Decent Gay MMO or MMORPG Games?
-
Hey Guys,
I'm running a Macbook Pro. Looking at getting into a MMO (Massive Multilpayer Online) game and seeking suggestions. Not really into World Of Warcraft. Would like a good free one, and one that supports gay characters?
Any suggestions would be great! Thanks
Thanks!

Sorry for reviving, but I'm interested in finding one myself.
A few good MMO's that I've run into are Aion and Final Fantasy XI.
A really awesome up and coming title is Tera-Online. I've been watching this game for a year now and it comes out early next year!
But as for gay-friendly ones go, I haven't really run into any. Sorry. =/

Haha Yes, FF chars are all gay
-
LOL! True that.
But I'd like to find an MMO that incorporates a marriage system that allows same sex characters to utilize.
It's sorta unfair since usually in games that do have this system, characters get to use a handful of perks that come with it.
-
same sex relationship is able in Rift , i was playing it and get maried in the game with my friend and we both play male characters
-
In addition to "Rift", there are at least two other MMOs that allow gay marriage: "Ragnarok" and "Runes of Magic".
-
Star Wars The Old Republic aka SWTOR is supposed to have gay romance in it's expansion that's coming out 14 April 2013.
I don't know if it will still be in the game as there was a huge teenage boy homophobic backlash against it and BioWare hasn't mentioned it for a few months.

I don't know how things are in "Entropia Universe", as it's a swedish game - and knowing how things work here - I wouldn't be surprised if it's allowed there:
http://www.entropiauniverse.com/I haven't really followed it in years but it was a free game unless you want to spend money in it.

Aion & Tera-Online are my favorites
-
Entropia is horrible.
I played on and off for 7 years and finally left about 2 years ago because no one was around and it cost to much to play.
-
Tera online. The most fanservice game i have ever seen. The races are so….hnggh
From bara lover (baraka or male amani)
Bishie vampire (male castanic)
Loli (elin)
And chubby furry (popori) - i'll definetly make this one. Those pandas are sooooo cuteeeeeeeeeeeee.
Unfortunately there is no chubby humanoid race, but furries are fine too -
Korean gaming companies usually design gay-ish characters for non-tank or non-barbarian type of warriors.
Lineage II in older chronicles introduced marriage between characters, with cool little features, such as allowance to teleport to your partner's location. In later chronicles, from what I heard, you are allowed to marry same gender as well, but I have never been married in there, I am not sure if it's true; according to multiple forums, it is. But Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is supposed to allow actual sex between same-gender characters. -
Well, not the usual MMO…one gay couple storywise, a big LGBTQ base...and my personal favorite "The Secret World"
-
not free but does have gay themes but no marriage system
Guild Wars 2
More than a couple prominent "gay" characters, some blatant, some implied.
-
While I haven't come across much in the way of LGBTQ elements in the game itself, The Elder Scrolls Online has a healthy player base with some very active guilds.

yeah WoW is awful but that's beside the point here…
So Anarchy Online, while not technically having a marriage system, does host weddings in game, and I've seen many a gay marriage on it.
Alternatively, I just got into a beta-free2play MMO called Lucent Heart online, it seems to a be a revival or reboot of a game that was lost in development.
The game almost REVOLVES around social interaction. There is a cupid system, where you are matched with a romantic prospect, and you get to choose some criteria for that match, the last of which being "straight" or "same gender".
I've finally matched with another male character on the game, and look forward to the perks the game provides for those into the cupid/matchmakin system.Well, not the usual MMO…one gay couple storywise, a big LGBTQ base...and my personal favorite "The Secret World"
The Secret World is a blast! but admittedly, they could have made the ONE gay couple in the game less creepy >.>

Final Fantasy XIV is pretty gay-friendly.

You can get married to another same sex player in Elder Scrolls Online if you purchase The Pledge of Mara. But I haven't learnt to know any one in the game that well yet.
