Moron. I never said I didn't get the race of the victims wrong. I also misspelled victim (a typo, I swear!) and forgot to close a parenthesis - TWICE! That wasn't the salient point of the discussion (and we also weren't discussing typing skills or grammar (and the appropriate use of parens!)...

What I DON'T want are self-appointed "morals police" determining what should and shouldn't be in a school library! There are professionals! People trained in Library Science (yes, that's real!) - that we actually pay a salary to - whose actual job is to make those determinations.
That aside, even when I was in school (more than a MONTH of Sunday's ago!), the school library wasn't exactly a "bustling place" with kids eagerly doing research, or choosing recreational reading! (Though, my Elementary school library is where I found my first Space Cat books!)
What with Smart Phones, and the Internet, I'm pretty sure the local school librarians are even LESS popular!

Maybe because she was "morally outraged and hysterical"? I don't know - that's conjecture - and far be it from me to claim that School Boards in the US are all populated with sane & rational people! Two examples - both from Texas - come to mind from the past 4 or 5 years or so:
- A Texas School Board narrowly defeated a measure that would have removed ALL MENTIONS of the word Slavery or any mention of slavery from all curricula. (Kinda the opposite of the old Marx bit: "say the magic word and win a prize!" - except it's "don't say the word, and it never happened!")
- Another Texas School Board approved, then rescinded, plans to teach students that Texas was a sovereign nation, occupied by the US illegally.
Being in Texas, these were mightily righteous Republican School Boards... Conservatives even! Dare I say: Trump followers?!?! (Conjecture, I admit, there - but HIGHLY likely!)
