For those who forgot, the Obama administration has done 2 defences of DoMA so far {getting ready to start a 3rd} and they said that gay relationships were not better than incest, pedophilia and bestiality.

That is how they justified DoMA and discriminating against gays.

The new defence of DoMA supposedly won't use that language, but will try to say that the the equal protection clause of the constitution does not apply to gays.

Yeah, this is the guy that says he is the best friend we {GLBTs} ever had in the White House.  With friends like that,…........... well, you know the rest.

Illinois may give a few token rights to gays, but it won't want to upset the people in the south part of the state.

Illinois is a weird state.  The northern half is fairly liberal most of the time, while the southern half is very conservative all the time.  As an example, Illinois never had a state law banning interracial marriage, but the entire southern half had local laws that banned it, while the northern half it was completely legal.

My {smallish} home town in northern Illinois currently has 3 gay bars {1 of which opened in 1981}, but the surrounding 3 towns refuse to grant liquor licenses for gay bars.

Actually, they did that for the 1st 40ish years of the molestation being public.

Of course it is not true and the claim is purely based on personal bias, but it did make it in our Dutch newspapers.

What about the other skaters who weren't invited? There is the possibility that half a dozen, 50 or maybe even hundreds of skaters who skate well were given _un_vitations. This could be outrageous info, but no one really knows.

What people need to know is the reasons why all of them werent invited. Smuckers and the other company must be transparent with their inner workings with regards to choosing who dances in their Stars in Ice dance show/presentation/display. Not everyone can do what these talented individuals can do on frozen water.

The breakfast jam peddlers should use their jelly fortunes towards putting on the dancing ice-people displays that includes all of these talented people, gifted individuals who have worked very hard to retire at thirty-five from sport and competition where they weren't paid anything. Do we treat all of our middle-aged former athletes this way? Prolly not.

Who do the smucker people think they are, trying to do these secret things, giving us only homophobia and fruit preserves? they need to tell us why all these dancers wont get to be proud and open gay ice-people!
