Is FOX even "news" anymore?

More newsmen leave FOX News over the increasingly incendiary "fake news" being spewed by the network. You know it's pretty bad when the boat gets so full of shit that even the rats start jumping ship.
It's strange that ordinary Joes think that Tucker Carlson really understands them and is their advocate...you know, the Ivy League-educated heir to the Swanson fortune Tucker Carlson.

@hubrys Speaking of incendiary "fake news" being spewed by the networks. I would refer you to the four years of Russian "coelution delusion" reported on by everyone but Fox who got it right all along. FOXNEWS has the highest rated News and Opinion shows on cable. It should not matter a person back round. It should only matter that they speak truth.

Do you mean like how we have seen liberal media spew lies about Kyle Rittenhouse? Even after the trial, news outlets were still claiming he killed 3 black men.
Do you mean how liberal media said that Hunter's laptop was Russian disinformation?
Do you mean how liberal media buried stories that made Dems look bad?

A while back some people sued Tucker Carlson and Fox News saying that Carlson's on-air rants were a breach of an implied contract between a journalist and his audience. Fox News responded by saying that Carlson was not a journalist, but rather an entertainer.
If that's the case, Carlson knows how to work his room of uncritical Trumpers: Feed them baseless conspiracy theories reaffirming their unhinged world view that they can absorb within their 30-second attention span.
In the real world, complex problems don't have simplistic solutions, but in the Fox world, facts are inconvenient and ignored.

LOL, you must be talking about liberals, since you clowns spent 4 years yammering on about Russian collusion, that didn't exist.
-
@raphjd LOL. Literally not a single piece of evidence.

Did you read the Mueller report?
The first part of the investigation was not about Donald Trump (although his worldview thinks everything is about him). It was a "Report On The Investigation Into Russian Interference In The 2016 Presidential Election." That interference did take place "in sweeping and systematic fashion," according the report. (The report is available at https://www.justice.gov/archives/sco/file/1373816/download. It's 448 pages long, far exceeding a Trumper's attention span. The introduction and executive summary is only 10 pages, and one hopes that people could read that much.)
While it has been clearly established that the Internet Research Agency of Russia interfered with the 2016 election, it is not surprising that there was no provable conspiracy between Donald Trump and the Russian actors. Putin and his gang are as smart as they are evil: They did not want an erratic and naive person involved in a carefully designed and executed project.
After the Mueller report was released, Trump and his sycophants (none of whom read the report) screamed loudly that they had been "totally exonerated." That is factually false. The investigation was conducted according to a rigorous standard of proof, which found sufficient evidence to establish that there was Russian interference in the election.
While there was also much evidence of interaction between Trump campaign staff and advisers and Russian actors, there wasn't a provable link that Trump himself was involved in the conspiracy. This is hardly "total exoneration."

Hillary had more Russian collusion than Trump did.
It was the FBI that repeatedly lied to the FISA court. One FBI agent even illegally altered an official email to further the anti-Trump agenda.

Hillary Clinton was an awful candidate for President - I voted against her, and would again (gleefully!). That said, she didn't have any ties to Russians - or any other Foreign Governments - in the 2016 election cycle. And neither did her campaign.
Why? Because they were "old school" politicians who knew and understood the rules-of-engagement.
Trump and the Trump campaign did not - so when the Russians came a knockin' they didn't report it to the FBI (the way they were supposed to), they jumped at the chance! It was wrong of them, and it nearly got Trump impeached! (That is not what the first impeachment trial was about - the Dems never did get any evidence that Trump himself colluded - or even met with or talked to - actual Russians himself - so there were never any actual charges raised... and the "Special Prosecutor" admitted that he didn't file any charges against Trump - not because he was guilt-free, but because as the sitting President, he was untouchable.
But why let FACTS get in the way of your argument - you never have before! Hell, you've made them up before! I'm sure you'll make up some more now!
Even Derek Jeter admitted after he cheated and successfully claimed that a foul ball actually hit him on the hands... the real fault was, after all, the umpires, no? (that's an open question for Sports Fans to argue about for decades to come!)... the point is, mistakes happen... the real question (in my mind) isn't so much whether the amateurish Jared Kushner actually MET with the Russians (he did)... the real questions are:
- Did he know it was illegal when he did it?
- When did he learn/discover that it was illegal?
- Did he do it again after this discovery?
- How much and when was Trump himself involved.
Some of that may have been uncovered in the special prosecutor's investigations, but it hasn't been made public.
But this "our hands are clean" act - after SO MANY have been charged and convicted - is not fooling anyone!
