Saying Thankyou
-
Can someone explain to me why so many guys leech files with obvious interest and enthusiasm but can't take just a few seconds to say 'thankyou'?

my personal guess is because of the gift bonus, though i think a thank you is still appreciated even without gift bonus.

Hey Bro. I checked your uploads and you do have some hot ones you have shared. I'm gonna snag [BDF] - Fountains of Youth #2 when I get home tonight! So I will say :thankyou: :bj2: for sharing. I'll give you a seed gift once I'm done. Please don't let ungrateful leechers discourage you. It's uploaders like you that help keep this tracker fresh and alive.
Kisses

Thanks Brandon!! You have cheered me up and made me feel good! I have lots to upload!
-
some people don't have gratitude. the worse case if they didn't say thanks and then insulted your upload.
-
It's really sad how people don't even bother to say thank you !
At least, the number of leechers of my first torrent is getting bigger. Looks like they are liking it.
-
Thanks for the replies guys! Uploaded another today - 30 leechers and not 1 'thankyou' yet, but hey ho
Nice to know others feel the same and love the warmth and support of this place.

lots have said thanks to me and given points so are alot of nice users about,

Having a great time on here uploading lots of my old Man's Best stuff. Mods are experienced and helpful, without them I wouldn't have a clue! Still don't understand how so many users never say 'thanks' - 50 leechers recently and not one word of thanks! Many users are generous and give seedpoints, which is a great boost and encouragement.
-
It's encouraging to uploaders to get a thank you, and if the file was to your liking, seed bonuses and comments are very welcome also. Personally, when I download a file, I like to thank the uploader and give a rating, it only takes seconds. I also try to give a seed bonus. I realise that you sometimes have to juggle your ratio/seed bonus levels carefully, but go I'll back through my downloads and give a bonus retrospectively when I'm able to, even if it's just 1 or 2 points.
-
From one that feels your pain and seriously mean –--> :thankyou:
-
I'm a total hypocrite. Sometimes I batch download, get like lots at a time. And I don't even say anything. And then I upload and keep waiting for responses. I do appreciate comments a LOT more than thank yous, but that's better than nothing. I also love seed bonus gifts, not even to use them but because it's like well… a gift, it's like a badge of honor! xD
I do get slightly annoyed when you upload something rareish from your own subscription or such and get like 10 seedbonus or 2 thank yous, then you look at some common twink porn torrent that you've seen in forums 200 times that someone downloaded off rapidshare, and it has 10 comments, 30 thank yous and 200 seed gift xD But that's what I get for being into a subculture (bears) instead of mainstream
But now you made me feel guilty and I'll go thank all the torrents I've downloaded xD

Even the Supreme Court has its dissenting opinion offered by the lone judge who disagrees with the majority. If you would be so kind as to allow me that function for this post….. ::)
Etiquette is about doing things in a way that is most gracious to your friends and family. It is NOT about having rule-based ammunition to judge others about.
This website functions via a web of numerous, interconnected computers run by individuals who, the majority of which, are complete strangers to each other. These individuals all work in tandem towards the unitary goal of fullfilling site-specific membership requirements. These requirements allow for the administrator-given privilege of accumulation and dispersal of digital media.
The people here are akin to co-workers at any job, all of us performing duties and carrying out tasks that conform to rules set out by this system's administrator, who functions as the company's "boss". Saying thank you would be like saying thank you to my office coworkers for them coming to work everyday and doing their job. Their continued performance of these duties is all that need be required in lieu of thanks. Unless there was some specific and uncustomary reason why a thank you would be used, its normal and repeated usage should not be required nor its absence lamented.
I will though, on the otherhand, offer a heartfelt thank you for reading this post. Cheers!

… These individuals all work in tandem towards the unitary goal of fullfilling site-specific membership requirements. ...
The goal of working together should not be to fulfil the site-specific membership requirements, but to share what each one got. With sharing, I mean both down- and uploading, it goes in pair.

There is a big difference here: Workers get paid by the company or "boss" and even though they are paid, a good boss is thanking them for a good work with words and/or a bonus. Currently it's the season for it in Europe.
The original uploader here merit a "Thank you" and every seed bonus point gift. Without them what would we share at this place? Nothing.
My apologizes to be too lazy to say thank you all the times … be assured I spend all my seed bonus points for gifting them, including those received as gift.

I don't mean to offend but you are way off base here. No members are "required" to upload new torrents. Uploaders post new a fresh content because they want to. Without which this tracker would die.
Saying thank you to an uploader is not akin to "continued performance of these duties", its akin to saying to an uploader "I am to lazy or ignorant of the upload procedures to even try but you did and because of that I got some great content".
The easiest solution for thinking like that is if you don't want to say thanks to an uploader then don't download anything…it's that simple.
To all the uploaders who read this response I want to say this:
Your hard work and extra time you put into getting new content to this tracker is very appreciated. I see you as parents of sorts. You create and nurture your torrents until they can stand on their own and then you create another. Much like a parent raising a child. For that I say Thank you!!!Brandon

I hadn't considered that. Youre right, without fresh content, people would still be meeting requirements yet the whole thing would collapse. Therefore, new material is vital to keep the system operating. Good point!

I think some of us can relate to that ;D (who said bears aren't mainstream!)
Another factor that I take into account is, those that upload may put their own downloads on hold in order for their file to be acquired as quickly as possible. Therefore, a thanks and possibly a little seed bonus is a nice gesture in return

I'm a member of several torrent sites- both porn and non alike- and I always say Thank You when I download, mainly because I'm fairly computer illiterate and I am not (currently) able to upload anything myself, so I want to give proper love and gratitude to those who have shared their files. However, over 20 years in Customer Service has proven to me that most people are quicker to criticize and complain than to say thanks.
By the way, go bears, lol! I'd rather see two grown men at it than skinny under-fed 20-somethings. But, to each his own.
