Beetlejuice calls cops insurrectionists

Chicago mayor Beetlejuice has called the cops refusing to get the vaccine, "insurrectionists".
Of course, this is true because a Democrat said it.

Just goes to show you; Trumpites aren't the only ones who can't seem to get the word "insurrection" out of their heads! This Mayor, though, has used the word improperly on 2 fronts:
- "Insurrection: a violent uprising against an authority or government" - Oxford English Dictionary
The cops aren't being violent, and they're not proposing to overthrow the Chicago City Government - they're just defying an order.
This is their right! They can choose to not get vaccinated! (They cannot, necessarily, do so without consequences, but they can do it!). The City has said they'll be "sent home on a non-pay status" - which, if they're willing to do that, so be it! In spite of what Trumpites would tell you, this is still a free country!
Just remember though: free from arrest and imprisonment doesn't mean free from all consequences!
This is called "peaceful protest" - even if the end result is more violence in the city because of a lower police presence, so long as the sitting-out-cops aren't the source of the violence, it's a peaceful protest - no matter how much the politicians want to pitch a hissy-fit over it.
IMHO, they should take the shot. We prioritized front-line and first responder workers for the vaccines in the beginning, they should have taken the shots then.
But that's my opinion, and EACH of the Chicago PD officers who want to say NO have the right to do so. However, according to their Mayor and Police Chief, if they say no, they cannot remain an officer of the Chicago PD. That's not a violation of their rights! Jailing them because they refused to take the shots would be a violation of their rights! Limiting where and how they can work - for the city - based on their decision is not a violation of their rights!
For years, Disney had a policy: no employee with facial hair would ever work in a public-facing job! You could:
- wash dishes in the back of the kitchen, but not pick up the trash in the dining room
- Sew the costumes for Cinderella and Prince Charming, but not wear those costumes in the parade
- direct a blockbuster movie, but not attend the public screening
They have relaxed those rules today, but back in the 80's and 90's, they were FAMOUS for the inventive ways they got around the ever-expanding employment protection laws! To get around those restrictions, all one had to do was shave!
There were other, similar restrictions: hair length, hair color, tattoos, piercings, etc... all upheld year after year in the courts! Freedom doesn't mean free of consequences, it means free from jail! Besides: Disney offered them non-public facing work alternatives!

You are a typical liberal nazi.
You Go Karen.
ROFL - people who understand the difference between a freedom and a right are LIBERAL? people who understand the difference between a freedom and a right are NAZI?
I beg to differ, Comrade - I think you have a very poor understanding of the meaning of all four of those English words... Check your translator...
- Liberal: noun
- a supporter of policies that are socially progressive and promote social welfare.
- a supporter of a political and social philosophy that promotes individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise.
- Nazi: noun
- historical: a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.
- derogatory: a person with extreme racist or authoritarian views.
- derogatory: a person who seeks to impose their views on others in a very autocratic or inflexible way.
- Freedom: noun
- the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants.
- the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.
- the state of not being subject to or affected by (something undesirable).
- British: a special privilege or right of access, especially that of full citizenship of a city granted to a public figure as an honour.
- Right: noun
- that which is morally correct, just, or honourable.
- a moral or legal entitlement to have or do something.
- the right-hand part, side, or direction.
- a group or party favouring conservative or reactionary views.
Mind you, I only included the NOUN parts of speech here... you were using those terms to "call me" something, so that would imply a noun... these terms do have other meanings (albeit very similar ones) when used as other parts of speech.
Just a reminder: when we use words, they have meaning (and not the same way Humpty Dumpty uses them - though when I'm arguing with you, I so sometimes wonder if I've fallen through the looking-glass!).
Also, @raphjd, dear comrade: when you don't know the meanings of these words: Google is your linguistic friend
- Liberal: noun

LOL.
You believe in jackbooted "freedoms".
You have repeatedly said you support mandates that force people to get medical treatments that you deem they must have.
Counter this, you are absolutely against mandates and laws that do silly things like creating gender-neutral toy aisles and the like.
Nazi: noun
historical: a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.
derogatory: a person with extreme racist or authoritarian views.
derogatory: a person who seeks to impose their views on others in a very autocratic or inflexible way.The last 2 definitions clearly relate to you, based on your stance on the vaccine, masks, and whatnot.
Not surprisingly, Dear Uncle is clearly described under the last 2 definitions. Hell, even by his own words, he's a dictator.
You only believe in the rights and freedoms of humans that you deem they should have while believing that businesses should have unlimited rights and freedoms.
No thanks, I won't take any advice from you. I don't want to become a Nazi, like you and your party.

That's bullshit, and you know it. I believe that companies and governments have a right to require people that work for them meet certain requirements - being vaccinated is a perfectly reasonable one.
But people have the right to say no! What they do NOT have is the right to say NO without consequences!
Look, what's happening in Chicago right now is a confirmation of how this works:
- The mayor says all City Employees - including Police - must submit proof of vaccination by a certain date, or they'll be put on "leave without pay" status until they comply or are fired.
- The Police Union says "we won't comply" - and as a result, about 1/3 of all Chicago Police may be off the job in the coming weeks (without paychecks - that's the price they'll have to pay for their "freedom" to say no)
- The City, on the other hand is now looking at a critical shortage of Police Officers - not easy jobs to fill these days! And that's the price THEY have to pay for their "freedom" to require vaccinations of all employees.
One side or the other MAY decide the cost is too high, and relent... but both sides are within their rights and freedoms to act this way.
In your Russian homeland, this would never fly - this is utter chaos to someone as new to Democracy and Freedom as you (or at least your handlers) are... but this "chaos" is common in the Free World... But it'll work itself out...
- The City could carve out a loophole for the recalcitrant cops
- The City could start replacing the newest of the recalcitrant cops with new, vaccinated cops - and work their way up the ranks!
- The Cops could relent and take the shots - but under protest.
- The 2 sides may meet and come up with a more elegant solution.
What is NOT NEEDED is for someone - someone outside - to come in and attempt to force one side or the other to move... they each have their freedoms and their rights, and they're seeing the cost/price of exercising those right now - and it's up to them to make their own cost/benefit analysis and decide for themselves accordingly!
NOTE: Let's take this opportunity to make a distinction:
- The City demanding that their employees get vaccinated is a RIGHT - they have the RIGHT to make reasonable demands - like that all Police Officers attend and pass the Police Academy curriculum.
- The Police Officers who object also have a RIGHT to determine what goes into their bodies!
- These RIGHTS can COEXIST! Where the City would be BEYOND their RIGHTS would be if they tried to JAIL the police officers who did not comply! That would deprive them of their FREEDOM, and that would therefore be a violation of the police officer's RIGHTS!
- Neither side has the authority to say their rights supersede the others' - they are equally entitled to their positions.
- This is NOT UNCOMMON in Free Societies...
Counter this, you are absolutely against mandates and laws that do silly things like creating gender-neutral toy aisles and the like.
Absolutely - but this is NOT an apples-to-apples comparison. There is no health crisis around gender-neutral toy aisles!

You are a Troll Doll - a puppet of the Russian Troll Farms - anyone who disagrees with you - anyone who is against your position that the Government should enforce YOUR views, and no one else's - is a NAZI...
You're a pathetic excuse for a Republican... Even Trump doesn't go that far!
You only believe in the rights and freedoms of humans that you deem they should have while believing that businesses should have unlimited rights and freedoms.
The hyperbole here is in your use of the words only and unlimited... take that away and you get the statement that:
You believe in the rights and freedoms of humans that you deem they should have while believing that businesses should have rights and freedoms.
Add the word "too" to the end, and drop the unnecessary "that you deem they should have" and you have a statement I'll gladly sign on to:
I believe in the rights and freedoms of humans, while believing that businesses should have rights and freedoms, too!
As for your butt-sore-ness because I pointed our your Russian-based "outsider-looking-in" status, well, complain to Putin... he should re-station you in the US if your credibility is of a concern to him... (I don't think it is of concern to him - he feeds you such shitty information, he already knows you have no credibility!)

Once again, you prove you know more about Russia than I do.
It's just like how your side had much more Russian collusion than Trump ever did.
