GT.ru and NordVPN

We are aware that there is some sort of issue between GT.ru and NordVPN.
This appears to be due to one of the services we are using to prevent DDOS attacks, but they say they aren't actively blocking NordVPN.
If you are using NordVPN, please reply to this thread and let us know if you are having problems or not connecting to the site and/or tracker.
I'm having this issue.

I'm having this issue. Can access the site, but can't connect to tracker via NordVPN servers.

I can access the site and the trackers are working. Using the Nordlynx protocol, not the specialized P2P servers NordVPN offers, if that's relevant.

My experience for this site is that it's in the middle. Turning off NordVPN gives me the best connectivity, but I get no safety.

I have been having a problem for a few weeks where using the "Quick Connect" on NordVPN in my Vuze will have the "Tracker Status" show up as "Connection Error (SSL Handshake)". This is happening for most of the connections I am making, both for Seeding and trying to Download.
I am going to try the NordLynx and see if that helps any.
UPDATE: I switched to NordLynx and still have the "Connection Error (SSL Handshake)" error.

I'm having this issue.
Just wath other people said, site itself works fine, but trackers just won't connect and are just shown (in qBittorrent) as "not working". Tried with a bunch of the P2P connections that previously worked just fine, no go.

If you pause the connection in NordVPN, then re-announce/recheck the trackers, then resume the VPN connection, you can download and seed without issue. Weirdly, if you add a new torrent or unpause one that was paused when the VPN was off, tracker status on THOSE torrents will say "Not Working," but you'll still be able to download and seed normally.
Not sure how "secure" this is, because the initial connection is unprotected. But you can literally hit pause the second the tracker connection happens, then unpause once the VPN is back up.

Another thing that should be noted is that some users (especially ones who use NordVPN) need to use Google DNS to make things work. If you're using NordVPN, enable the custom DNS setting and use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your DNS servers.
You do this by opening NordVPN, click on the gear in the top right, click on advanced, and add both numbers in the first section.
Let us know how you get on with this.

Not quite sure what's going on exactly, but it seems as of right now, I can connect to the non-SSL tracker (didn't yesterday) indepentently from using Google DNS or not.
Still not quite optimal, but I guess I'll take it.

None of the torrets are downloading or uploading from this site with my Nord VPN. What should I do ?

I too am having problems with GT.ru and NordVPN.
I use the P2P selection in NordVPN.
1. I noticed that if I pause the downloaded torrents, disconnect NordVPN, restart torrent, it will start downloaded even if I restart NordVPN. This I would assume isn't secure since you expose yourself while NordVPN is disconnected and you restart the torrent.
2. I don't have problems with the https://www.gay-torrents.net/latest/ site which works without issues. It has to be something on the GT.ru site that is blocking NordVPN?Hopefully someone can figure out the answer.

Nothing has changed on our site, other than us adding some services to help prevent the DDOS attacks.
The site owner is trying to figure out the cause of the problems.
The more info provided by members, the sooner he can find the cause.

Correction. Nordlynx worked a few times, then quit working. Client says "not working" again.

Happening here too. I use a NordVPN with a dedicated IP which usually prevents issues like this, but guess not here.

I also have the same problem : "Could not connect to tracker". As I use NordVPN in a Transmission docker container, I can't check if I can access the site with this connection. I've tried Cloudflare's "1.1.1.1" and Google DSN with no success.
