How do you pass time on a long train ride?

I'm talking like 3 - 4 hours.

I just finished a 47 hour train trip in January and the time went faster than i expected. Of course that time included about 9 hours in Chicago, but the station is downtown so i was out and about for a good bit of that. But the time on the train itself, I spent reading my pad, listened to a bit of music, and talking to people in the cafe car. I did have a sleeper roomette so had privacy to sleep, but wasn't in the cabin as much as I expected. I had several movies on the pad to watch in case I got bored, but never got to them.

I just watch some tvshows in my cellphone/notebook that I download the night before traveling

I like to see the scenery sometimes, especially in the mountains. Otherwise, a book and/or try to sleep.
-
There's a lot of options, but read is a good one, otherwise I hear music, I write articles (I'm a writer) and sometimes when I'm all alone on the train I get excited and I jerk off :fap:

I like watching the world go by, but I have been known to actually talk to other passengers, granted you get some odd looks from some, but you can have some great conversations.

Watching the scenery, dozing off, listening to conversations.
