The uploads have to be uploaded, within the prior 12 month's time, to qualify.
Anything earlier will not qualify for the "Bonus Points Reward". Allow up to 7 days (or longer during holidays) to receive the points after you have messaged [edit].
Once the points are awarded you will receive a message. Torrents that have been deleted for copyright or duplicates is not valid ...

@bskdu Hi there, welcome to the site.
My guess here is not that you have a technical issue, but that you may have downloaded only older torrents. It's a common issue here with new users who search for their favourite actors or studios and find a lot of content to download. This site has a huge turnover in content, with hundreds of torrents being uploaded daily. With that amount of new content older torrents, and by older I mean from a few weeks to a few years old, tend to attract very few downloaders. At this moment there's about 268,000 active torrents on the site, but only about 18,000 of these have at least one leecher, which illustrates the problem pretty well.
Check the torrents you have downloaded and see if they have any leechers. My guess is that they probably don't. 😞

The "rules" you posted were not accurate. If you want to use the old layout for yourself, that's your own business. But if you post things for other members to see, please make sure they match what is on the current, live website.

@john32123666 You're right and I'm confident that that's what I've been doing, but for some reason, BitTorrent is not having any of it. So I tried transferring the folder to the default downloads folder instead and it worked. 🤷‍♂️

It is possible that I messed it up somewhere, but I'm just glad it's seeding properly now. Thanks for reaching out!

@eobox91103 I agree with introducing some kind of system that rewards good uploaders, which would allow them to build up a kind of reputation score that will be displayed on their uploads. Perhaps new uploaders should be restricted to uploads below a certain size, or to a certain number per day, until they have built up their reputation to a particular level.

I know in the past that users couldn't access the former DVD category until they reached power user status. This was in order to protect new users from overzealously downloading large files that would damage their ratio to the point where it couldn't be rescued. This was back in the days when DVDs were by far the largest files you could download here. it also meant that new users couldn't upload in that category either, It seems that when this rule was abolished the reason why it was originally put in place was forgotten.

It may also be possible that your ISP is detecting P2P traffic and is throttling it. While the ethical views on this practice are rather mixed (depending on where in the world you are), it is, unfortunately, something that many providers do actually do to their customers when they see traffic that they don't like.

The problem with this comes in whereas you can't differentiate the difference between legit P2P traffic and illegal P2P traffic, so even things as mundane as Ubuntu software will also get throttled, despite it being available legally for free.
