Vanishing torrents ...

Like there is a moderator on this page saying that their own content got a DMCA takedown, their OWN content and you are wagging the "it must be rules" stick.
I am aware things get removed when they break the rules, I have read them.
-
@krad3434 You seem to have misread or misunderstood what I have written because you have gotten it completely wrong. If you read back on my posts here you will see that I have explained exactly why OF content is being taken down. Creators are embedding it with a "digital fingerprint" that is identified instantly by bots that are searching for copyrighted content and a takedown request is sent out instantly. Perhaps you have confused what I have written with something somebody else wrote.
I was just trying to explain to you that there are multiple reasons why content is removed from the site, not just DMCA takedown requests because you seemed to be under the impression that that is the only reason why torrents are deleted and you didn't understand the torrent moderation process. I wasn't just talking about OF torrents, but all torrents in general, and I never made any assertion about the reasons why they are deleted.

In relation to another thread regarding star ratings being used by users to rate a torrent not following guidelines instead of reporting it because uploader missed out on providing a screenshot.
Are users missing out on them to circumvent what is being discussed in this thread? Is this effective? I have also noticed that these torrents have generic names or a descriptive title and later on would have screenshots uploaded.

@krad3434 Can the digital fingerprint be removed by re-encoding the videos?

This is forbidden ...
removing invisible watermarks in media files are prohibited ...As per part of Site/General Rules:

@john32123666 sorry, I wasn't asking for instruction. I'm only asking because I see a lot of re-encoded videos being shared and it's frustrating because some people over-inflate the quality to increase the size to improve their ratio.
I didn't even know it was possible until you mentioned the rules.
-
It's a sad day when you realised you need new OF videos to have a good time in bed lol
-
Yup, I've had lots of my torrents removed, one contained my favourite Luiggi from O4M scenes, another had Olaf's (one of the most difficult to find O4M models) videos, another a selection of Coroaroludo21cm JustForFans videos.
I even tried to make a "covert" torrent where I changed all the filenames to generic titles, and alluded to the cover-up in the torrent description, and within a few hours it was gone

I don't think most people do it for their ratio.
From my experience, most people do it because they think it makes the video better.
-
@dilemmax That I have no idea of there are likely ways. I doubt most people posting OF dumps are doing that considering some people just post 3 singular images that aren't screencaps for like 40 gigs of videos.
OF doesn't add those automatically, RFC does and their videos aren't removed as fast as some recent fansite posts.
I'm not even sure it's the issue at all.
Digital prints are mainly for finding who uploaded them, not just general removal.
Additionally the file would need to be actually downloaded to use the finger print and the action would be banning that persons account. The re-encoded videos I like are the ones that generally keep the quality and reduce the size. The ai enhanced upscaling is very hit or miss for retro videos but always cool to see for videos that don't have much bigger than like 480x480 around lol.

Each sites uses a unique id/tools when you join a membership ...
Once you downloaded their content each file is automatically marked w/ your user id ...
Once they find out any suspicious activities you will be block immediately and a letter of damages will followed ... -
Sadly still happening. There was one I wanted but it was like over 100 gigs because people just do full rips with little screenshots. I was going to download today but refreshed the tab and poof. It lasted a full day at least.

So for the meantime, I'm taking a vacation from sharing in the GayTor and and also hopefully this gets rid of that 1-star troller.
LOL! This comment right made me spew Diet Sprite all over the place. There are times when I log in and I see 1-stars down the board. I would say mostly, this individual despises collections of any sort. I could be OF, CB, or even collections of a specific porn star.
To have that kind of behavior is just odd. Really odd. I guess I don't get the subject of self-satisfaction in this case, but I guess it works for them if they have a shitty life or whatever. So, I'll play the role of the "good samaritan" and rate them.
-
ETA: Of course, IF there was no reasoning for it.
-
@djsoapbubble Yah. I really should just ignore it but I'd say WTF! I put effort in each torrent. Screen capture the video, put in the proper descriptions scrub through the video to save some screenshots, create the torrent and upload it. Those take time and then I will get a one star right away even though there aren't people who snatched the torrent yet. It's infuriating.
-
@Rotron Yep that moron has been doing the 1 star rating for the past 5 years i have been here. At least we keep him busy in here in stead of him being outside his parents basement making serious trouble
-
@dc2009 Hahaha I got a good laugh at that. Thank you.
-
@dc2009 @Rotron Oh, wow. This has been going on for 5 years?
Well, I will continue to play the role of "Good Samaritan". As I can only speak for myself, the process can be a strenuous task to get everything together (I blame my research experience for this horrific trait), lol!
Going back to the topic, the vanishing torrents are becoming really bad. As aforementioned, getting everything together in order to upload can be very time-consuming. I hardly know anything about "spyder-wares" or whoever it's called, but to receive a notification is a bummer because as I said, it's time-consuming! OR, if members don't get one of these notifications, then they'll receive a 1-star rating courtesy of the troll whose gracious gift keeps on giving, lol!
I guess in this case, perhaps we're in a Catch-22 situation. I wish things would improve, but if this has been going on for 5 years, it doesn't seem possible. But like I said, I hardly know how these things work out.
