Reverse Search

Hi !
Say that I have a downloaded file here and I want to Search where it came from.
IOW, I have the downloaded file here and I want to find it's page @ GT.
Because sometimes I need to "Request re-seed" and I don't remember the original search.
Thanks !

@amigaopira I think it would be a great idea to be able to search on file SIZE!
Since every scene is millions of bytes long, and often billions of bytes long, if you search for a specific file length, you are almost certain to find the exact file you are looking for. In very rare circumstances you might find two files with the same size.
The one exception to that I can think of is VOB files which tend to be 1,073,565,696 in length because they are equally sized parts of a series.
Even searching for VOB files would be good, because they are ALWAYS far larger than they should be.. often by a factor of 10. Those files should be downloaded and encoded to MP4 format.

Assuming you are already leeching (if not try to leech)
On your GT page, on the top where it shows statistics, click on "leeching torrents" indicated by downward arrow followed by torrent count.
Scroll down to Torrents section and click on "Show leeching torrents" and it should be listed there.

Thank you for your help. However it doesn't solve my problem...
For instance I have here this : "FX014 Doggy Style.avi" which does not conclude at all.
Where did it came from ? I'd like to find it's corresponding page to "Request Re-Seed"... -
@amigaopira said in Reverse Search:
FX014 Doggy Style
File name can be search via : Torrent Name/Torrent Description/Torrent Filename
https://www.gaytor.rent/browse.php?search=FX014+Doggy+Style&incldead=1&inname=1&indesc=1&infn=1&orderby=added&sort=desc -
If it is an .avi extension it might have been deleted or doesn't exist ...

Forgive me, but one aspect of this is bugging me. If you already have the file, why do you want to request a reseed? I'm sure there's going to be a sensible explanation, but it eludes me.

@frostycab This happened to me. Might not answer your question exactly.
-
Torrent A exists - 7 gig, btw - popular in its day.
-
Someone makes Torrent B - exact same 7 gig files as A, except, added 1-2 new files, a few meg.
-
B drives out A, somehow. I'm not sure. (Maybe they posted both & got A cancelled somehow? I don't know.)
-
B dies out. No seeders.
-
I still have A, 7 gig files. I find out about B. I can switch to B & reseed it for others. BUT - first I have to get B - not its main 7 gig, which I have - but only its dumb extra 1-2 files.
In other words, I have 99.9% of B & would love to reseed & spread it, but I can't until someone else reseeds.

I dont have the file yet. It just started the download but it never ends.
