Why are porn star ID request posts being deleted ?
-
@NF16 I was not referring to TLAvideo nor those other's you mentioned. There are a ton of sites charging subscription fees to view content.
I have begged for people to provide even one example of someone being successfuly sued for sharing content. I am still waiting for that one example.
if you are so concerned about sharing content.. why are you a member of this site? are you sharing content? I am very much aware that there are people here.. who never upload, never download, and are just here to cause trouble. For instance, I get reported constantly on Facebook. There are people whose entire lives are centered on reporting people on Facebook. It's their hobby. There are a lot of people who thrive on making other people's lives miserable. Many of them work for the government or sheriff's department.

@lololulu19 : It took me 30 seconds on Google to find examples of porn studios winning lawsuits and using the threat of legal action to force sharers and sites to settle. I've even given you a clue about one such studio in my last post. Your failure to do even basic research on a subject that you have repeatedly and vehemently posted about is duly noted.
The rest of your post didn't merit a response, other than derisive laughter. Thank you for living up to (down to) my expectations of you. I'm not going to bother to engage further, as you're not worth my time.

I would also like to see an example. There's an interesting article at https://torrentfreak.com/judge-understands-bittorrent-kills-mass-piracy-lawsuits-140130/. In essence,
- In the U.S. roughly half a million people have been sued for sharing copyrighted files in recent years, but filing of mass-lawsuits is not getting easier. A federal judge in Iowa has just issued a key order which makes mass-BitTorrent piracy lawsuits virtually impossible. The judge ruled that copyright holders can't join multiple defendants in one suit, since there is no proof that they shared files with each other.
This means that a studio would have to sue each person sharing or receiving a file individually--that's a lot of effort for little return.
-
@NF16 I see that you did not bother to provide even one example..
Seems like you are a troll that needs to be removed from this site.
-
@eobox91103 frankly.. for ZERO return.. and a lot of expenses. Attorneys are like blood sucking leeches when it comes to fees.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_trollThank you for that Wikipedia page--it has some very amusing images, such as "Don't feed the trolls" and "Internet troll popping out of the computer" (which I initially read as "pooping," perhaps an even more appropriate title).
I can think of someone in the forum who fits that definition of troll quite well, although s/he hasn't participated in this thread. I won't mention any names, lest I be labeled a troll (although I've been called far worse than that on here).
-
I forget whom.. but one of the veteran moderators of this site was surprised when someone reported a video that the moderator posted of HIMSELF jacking off that was taken down for copyright infringement! Think about that for awhile.
-
And speaking of amusing images, I checked the forum a few minutes ago and got the following screen:
The term "excessive load" could mean a number of things to this community...but I better stop, since this is admittedly off-topic, and I don't want to be labeled a troll.

"excessive load"
This happens when a website is updating [Server is busy]
So it doesn't mean a thing ...In computing:
refers to the beginning or executing a program by moving (loading) the necessary information from a drive (e.g., hard drive), into a computer's memory. Depending on the information being loaded, the speed of the hardware, and how other programs are running determines the load time. If a program or command shows a load average or progress indicator, it's an average of how long it takes to load or execute. With a web page or online service, load time is the total time it takes for the user to view the page or use the service. As more file requests are required and file sizes are increased, the longer it takes to load.

So it doesn't mean a thing ...I didn't think my attempt at humour was so obscure. Here's an example of what I think of when I hear "excessive load:"

@eobox91103 LOL gotcha !!! ... No Problem
[WATCHOUT OVERLOAD] ENTRY

@eobox91103 I saw a video 2 months ago with what I thought was an "excessive load" that was so huge, that I thought it was fake. A moderator assured me that it was REAL.

That kind of "excessive load" is always welcome on this site.

UPDATE
I recieved a help desk response to the original post question - aka: Why are porn star ID request posts being deleted ?The answers are as follows:
Regarding the banning of upload requests:
"About our differences with other similar sites, we are like companies. One company may has a different set of rules and also different work ethic. The site owner/administrator concern about this issue at the moment and implement it on our site."Regarding why porn star / scene ID requests were being taken down - the respondant misunderstood the issue but said:
"The main and the most important reason is because we care about everyone safety, regarding DMCA process. That's why we additionally prohibit users for using code name to name a torrent."Which is ironic because members performer / scene ID request posts are being taken down in this forum because they seek to identify the person by their professional / online name - so in line with the policy and not because they seek to codify their names.
CAN THE MOD FOR THIS FORUM PLEASE STOP TAKING DOWN PERFORMER / SCENE ID REQUESTS NOW ?
