So far, there are no details.

The only thing that is known is that on 21 March 2026, his boyfriend/fiancé posted on X about his death.

Some media outlets have said that he was found dead at home, but I haven't found confirmation of this.

According to a poster on X, claiming to be a friend, they were supposed to go shopping last Thursday, 19 March, but Seth never showed up and didn't call or text.

@frostycab they often like live together and party together when not filming, its a bit of a cult and then you get booted out when youre used up... not hard to tell that theres likely a lot of drugs involved. you can literally see it in their eyes in some of the shoots...not saying thats exactly the cause but undoubtedly could lead to other risky behavior, which young porn stars are typically already prone to.

          AI explained it pretty well:

          1. The "McMansion" Party Culture
The "club" you mentioned refers to the way Helix historically operated. According to investigative reports (most notably a deep dive by The Baffler in 2020), founder Keith Miller created an insular, highly controlled environment. Performers were often shuttled in and out of a Las Vegas "McMansion" where they lived, partied, and filmed together.

Former models and industry insiders have alleged that this environment was sustained by large amounts of alcohol and drugs. The line between their professional work and their personal lives was completely blurred, creating a party-house atmosphere where drug use was reportedly normalized and, in some accounts, encouraged by management to keep the young men compliant and energetic.

          1. The Rapid "Aging Out" Process
Helix's entire brand is built on the "barely legal" and "twink" aesthetic—focusing almost exclusively on 18-to-20-year-olds. The reputation for performers being "kicked out" comes from the brutal reality of this specific business model.

Reports indicate that the studio actively recruits very young men (often via social media), treats them like absolute superstars, and then discards them just as quickly. As one source told The Baffler, "twenty-one is too old at Helix." Because many of these young men drop out of school or alienate their families to join the industry, being suddenly aged out and cut off from the "Helix family" leaves them entirely unmoored, without a resume or a support system to fall back on.

          1. A Tragic Pattern of Early Deaths
The reason the speculation about drugs and mental health is so loud right now is because there is a heartbreaking, undeniable track record of young men associated with Helix dying prematurely.

Seth Peterson is tragically just the latest in a long line. Over the last decade, several former Helix stars have died in their 20s or early 30s, including Zac Stevens, Alex Riley, Casey Tanner, Kyle Ross, and Blake Mitchell (Lane Rogers). While the official causes of death vary—ranging from car accidents to suspected suicides and fatal drug toxicities—this cluster of tragedies has led fans and critics alike to point fingers at the psychological toll and substance abuse habits allegedly fostered during their time at the studio.

In short: the speculation exists because you have a company that recruits highly vulnerable 18-year-olds, drops them into a financially lucrative, drug-heavy party bubble, and then spits them out a few years later to fend for themselves.

@cp2000 I see there was a couple posts here in 2023 when Kyle Ross died, I just found that out tonight that sucks he was a great guy.

He was a major insider for Helix tbh with helping with the 'cult' club kind of environment but I just saw how his last day unfolded. Because he missed an AA flight (apparently because of his pet Hank) he stayed in his car overnight and then the next day died in that one car accident. Sadly his dog Hank died too.

his last videos on X are sad to watch because hes so distressed and dealing with MS apparently as well.

            RIP

That is a really sad trend, and devastating for the families. A quick search mentions a staggering number.

Estimated Count: Industry blogs like Str8UpGayPorn have memorialized roughly 15 to 20 high-profile gay performers who have passed since 2021.

              From Helix alone:
              Lane Rogers (Blake Mitchell), 31 Dec 2025 - Casey Tanner, 28 April 2023 - Kyle Ross, 29 April 2023, Alex Riley, 22 May 2021 - Jasper Robinson, 21 Dec 2015 - Zac Stevens, 25 Nov 2015.

May they all rest in peace.

An earlier post gave some general explanation for the state of affairs in the porn industry as a whole - but it isn't just the Helix "McMansion" setup that creates the mental illness many of these boys suffer from: as a culture, the LGBTQ community idolizes youth - something ALL of us lose eventually! They think, like many of us, about TODAY, and not TOMORROW - when they'll no longer be able to earn a living selling body images. Then, they're totally unprepared when their fans move on to a newer, younger model (literally!).

In the case of Helix, many of their formers performers continue to perform in porn with other studios, some find a "sugar daddy" to support them (though, in my experience, those don't last so long either), and others turn to simple prostitution.. (I'm not suggesting these are the only options for former porn actors, only that they're common paths). Still, FEW "take the money and run" - that is to say, amass the money in their youth, and then let it work for them later in life (like when they're 25! LOL)

IMHO, this really isn't any different from pro-sports athletes - many of whom amass great wealth early on in their careers, then leave the sport - either due to injury or simply age - and within a few short years they're totally broke!

We don't have any details on Seth's death yet... if it is drug-related, we probably will never hear anything but rumours... and that's OK - families have more of a right to privacy than we have a right to know! But while he worked for Helix in the past, he was one of those who had moved on to working with other studios (Naked Sword, Next Door, Men, and others).

I, for one, usually liked his content - I love vers boys! - but was lately a little stand-offish - I followed (on X) an ex-lover of his, who also worked at Helix for a while, and who described him, after their breakup, as being physically abusive (including pictures). I hope and pray that there wasn't a violent end to his life...
