No, I am not that naive. But on a closed forum like this, I tend to assume a certain degree of honesty. And with this post, I just didn't see any reason why the person would lie. They started the thread. Nothing to gain.

There is no "reason" to explain or discuss most everything on this forum. the great thing about us humans is we go beyond and are curious about the world. Maybe "reason" and "explain" are the wrong terms; too clinical, too much like a trial. I am just interested in what it is about gay porn that turns a lesbian on. Just saying "everything" and she's a "freak" like us all limits understanding, keeping us all on our separate little islands. Discussion builds bridges. ;D

Ok, well I just stumbled on this thread, and even though I've never posted on this forum before I think I'll jump in as this convo interests me. Mostly because I too am a girl who likes gay porn. Unlike tamaochan, I'm straight though (Yes I like cock ;D). I think I see both sides of this. It seems like geekguy was genuinely just curious about why a lesbian likes gay porn. It's sort of a small puzzle to me as well, though by no means unfathomable, especially if you subscribe to the Kinsey view of sexuality as I do. But I can see a little bit why she got defensive since someone suggested she might have been lying about her stated preferences. Why would she lie about it here? What would it gain her? Also and tamaochan can correct me if I'm wrong, but she might have gotten a bit defensive because in my experience at least, and through talking with other girls who like gay porn, some (not that many, but enough to be wary of) gay guys get kind of hostile when a girl says they like gay (male) porn, not really sure why. Not on this forum, because like I've said I've never posted here before, but that's why. I've always been afraid I might get sort of some flak for being a straight female on a gay male forum. So mostly I've just stuck to the torrents. So thanks, tamaochan for giving me the courage to post for the first time.

And I will have to admit to assuming too much when I look at forum posts. It honestly never occurred to me that anyone other than gay men would be using the site or the forum. Knowing that there are lesbians, straight gals, maybe even straight guys? on the forum makes it all more interesting, if a bit scarier. The assumption of gayness was what allowed me to open up in the forum, to "others like me." Probably why I came off a little mean in my first post to tamaochan, perceiving an invasion. I'll get over it, and the discussions will be better because of it.
I wonder how many others in the forum also make the "everyone here is gay" assumption? I wonder if it matters?

As for assuming, well, being that we live in a largely heteronormative world, I can't blame you in the least for assuming that the only people here were gay men. And honestly, that too has been part of what has kept me from posting in the forums. The absolute last thing I'd ever want to do is encroach on someone's "safe space" you know? If it makes you feel better, here are a couple of things that I think you can still safely assume: one, that the vast majority of the people here are in fact gay men and two, anyone on this forum who isn't a gay man is bound to be pretty gay friendly, otherwise why would they be here? I sincerely hope that I haven't changed the nature of the forums for anyone by admitting that I'm a straight girl, I would feel so bad about that.
