Ratio seems impossible to keep up

As title. I need to seed 6GB to keep my download rights and there's no way I'm going to be able to. I freeleech but it never uploads more than 1MB, if I'm lucky before nothing at all will upload. How am I supposed to keep a healthy ratio if I can't upload?
-
@bodyworship8 you can easily seed 6GB by making your own torrent, it can be a collection of videos following a common theme, or it could be a collection of videos from one specific porn actor.
But this will only be a temporary measure, if you cannot reliably seed what you download the situation is unsustainable, you will always run into the same problem.
Like most users, you probably are behind a CG-NAT, so other peers cannot reach you. Only way to circumvent this is to use a VPN that supports port forwarding, such as Proton VPN, or to rent a seedbox.
Those two options will maximize your likelihood to seed what you download, specially freeleech torrents and new torrents, as those are the ones with higher demand.
Keep in mind that when you download torrents that have been on the site for too long, they don't have any demand, so you can't seed them to recover the consumed ratio. You need to focus in the torrents with demand, which are ones recently added to the site and the ones that went freeleech recently.

First thing is what is your upload speed like? Is that the limiting factor for you? Go to https://www.speedtest.net/ and run a couple of tests and let us know the result.
-
If you can also tell us you current ratio and total uploaded/downloaded that will help to understand the scale of the issue.

@frostycab
So I left it overnight and it looks like it has started uploading properly, which is new.Ratio is currently 0.542, Download is 371.72GB and Upload is 201.56GB.
I can't have many torrents downloading/uploading at once because I don't have space for it. I usually download one thing at a time use and try to seed.
-
@bodyworship8 Honestly, if you really want to give yourself some breathing space the best way to do it is with a seedbox. I recommended it in another post a while back, and the chap managed to upload an insane amount. If you manage it well you can upload over a TB in a month, which isn't bad for what is essentially the price of a cup of coffee.
The original thread is here if you're up for reading through and learning about it.

It's hard because this site's trackers punish you harshly for having too low of a ratio so everyone's seeding and not many are leeching. I think a balance needs to be kept or else everyone just gets restricted for not having enough ratio and the whole system breaks down.
I don't know how much space you have but you should be running the torrent downloads from a HDD (any old ones will do), and even a 4 TB one isn't that expensive. You can basically just fill it up completely, no need to keep a reserve space like SSD does.
Then go download a bunch of freeleech torrent, as many as you can handle. Download them and seed them. The good thing about freeleech is that they don't count against your download (hence the name freeleech) and so even if they're large it won't count against you.
Periodically prune ones that just don't have much ratios and download ones with a lot of leechers.
I was able to get very high ratio at first because I used freeleech torrents but right now it just seems like hardly anyone's leeching. Besides by downloading freeleech torrents you are also helping those others who also wants to keep their ratios up.

Want to add:
You can also use seed points to make a torrent freeleech. So see something you fancy and it's not freeleech? Use the points there (or on a torrent you already are seeding) because freeleech torrents tend to get leeched more.
-
@bodyworship8 SEEDBOX BRUHHHH
seedbox and never worry about ratio or whatever you want to download again. Only constrained by your hard drive space.

That's true, but personally I'd not bother with that method unless I know that I can get a good return on the points investment.
For starters, you can only freeleech a torrent when its more than a week old, so you've missed the initial surge and need to be fairly sure that you'll get downloaders for it. Also, for those people who don't have fast upload speeds you run the risk of a couple of people with fast connections distributing many more packets than you, so once you've uploaded perhaps a couple of copies of the original you're no longer a preferred seed.
I much prefer simply exchanging my points for ratio credit. 600 Points will give me 10GB back, and while I could potentially get more through freeleech I'm not a gambler. Each to his own, I guess.

I have no sympathy. You downloaded gigs of data without seeding to reach that point. I don't do anything fancy (and I think I even have a bad VPN right now, but had built up tons of leeway) and have over a 2:1 ratio. I don't understand how people get in this position, you should have noticed gigabytes ago.
I usually download one thing at a time use and try to seed.
This generally isn't the best practice unless you're like one of the first to download a popular title. Most of my activity comes from old popular titles that people periodically rediscover over time. For instance, "[MEN] I Seduced My Wrestling Coach; Oliver Marks, Brody Meyer, Leo Levine.mp4" is active right now, I downloaded that 4 or 5 months ago. The Timothy Champagne packs from 2 years ago were also popular performers for a long time. Having 1 file seeding at a time really isn't a great strategy unless you're uploading videos that aren't posted here yet. Use a TB external HD or something, use that for your torrents, and keep them available for a while.
