Why do women wear makeup?
-
The origin of wearing makeup was Egyptian prostitutes.. to entice men.
How many MEN do you know that wear makeup? Just about NONE..
How many WOMEN do you know that wear makeup? Just about ALL!
When people intentionally use themselves as bait.. being seductive and attractive.. how can those same people complain that they are treated like "sex objects"?Here's another example.. women wear bras designed to make their tits look bigger than they are.. and better looking than they are. Why are they wearing bras at all?
If men went around stuffing bananas in their underpants, they would be treated like monsters and probably get arrested!https://vimeo.com/113673750 (skip ahead to the middle of the video)

Lip stick is used to mimic aroused pussy lips.
Desmond Morris did a TV show called The Naked Ape and explained all this stuff.
EDIT: His book was The Naked Ape and his TV series was The Human Animal.

Nope.
Egyptian men and women no matter their occupation from the Pharoah to the slaves in the fields wore eye make-up. They wore it to prevent flies from laying eggs in their eyes - a serious health problem along the Nile.
Before the 19th Century, upper class European men wore as much make-up as European women. (Just as high heels started off as men's wear since it was originally designed for men who rode horses, the boot fits in the stirrup better.)

My post was not about debating the history of cosmetics.. it was about why current day women are painting themselves up like clowns.

True. Your post was about the current use of make-up. It's still important to get your facts right.

Tell that to the moonbats at CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, and ABC

And if they happen to show up in my feed I will. I certainly don't read them.

I hope you have the all-plastic-serguries-silicone-doll stereotype in your head to justify that rhetoric.
Even so, its a stereotype.
Unless you want to imply that all women that use make-up are asking to be harassed… -

Unless you want to imply that all women that use make-up are asking to be harassed…No… I'm quite sure that women don't consciously want to be harassed when they put on makeup.
HOWEVER... they also don't consider the implications of putting on the makeup. Here is an analogy... and this site is all about anal.. so here goes!
If you put a cake out to cool.. you certainly don't want ants or roaches running all over it... BUT, if one activates a few brain cells, they must realize that this could be a problem.
Likewise, when women slather cosmetics on their face to hide blemishes and cold sores.. hide wrinkles, eliminate bags under their eyes, enhance their eyelashes and eyebrows, make it appear that their cheekbones are higher.. make their lips a crimson red and moist like an engorged wet vagina waiting for a cock... dangle sparkly earrings from their ears.. color their hair to make them look younger with more vitality, and squirt various perfumes on themselves to cover up the smell of their vaginal queefs... then step into high heels to make themselves look taller.. put on a bra that makes their tits shapely, bigger and sticking out.. paint their fingernails like a flower in bloom.. put on a girdle to hide their gut.. have their teeth whitened, etc. WTF do they expect? Can you imagine how a woman would feel if they went to all that trouble and did NOT get any attention from males? They would be very disappointed! "I bought these special panties that lift my buns.. and nobody even looked at my ass! Waaahhh!"By the way.. a lot of relationships fail when the guy realizes what the woman really looks like without all that makeup... like a cake without it's frosting... like a present without it's wrapping paper and bow. My adopted sister always wears a ton of makeup. One time I saw her without any makeup on and I didn't even recognize her! I thought some old woman was in the house for some unknown reason.

I dont agree with the analogy. And I dont agree with the concept.
It doesnt have to be a conscious thing you're implying for me to strongly disagree.
Be more specific about which kind of behavior you believe women are asking for it when they dress up etc.
Is it just the staring? Is it the free drink at the bar? Is it the whistling? Is it the insistent flirting? Is it the groping in mass transit? Is it the harassment in the workplace? Is it rape? -
Apparently, men wearing kilts are asking for it in women's eyes.
-
Or the Olympic athlete from Tonga who showed up in traditional warrior dress where women felt it was an invitation to fondle his chest.
Given how many legal systems in Muslim countries believe that it is justified to rape a woman who appears in public without being accompanied by a male I'm going to take the side that the responsibility to not rape is stronger than the demand that all women wear burkas lest a man be tempted.
-
If men can be groped by women and we are just supposed to accept it, then shouldn't it be the same for the other side?
I mean, feminists claim to be for gender equality, while claiming that men doing it is oppression but women doing it is liberating and empowering.

No one said women cant be groped. Anyone can be groped. You just have to have an intimate relationship with them.
If a woman gropes you without being intimate with her in any way, then yeah thats sexual harassment as well. Unless you like it. -

Your comment is excellent, but wrong. I didn't think of this before, and I'm sure that VERY few people have considered this. The way society is behaving lately, anybody who touches a woman without being married to them is subject to blackmail and having their lives ruined. My advice is for all men to STOP having sex with women! -

I don't know about you, but I actually know a few guys who use "makeup". Does sunscreen, premium quality moisturiser, lip balm, or foundation count? If the answer is "yes", then, yeah, men do use makeup too.

Of the things you listed, I only consider foundation as makeup.
Most men don't wear makeup, while most women do. When men do wear makeup, they don't try to mimic their sexual arousal on their lips.

Former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper employed his own personal makeup artist!

Most people aren't regularly on TV.
I doubt he puts on makeup to get some milk from the corner store.
