Seattle planned to transfer police precinct to Black Lives Matter during the deadly autonomous zone

@raphjd It took the press almost 2 years to uncover the truth.
It is the duty of the press in a free society to keep an eye on the government for the people.
Instead, the press is the propaganda arm of the Liberals.
Is it any wonder that FOX has the highest ratings in all of Cable. It is even beating network news shows. People want to be told the truth.

Sigh... @geobear40 you astound me with your inability to see your own irony! Where's POGO when you need him?
As a result of a liberal newspaper, in a liberal city, investigating a liberal city government, it is revealed that they were floating some really wacky ideas in the "heat" of the George Floyd protests 18 months ago.
Ceding the police department building to the local BLM organization was just one of the many ideas being floated - also, was an idea of running the Police Dept out of a bunch of portable offices! (NOTE: if you read the actual Seattle Times article instead of the right-wing internet troll site's "summary", you learn a LOT MORE).
Man, they were clearly in a panic, and evidence shows that City leadership was splintered and ineffective (gosh darn, that's unexpected! I thought Liberal / Progressive Dems had ALL the answers! Where were the rainbow-farting unicorns? They'd have calmed everyone down!)
But no, @geobear40 - your take is that, because it took a year and a half to get the story, the Press wasn't doing it's job. Because, in your rose-colored world, when the press asks questions, the politicians answer - honestly & quickly! You live in a fantasy world (something you demonstrate frequently). Sorry dude, but investigative journalism takes time! - And politicians don't generally cooperate, either!
THIS WAS THE PRESS DOING THEIR JOB!
BTW: The damning part about this story wasn't so much the revelations about considering ceding a $5million property to BLM, but how long it took to abandon the idea, and how many "support people" were pushing the ideas (including other wacky ideas too!)
Just a suggestion for interested readers: when there's a story about Seattle in the "political press", read the local Seattle press to get the more accurate story.
So, the next time you read a Newsmax story about a New Orleans thingy - stop and read the New Orleans Times-Picayune version of the story! Maybe the local paper is more liberal or more conservative than your own tastes, but the local paper will have a LOT more room for a LOT MORE detail than your "political press" - and those details are what make the REAL story!
Back to the main topic - DAMN! Seattle was a real shit-show back then! (Virtually ALL of the city leadership - even Police leadership - are different now. Less incompetent? No way to know until another crisis comes!)
Nice work by the paper to uncover just how discombobulated City leaders were during that month!

Do you mean like how it was only after the election that liberal media started admitting that Hunter's laptop was real?
Do you mean like who all those liberal darlings were spewing lies on TV, but in Shifty Schiff's secret hearings in the bunker, where your beloved liberal media only talked about the lies spewed on TV and totally ignored the sworn testimony?

You are forgetful, as we just talked about this in another thread.
Russian Collusion
What about...
It's a rhetorical question - you're not addressing the points made, you're diverting to different things...
What about Nixon's trip to China?

Ah, you are defending and praising liberal media, but I can't prove they are shit.
Typical liberal.

I said ONE liberal newspaper did it's job - how typical of you to extrapolate that to ALL liberal media!
Sad... just sad... that you are so mentally and emotionally committed to the idea (belief) that all things liberal are de-facto, and irrefutably evil & irredeemable ... that when a liberal newspaper investigates a liberal city government and reports on their incompetence and leadership failures, you are incapable of supporting a statement as simple as "they did their job"...
-
You can say the exact same thing (they did their job) several months after Hunter's laptop originally came to light, which for some strange reason only happened after the election. The same with all the other stuff they buried until after the election.
Do you honestly believe that the Obama kid's in cages photos only came to light while Trump was in office? Or do you accept the admissions from liberal journalists that they had the photos since 2012 but kept them hidden and released to use against Trump?

No way to know until another crisis comes!
Sure lets just cross our finger and hope for the best

Dicombobulated! is that a nice word for corrupt?
DON'T tell me what I mean. You speak for yourself and I will speak for me. If you listen to others you may learn something new instead of thinking you know everything.

Yes, you shit-for-brains... Seattle is (as are most American cities) a beautiful place. During times of crisis, things can get hairy - as it did for Seattle during the George Floyd protests.
Austin, TX is a beautiful city (and I love their downtown areas, and once even saw the Jim Cullum Jazz Band live!) - but it's a shit-show right now, what with the freezing temps, the rolling blackouts, and now the boil water warnings!
As with Seattle, they'll work through it... We Americans rarely fail COMPLETELY! Rather, we often fall on our faces, get up, brush ourselves off, and get back to work!
THAT'S why I'm proud to be an American - EVEN when the country is being led by Democrats! EVEN if we're doing some DUMB things right now (to be fair, the Dems aren't the ONLY ones being DUMB right now... but they ARE the ones in power, and with power comes responsibility - and that means taking the blame...)
(Virtually ALL of the city leadership - even Police leadership - are different now. Less incompetent?
Where they all fired or voted out?
Many resigned, some retired, and a couple were term-limited out. None were voted out that I could find. As for fired? They're usually allowed to "retire" or "resign to seek better opportunities" - so who's to say which ones were really fired.
That's not the point tho - the leadership was shown to be lacking... at the top, as well as the next layer... so they've done the right thing & brought in new leadership.
No way to know until another crisis comes!
Sure lets just cross our finger and hope for the best
Barring another emergency - which is unlikely to be just like this one - how would you propose to know how they'll do? Your crystal ball isn't even glass! It's a fucking bowling ball and you can see into the future as well as none of us!
Nice work by the paper to uncover just how discombobulated City leaders were during that month!

No, but since you're so inept as to even be unable to look up the definition of a word, try here.
Geez - you'd have thought you'd have learned how to use a search engine by now!
DON'T tell me what I mean. You speak for yourself and I will speak for me. If you listen to others you may learn something new instead of thinking you know everything.
Indeed, Humpty Dumpty - your words mean just what YOU mean them to, the English Language be damned!
For what it's worth, I listen to other people often - and usually learn a great deal from discussions with other intelligent people...
However, I don't generally listen too closely to clowns for advise... they're just there for the entertainment...
In case you were not aware, at least to me, you are a clown: nothing to be taken seriously, just enjoyed for the entertainment value
