This is the DEBATE group.. not the FAKE NEWS group
-
I realize the moonbats are desperate and must resort to "fake news" to make their "fake points".
However, posting false statements, distortions of the truth, omitting crucial facts, etc. is unacceptable in a debate group.Perhaps there needs to be a "Moonbat Mania" group in which people can post whatever nonsense they want without reproach. In that group, Hillary is president, Kathy Griffin is Secretary of State, and CNN is the #1 news netword (instead of in 3rd place).
In the "Moonbat Mania" group, we can also have a utopian fantasyland which is like a fairytale written by leftist nuts.

However, posting false statements, distortions of the truth, omitting crucial facts, etc. is unacceptable in a debate group.Starting a new thread carries a certain responsibility to be clear about the issues being raised. Certainly, you don't want to appear like an aimlessly fluttering moonbat, or someone who writes any slop just to get thread-creation points on the cheap.
So, per your opening premise…
What are the "fake news" and "fake points" that caused you to rise up and favor us with this thread?
Where are are the "false statements, distortions of the truth, omitting crucial facts" of which you write?
Did you have ANYTHING specific and useful in mind when you extruded this no-content thread?
Do tell.

I can simplify it for you.
If a poster has a long green line under their name, that means they have a high reputation, and their posts are informative, accurate, poignant, interesting, and sometimes entertaining.
If a poster has a long red line under their name, that means they have have a very low reputation, and their posts are loaded with fake news, misinformation, lies, omissions, are incoherent, nauseating, and are rarely worth the time it takes to read them. -

If a poster has a long red line under their name, that means they have have a very low reputation, and their posts are loaded with fake news, misinformation, lies, omissions, are incoherent, nauseating, and are rarely worth the time it takes to read them. What you're omitting is that YOU assigned the vast majority of my "reputation" line. Drawing attention to my "long red one" ( blush) is nothing more than a testament to your pettiness.
Let people click on your Thumbs Down icon if they want to see a much-broader sampling from GT members, and how they feel about the quality and accuracy of YOUR editorial droppings.
I do believe you've finally achieved #1 status – can you point to any active member who has a greater number of the these drooping hand digits? No? Then congratulations -- you are #1 Thumbs Down...!
And you STILL have not explained -- via the customary facts and citations -- your rant that constitutes this thread. It's one more in an unending stream of deluxe nothing burgers, from a man-child who pollutes the board each day with weak headlines, thereby obscuring better political discourse from others.
-
I've gotten into the habit of having my morning joe while scrolling here. I have a bit more downtime than usual at work, so I've been coming back in the afternoon. I wake up to two of these kinds of threads? They're pointless, Fred. I have no idea what you're ranting about. I'm guessing it's about RC posting about the gubernatorial win?
I don't want to get embroiled in that but something Scott Addams said fits: Americans are staring at the same movie screen and seeing two different movies.
That's the truth.
As for the red bar, green bar thing… I actually look at the thumbs bellow a post. Personally, I make an effort not to use the thumbs down. Look closely and you'll see the number of people who even bother is, at most, three or four. If you look at the page views of a topic, these posts aren't being read widely. It's a small circle, a self-approving circle that I wish would grow but if people just throw names at one another, why would they?
Real reputation is the number of friends you make off-site. In my short time here I've had lots of PM conversations with various people and from them, my FB has increased by seven friends.

Like I said.. this is not the fake news group. Anybody with a functioning brain knows who the credible people are. As for the "thumbs down" a single idiot can (and do) spend hours going through every post without ever reading them and clilcking on thumbs down. There is NO time delay between thumbs down.. and you you vote Thumbs down on the same person over and over again without ever picking on anybody else. Thumbs down means pretty much nothing. The person who is the #1 recipient of Thumbs Down is also the person with the highest reputation of all members of the entire site by far. Isn't that fascinating? It is impossible to hit someone's reputation over and over again. After one hit to someone's reputation, you can't hit them again for several hours.
People who are not assholes may notice who initiates most of the threads. That would be me. I start a thread with a valid point, and instead of getting meaningful responses, I typically get my post shit on by idiots making ad hominem attacks (Ad hominem seems to be a popular word these days). I am them forced to squash the moonbats making these inane, insane attacks filled with lies.. and at the same time put up with an onslaught of childish "reports".
I actually do have a complaint that has not been addressed yet.
If someone posts an outright lie, such as intentionally misquoting someone.. that is a problem.
When I point out the lie, and instead of correcting the lie, the person who lied still denies that they lied.. that is a big problem.
When that same liar goes on to call ME a liar, that is an intolerable problem.
When that same person posts 3 different versions of the same attack - none of which are true, and still refuses to admit that they lied, and continues to call me a liar.. that is how flame wars begin. In the past, in other internet chat forums such as on the UseNet.. I've gotten into nasty battles with people which got to the point where people were threatening to kill me, a few were stalking my house, one made the mistake of ambushing me at a restaurant, etc. What really ANGERS people is when they are wrong and I point out their errors over and over again. When they can't win a debate, they resort to threats, lies, etc. -

If a thread doesn't interest you, just ignore it.. don't add fuel to the fire. I really don't like distractions to the points I try to make.
Contratulations on getting 7 facebook friends. In my main facebook profile (which is currently suspended) I once had as many as 600 friends. In my other Facebook profiles, I'd estimate I had about 200 more. One of my Youtube videos which I made myself got 250,000 views in a month, and about 400,000 views before that account got shut down. Youtube started being nazi censors long before Facebook started. The only reason I opened a Facebook account was because of the shit that Youtube was doing.
I made up an expression about "friends" who are idiots.. it is.. "with friends like those, who needs enemas?"

I must be a loser. I only have 82 fb friends. Of course I know all of them either personally or have extremely close ties to them online. None of that bullshit of "the person with the most fb friends wins" for me, thanks.
++++
Fred makes and excellent point about how shitty the thumbs system is. A person can spam the thumbs down button, targeting a single person, then cry that they are being bullied.

82 close FB friends is quite a lot.
Another thing about the THUMBS system is that it doesn't identify who is clicking on UP or DOWN, it only shows who is applying a vote. There are exceptions to that in which I can tell who is voting down, but I'm not giving that secret up in open chat.
-
If you look at my down votes, you will see the same 6 people (only shows the top 6) for Fred. Someone, I won't mention Flozen's name (oops, that just slipped out), in this thread is in my top 6 down voters.
Of course, virtually all the down voters are SJWs of one stripe or another. As admin, I'm sure a small amount are people who didn't like my answer to a question or comment they had about the site.
Even RoyalCrown89 got down vote bombed by his fellow SJWs when he said he supported free speech as defined by the USSC ( I agree with him on that).
Same thing when I finally got 6 or so leftist to condemn the violence. SJWs down vote bombed their asses for it.

Oh, then let me share the "secret" so you don't burst an artery.
At the bottom of the Forum page:
…you will find the Gaytorrent.ru Forum - Info Center
For lovers of endless minutiae, it has several areas, including:
Users Online
…which provides data, such as:
35 Guests, 7 Users (1 Hidden)
Users active in past 15 minutes:
flozen, burple, Payer, drox, kawong, waspaint(names mildly altered, except mine, even though it's public record)
The number of Users Active is generally under a dozen, and rarely are there more than 1 or 2 who specialize in the Politics and Debate Forum.
And thus, you can guess with some certainty which member gave you a thumb or other emoji, but there are some further contingencies.
First, obviously, you need to be online during the 15-minute period in question. Second, to know the "type" of mark received, you must have to know the exact number of each thumb/emoji you possess at any given time, thereby revealing the "plus one" just received.
Sad? Obsessive? Did I mention, sad? I'll let you be the judge of that. :blownose:

I'm glad you noticed. I assign Thumbs Down for a variety of reasons, but chief among them are:
-
Potty mouth
-
Absence or weakness of citations
-
Intentional leading of threads off-topic as a diversion when "losing"
-
Inability or unwillingness to evaluate new facts presented by others
Well, the list could go on and on.

Pardon me for using a bad word on a gay porn site.
Anybody with a brain realizes that I provide source citations as much or more than anybody else does.
I also post relevant content.. which you almost NEVER do. All you tend to do is bitch about the posts without including any relevant content. One does not become #1 or #2 without being full on knowledge, wisdom, and mental acuity. I guarantee you that neither #1 nor I are fooled by what frivolous schemes are being cooked up in private messages.. none of which are as significant as a flea on an elephant's nut sack.
Everyone makes mistakes, but the "WINNER" is the person that doesn't repeat their mistakes.
I made a mistake just a couple of hours ago. I went to see "Thor Ragnarok" in a new theater. (The movie is loaded with super effects, but the storyline is complete garbage). This theater's tickets are normally $9 for adults (except for special events). That isn't too bad. The tickets on Tuesday are always $5. For a few weeks they are having an online promotion for $3 tickets if you buy your tickets online. For 3 days, if you bring in 4 cans of food to donate, they give you a FREE ticket. Wonderful.. right? They also have buttons on swinging trays in the theater itself. You push a button, and someone comes to take a food order. I didn't know what their food was like, so I decided to play it safe and just get a popcorn and a pepsi instead of a meal. The popcorn was a bowl (not a bucket) which was about as much popcorn as you would get with a microwave bag. I'm not kidding.. about 1/3 of the corn was UNPOPPED! I don't know how that is possible. My knowledge of theater popcorn in the past is that the corn was popped so that only the popped corn would overflow into the "chamber" and then they would fill large "garbage" bags with just the popped corn, and keep it heated until needed.. and there should be NO kernels. This small bowl was LOADED with unpopped kernels. Then there is the soda.. this theater also offers liquor, and coca-cola is a common mixer.. so anyplace serving mixed drinks should have coca-cola. Not this place… they have PEPSI. I like pepsi.. maybe even more than coke.. so that didn't bother me.. I just found it odd. But then.. the shock.
Just what do you suppose they charged for a small serving of lousy popcorn.. and a plastic cup of pepsi?
$5 for the popcorn, $4 for the pepsi! At the local WalMart, I can buy 8 liters (2 gallons or 256 ounces) of Pepsi for $4! Also, a 50 cent packet of microwave popcorn is about what they were selling for $5. A markup of 10X (1000%) is a bit excessive!
The thing to do is never eat there.. just bring candy and canned soda in. Guzzle down the soda in the bathroom so the theater nazis don't go shining a flashlight in your face. Even more absurd.. the bitch stuffs the credit card receipt in a booklet with a pen to me halfway through the movie. The theater is so dark that the receipt is impossible to read. There was a space on the receipt to add a TIP!
I didn't tip Lacy Green when she raped me, and I wasn't about to tip this movie theater bitch either!I think I will open up a movie theater that plays only gay porn from Staxus, Helix, and Bel Ami. The popcorn will be $2 and come in buckets with a hole in the bottom. There will also be foot long hotdogs. Guys between 18 and 25 will get in free.

LOL.
Why did you leave out "not worshiping feminism and all it's religious dogma"?
Anyway, it says volumes that you are up there with Suitieday, Wafflez, DrWas and the other rancid SJWs who would follow me around and proudly down vote me for filling porn requests or helping people in the support section.

-
I wonder if the SJW loonies ever down voted each others for lies, such as the one Suitieday posted claiming that Anthony Weiner was innocent 2 days after he plead guilty to ALL charges.
Even with their supposed high moral standards, I seriously doubt if they had any problem with it. Contrast this with flooding the report system if a conservative posted an article that could be in disute because all the facts aren't out yet.

I used to fill a lot of porn requests too! I guess no good deed goes unpunished.
