, and syphilis. Got the needle each time and all was fine.
Once i finally got this gorgeous kid i'd been chasing for 2 years. First, he wanted me to piss on him. Can't do that with a stiffy. Then, he wanted me to poke him. Not my thing, but….
He said he had the clap and i had to get a rubber.
Trip to the store; got the rubbers; put one on. No feeling. Mite as well be dangling it down a well.
"Fuck this," i said, pulling off the rubber and shot a load.
Next week, i was in the health dept office, getting the needle.
Now with the BIG A, it's far more scary. Both of my exes are positive, but somehow, it passed me by. Just stupid luck.

RE: Will you feel upset if ur bf refuse to hold your hand or kiss you in public?
Back in the day, my boy and i were near the Castro in San Francisco, and just getting started. We were walking down Market and just started holding hands- about a block or so.
The following Monday, a co-worker at my work- 10 miles away, in Berkeley, said, "Oooo, i saw you guys holding hands…"
I found it funny.
In another case, at a rally for president, i was affectionate in a crowd of over a thousand peeple. The guy i was with got very freaky and said he was afraid of being seen by his air-force co-workers. I scoffed, but left him alone. I felt a grinding on my back- yes it was a crowd, but they didn't have to be THAT close.
I told my guy what was going on behind me, and he said, "That's Ted, from my office."
What are the odds on that?

RE: My inner struggle
My test for sexual orientation is to place before me pictures of men and wimmen. They can be pornographic, athletic, or just scantily clad humans.
As i scan thru pix of wimmen, i get NO feeling of lust- or even interest. (I am a total fag, so no surprise.)
As i scan thru pix of men, i admire their shapes, their faces, their bodies and can differentiate between more and less exciting ones. When i was younger, i could actually get wood, just by looking at the rite guys.
If you get approximately equal responses for both men and wimmen, you are a bisexual- my boy friend is bi.
The use of the term "bi" is frequently used as a cover-up for a fag who doesn't want to admit it, but my boy is a true bisexual, so i know they exist.
Once you have decided, you're still not committed to "go in that direction," but at least you can envision a preference.

RE: Go TRUMP! Jobless claims at lowest level in 28 years!
In order to make sense of all this, a simple look at the graph in the initial post on this subject,
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/continued-jobless-claims-at-lowest-level-in-28-years-2017-05-11
and see that the graph shows job improvement starting all the way back to 2009. Your new president is in office for barely 4 months of this and surely can't take credit for the past 8 years, during which Barack was prez.
So far, i don't see the current prez doing much more that stirring shit. On the good side, he has given me many hour of fun, watching Youtubes of him and his lackeys stumbling about, making fools of themselves.
Hmmmm, interesting. I just looked at my net history and found that most of the really funny items have been pulled from youtube. I guess you have to search youtube for: The Daily Show, Tevor Noah, Bill Maher, Hasan Minhaj (gorgeous), John Oliver, the late show, Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert.
Here's Hasan doing his shtick:
They are doing a great job of turning a joke of a presidency into funny material.

RE: One night stands success rate, scale of 1 - 10
Over a lifetime, i have had approaching 1,000 'one nite lays.'
However, as i got older- in my 40s, circumstances caused me to evolve to "relationships," which, in turn, evolved to one partner.
As to preferences: The complications of scoring- hanging in bars, picking up hitch hikers, ad nauseum, were so problematic and sometimes painful that- as i remember it- there were only about 10 that were pleasantly memorable.
Most ended up with "How do i get myself into these things?"
I've lived most of my life with the phrase "Get the trique."
My last and now, only, partner and i have shared 35 years. I'm still a whore at heart, but can't imagine my world without Ellis, now.
