AG Garland and conflict of interest

AG Merrick Garland’s Daughter Married to Co-Founder of Education Company Selling Critical Race Theory Resource Material to School Districts
No conflict of interest there, if you're a liberal.
Imagine the shit storm liberals would have had if that was someone from the Trump admin.
-
@raphjd That Jan 6 committee is powerless.
The deadline for answering the subpoenas was Oct 6... and the subpoenas were ignored.
Another deadline was for Oct 12.. and that subpoena was also ignored. That Jan 6 commission has failed.. and it will just fizzle away in time.
When is the last time Pelosi completed anything? -
Pelosi completes a lot of insider trading.

If Merrick Garland's daughter's husband shouldn't be selling Critical Race Theory bullshit (and let's forget the topic - shouldn't be selling to local school boards), then Trump's daughter - who was actually on the Government Payroll - shouldn't have been hawking clothes & shoes at the same time either.
Be careful: people in glass houses!
Merrick Garland's daughter's husband shouldn't be selling anything to the Justice Department... or to the Federal Government, for that matter... but to local Governments? I would say he's OK there...
Ethics 101 - clearly a topic you've never taken
-
Yet another topic that you side with libersals.
I know you are an idiotic liberal, but the conflict of interest is a no brainer.
Garland's official stance, as the head of the DOJ, that being opposed to CRT being taught in public schools is "domestic terrorism" while his son-in-law is actively selling CRT shit to public schools.
So simple, liberals are too stupid to get it.
-
@raphjd Really, congressmen should be forbidden from investing in the stock market, because their position automatically creates bias in various ways. They get insider information to determine what stocks to invest in.. and also, their legislation is influenced by the stocks they already own. For instance, if a congressman is heavily invested into electric cars, they are going to do everything they can to eliminate gasoline cars.
One bit of good news though. Pelosi made a deal in 2016 to remain as Speaker of the House. That deal was to step down as the leader of the democratics in the house in 2022. So, her days as House Leader are down to roughly 15 more months.
-
In Pelosi's case, she is her own insider.
She knows when she plans to bring something to the floor for a vote and tells her husband to buy or dump stock based on her plans.

well, I guess we've found yet another topic on which you are clueless as to how "the real world" works...
I'm not surprised, the US and the west have very different rules than Mother Russia...
You'll catch on eventually... keep trying!
-
Now it's clear why you voted for Hunter's daddy.
AGAIN since you are an idiot.
Garland's official stance as the head of the DOJ is; If you disagree with the anti-white racist shit my son-in-law is selling to public schools, I will treat you like a domestic terrorist.
I would have thought that even you would have been able to understand that.

You're such a tool... If Merrick Garland said he prefers Post Toasties in ads for breakfast cereals - even though his son-in-law works for Kellogg's - it's a breach of "family ethics", but it's not a "conflict of interest".
The fact that Garland's DOJ and his son-in-law's opinions about CRT are both leftist is NOT a conflict of interest! And if Garland "goes too far" in his defense of CRT, that's professional misconduct - but it's not a "conflict of interest" just because his son-in-law supports the same viewpoint - in his job.
What would become a conflict of interest would be if the DOJ started to investigate the company his son-on-law worked for... or even a "direct competitor" of theirs... something that would be directly beneficial (or detrimental) to his son-in-law (or his employer) in his official capacity... and that conflict would be easily solved by his recusal from all decisions regarding those cases.
Look, Comrade - word choices matter.
I'm not defending Garland's position on CRT - but it's not a conflict of interest. Its also not embezzlement, rape, treason, assault and battery, or jaywalking!
-
You are such a twat.
Garland is protecting, with the threat of the full force of the DOJ, his son-in-law's business.
I can't believe that even you are so fucking ignorant not to see that, but you are a liberal.
-
@raphjd Garland is self destructing, losing whatever credibility he had. He certainly is far more interested in protecting himself than doing his job.
I think they should hang Garland on the White House Christmas Tree!

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!
Trumpites don't like the Attorney General!
News at 11! Dog chases cat!
The Trumpites didn't like THEIR OWN Attorneys General, WTF makes you think they'll like a DEMOCRAT one?
Well GOOOOLLLLLYYYY! Gee Sergeant! I never thought of it THAT way! Surprise! Surprise! Surprise!

You can stop slurping Garland's back vag, he won't do the same for any business you are part of, because it doesn't benefit his family.

In my experience, Trumpites do not like ANY kind of law enforcement that might include "investigation" or "research" - mainly because they build most everything they do out of paper mache, mirrors, and deception. "Investigations" reveal these things, so NONE of the investigative arms of law enforcement are "good" for the Trumpites...
I personally expect Merrick Garland to enforce the laws of the United States - regardless of who comes under scrutiny: whether a streetwalker or the person the street is named after - up to, and including, POTUS: current and former (all of the former)! That's all! Not a big task. I think he's up to it (as I think Jeff Sessions was up to it, as were Eric Holder and Bill Barr - I don't honestly remember any others that far back.... and isn't that the point? Other than maybe the Kennedys, who remembers the AG? They're not supposed to be "famous" - they're just supposed to do the damned job!)
The Trumps are crooked and DEATHLY afraid of investigations... you can COUNT on their raising a huge stink when the AG comes knocking (not likely until after the Jan 6 commission finishes up).
-
"I would expect" is the dumbest state ever made about a politician or a political appointee.
AND ONCE AGAIN, just for you, Garland is using his position as the head of the DOJ to protect his son-in-law's business, that of selling CRT shit to schools, by labeling parents that are against teaching kids CRT in schools as domestic terrorists.
I know, you will never, ever be able to understand such a simple concept.

You silly twit - you really will believe anything they feed you, won't you.
There is nothing illegal about the CRT materials, and they are being sold to schools, not forced upon them.
Schools: Colleges and Universities, not middle schools for chrissake!
Garland is not hawking them, nor promoting the materials sold by his son-in-law.
Whether the classification of protesters against the CRT materials are "domestic terrorists" would depend on how they protested! And that would be the purview of the government to decide... if I could only think of the name of the department... not the Army, not Space Force, not the VA, not the Interior Department, not the Parks Department, not the Capitol Visitor's Bureau....
Oh! Yeah! That would be the JUSTICE DEPARTMENT - headed by Attorney General... damn, if he would only do his job!
Oh! yeah! That's exactly what he IS doing!

More word games to justify your bullshit stance.
Get one of your kids to explain it to you since you are too thick to do it on your own.

Are you suggesting I use too many big words for you?
English is a foreign language to you - I get that. Either that or your Primary School teacher would be very upset with you.
Either way, Google is your friend... all those big words have special meanings... English as a language has a different word for many very similar things (thus, the need for a Thesaurus!). Then again, English also uses the same word for multiple meanings.... hence: read
- Is that "reed" or "red"?
I don't envy adults who have to learn English! Kids do it easily because their brains have so many connections... by the time you hit 25, the number of available connections are WAY DOWN! Which is why "it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks"
-
And you are still too ignorant to get what is being talked about.
