is trump gonna win?
-
Brazilian speaking. the media here in general has been saying that trump has a good chance of winning. Do any American citizens here agree? What are the risks of this for the LGBT population?
-
- Trump's chances depend how much election fraud there will be again.
In 2020, USA had lots of fraud. Lots & lots.
If you could wave a magic wand & only count "lawful votes from citizens", Trump won 2020. The fraud overcame that / changed result.
In 2024, Trump has even greater support. The question is, how big the 2024 fraud will be? Will it be enough to overcome Trump's even-greater advantage?
Generally speaking though, most sensible people in USA hate Biden. Biden is a criminal & has destructive policies.
- Risks to LBG people from Trump win: None.
Risks to T: It depends what kind of T you mean.
If you mean sensible Trans people, grownups who want to live their lives in safety: Trump is no risk to them.
If you mean Queer-Trans or Trans-extremist, the kind of people who sexually mutilate kids, shoot kids dead in mass shootings (search "Audrey Hale"), want Men to steal Women's awards, etc: They would find their wishes denied.
Risk to Pedophiles from a Trump win, will be very great - as they should be.
Trump prosecutes Pedos - as well they should be prosecuted.
-
I agree with @blablarg18
Normal LGBT have nothing to worry about. Trump has no problems with us.
It's the Queer/militant community that will have a hard time.
Trump is against medical trans-ing kids but has no issue with social transitions.

@raphjd As to Trump's support - here's a clip from yesterday:
https://twitter.com/i/status/1779299925072781654
I do hope Biden Regime jails him - just to make clear what evil they're about.
Seeing Trump elected from jail where corrupt dictators had put him, would be "once in a lifetime" spectacle.
Meanwhile, Biden is lucky if he can get 30 people to show up.

As much as I greatly despise Trump as a person, I hate to admit that it would actually be a good thing for us here in Canada if Trump were to win the election. Despite being an absolutely vile and disgusting piece of fecal matter, as a president, he brought many good things to Canadians with his politics.
The biggest example that I can think of is the pipelines for Western Canada. If Biden & Trudeau hadn't shut it down, it would have provided a number of high paying jobs for people here who need it, as well as possibly being able to have the flow reversed in order to start to get Canadian oil out into the market, so it would have been an even bigger advantage for Canadians.
Sadly, Trudeau and Biden shut the whole project down, which not only cost a rather large number of jobs for both Canadians and even Americans, but it also caused great harm to a rather profitable industry, which we would have benefited from. The problem for Trudeau & Biden is that a lot of their family owned assets are in Saudi oil, so by allowing Canadian oil to circulate into the market, it would greatly affect their precious profits on their own investments by driving prices down and eliminating our need for foreign import..
And.... Of course... Who pays the price for a lack of competition and a forced dependence on Saudi oil? We the people...

@MrMazda If "bad people" do good things - how bad can they be, really?
Likewise if "good people" do bad things - how good can they be, really?
Toria Nuland is, I hear, super nice, super good person. Except when she screams at staff to make Russia-Ukraine war go harder & kill more people.
How good a person can she be - really?
Trump is part car salesman, part standup comedian. Of course he blusters & wanders. When Biden does same & much worse, suddenly libs order us to "understand" or "admit Biden must be joking"
Biden's daughter has diary entries about how he creepily invaded her private shower time. While Trump's daughter seems not to. Hmmm.
Stormy Daniels - does any of us know for sure, what happened there? NO.
All we have to go on, is "impressions" from 1. media coverage, 2. convicted perjurer Michael Cohen. In one court document, Stormy herself said she had always lied ie. nothing ever happened.
Lyin' E.Jean Carroll has huge gaps in her story, publicly fantasizes about rape, named her cat Vagina T. Fireball, & apparently-possibly lifted her ,story from a similar Law & Order episode.
Meanwhile, mention Tara Reade (Biden rape victim) or any of Bill Clinton's trail of actual rape victims and libs plug their ears.
Lib narrative of J6 "insurrection", is long since debunked.
Mean Tweets might be a fair complaint about Trump.... except.... if it MUST be a choice between Mean Tweets & WW3 killing millions..... I wish we had Mean Tweets back. So do lots of people.
Covid vaxx are a problem ie. Trump shouldn't ever brag about his key role to create them (Operation Warp Speed)........... but.... at least he never mandated them on people. Libs mandated them.

@blablarg18 If Trump starts prosecuting pedophiles, then Joe Biden is in big trouble!

Pics - Trump crowd, vs. Biden crowd - is why Dems want to jail Trump.

Satire - but "it's funny because it's true" - or nearly; may as well be true

@MrMazda Canada can't seem to come up with a good leader. I despise Trudeau, as do most people - BUT Trudeau is still better than Harper was!
-
Pierre Poilievre is great. I wish he was head of the UK conservatives.
-
@lololulu19 I disagree. Violent crimes wera at an all time low under Harper. They have skyrocketed under Trudope.... And that's just one of many things that was better.
Let's also not forget that repeat violent offenders would be denied bail or have it set higher than they could afford to put up under Harper, so once caught, they were off the streets. Under Trudope, we have a "catch and release" system, which is nothing short of a joke, especially for the victims of these crimes.
Trudope has pretty much destroyed Canada and is on a mission to turn it into the next Venezuela, with a Chinese style dictatorship.
-
@MrMazda hmm.. I was not aware of how bad Trudy is. Sad.
Ideally, there should be good liberal and good conservative candidates... but the opposite is true. They both suck, and it's just a matter of which side sucks more. -
@lololulu19 There are a few other disturbing laws that Trudope has brought to the table. For example, did you know the police do not need a reason to pull you over anymore? They now have the legal authority to pull you over without any reason, just because they can, even if you have done nothing wrong, you have a valid driver's license, valid insurance, and proper plates that are not expired. What's worse is that they can demand a breath sample from you, even without probable cause. If you refuse to provide the breath sample, the penalties are actually worse than if you failed the breath sample test.
But it doesn't stop there. Now, within 2 hours of having been in care or control of a motor vehicle (including riding as a passenger to a sober driver in your own vehicle), the police can come knocking at your door and demand a breath sample. If you fail the test, you can be charged with impaired driving as though you were behind the wheel yourself, even if you say gave the keys to a friend to drive your drunk ass home, and if you refuse, the same rules apply as though you were pulled over and asked for a sample. To make matters even worse, if you get charged as such, it becomes YOUR responsibility to prove you were NOT driving, and not the officer's responsibility to prove you were.
Why is this so disturbing?
Well... I can go to the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario), which is the Ontario government run liquor store, and buy a bottle of rum while 100% sober. I can then drive home with that bottle of rum while 100% sober, park the car, and go inside, THEN start drinking... And if the police show up within 2 hours and you fail that breath sample, you can be charged either with impaired driving or blood alcohol above .08 just as though you had that BAC content while behind the wheel, regardless of the fact that you had a BAC of ZERO while behind the wheel.
What's worse is that in Saskatchewan, they have now taken this law one step further and now require a breath sample for ALL traffic stops, no matter the reason. And again, if you refuse to give this sample, you get arrested on the spot and charged with worse punishments than if you had failed the test.
Quite literally, this law creates a standard where people who were 100% SOBER behind the wheel can get charged as though they were drunk behind the wheel, or worse, refuse to provide (or be medically incapable of providing) a breath sample. There was recently a woman in Etobicoe (West Toronto) who got pulled over for "returning too many empties to the Beer Store". She did not have the lung capacity in which to provide a breath sample, and was subsequently charged with failing to provide a sample, arrested, and sent to jail, despite being 100% sober and physically incapable of doing a breathalyzer, and having a BAC of ZERO when they did the blood test.
-
@MrMazda said in is trump gonna win?:
For example, did you know the police do not need a reason to pull you over anymore? They now have the legal authority to pull you over without any reason, just because they can, even if you have done nothing wrong, you have a valid driver's license, valid insurance, and proper plates that are not expired.
That's been the law in the US, UK, and others for decades.
1 US state went to needing a valid reason to pull you over. I'm not sure if the 2nd one only talked about changing the law or actually did. I don't remember exactly which 2 states but both were West Coast states.
-
@MrMazda All that is for Greater Good & will work itself out in court appeals. /sad-kidding
You're right, it's terrible. Sometimes I try to picture what lame thing a defender of it, might say.
Merely to be put through legal process like that, is undeserved punishment. Even if you are "exonerated" you don't get back the time, money & peace it cost.
-
@blablarg18 Picture going out to a party, giving your sober friend the keys to your car to drive you home, getting pulled over and being slammed with the impaired driving fine because you were said to be in care of a vehicle by riding shotgun in your own car to a sober driver.
