St. Michael statue "stabs" his kidnapper

Can be explained as "unlucky" but if you know St. Michael's rep, you will see the spooky irony.

Karma is a bitch. If there's an ecclesiastical version of the Darwin Awards, this thief would be a good candidate.

Spooky irony? For comparison's sake, I regret the need to bring up another religious statue article, where a little girl was killed in a park by a statue of Jesus that toppled over.

Religious statues exacting justice on people? An image of Jesus or Mary on a water tower, or a piece of toast? Good on you.

I looked up the link, and the photographs struck me (!) as odd--no blood or such. I did a search to see if I could corroborate the story from other sources, and turned up some other things:

https://www.usnews.com/news/world/articles/2022-08-28/girl-from-italy-dies-after-statue-falls-on-her-in-germanyIt seems that little girls and statues have a troubled relationship.

@flozen Big reaction. OK.
