Vista doesn't Support WinHelp [FIX]
With the release of Windows Vista, Microsoft has decided that the good old WinHelp format no longer meets its standards. When your users try to open a .hlp file on Windows Vista, they'll get an error message saying your application is using an outdated format for its help.
Microsoft does make a WinHelp viewer for Vista available for download.

RE: Fred Phelps & copyright laws
I think I found my new bumper sticker
Two days after the September 11th attacks, a lone 19-year old named Jared stood on the street corner facing the church holding up a cardboard sign that said "Not today Fred." In two days, about 90 people joined him, waving American flags and anti-hate signs. Since then, "Not today Fred" has become a commonly used motto for counter protests against Phelps.

RE: Upload Rewards?
This is a quote from a previous post from you Hudson
"please help me out and take the time to download and get it seeded. I want to spread the wealth of these great films."
I think enough has been said.

RE: Upload Rewards?
I understand what you are saying,
BUT the only thing you have uploaded, has 73 of the 223 seeding it now… uploaded less than 2 days ago
Not everyone seeds like they should, or maybe a bunch of those people have already seeded 1 to 1, are you disappointed and frustrated that there are not 223 people seeding it? the required ratio is .350
You do it for the love of it. If you feel that your work in creating a torrent is not met with the utmost you deserve, then you have a choice to make. It isn't up to GU to make you happy it is up to the people that have leeched the file from you...
GU as a whole has a great s/l ratio I think last time I saw it quoted it was 4/1

RE: Upload Rewards?
The advantage of uploading and seeding a torrent is that you don't use up your d/l ratio, it is all going to your u/l ratio.
I am not sure more than that what you are looking for.

RE: Upload Rewards?
Where to start…
Torrents are based on a community effort. When you upload a new torrent you are adding to the pool. When you seed a torrent you are allowing others to drink from the pool, the more seeders the bigger the pool the more can drink.
BUT if you drink and don't seed, you take from the pool; if everyone drank, and didn't seed... the pool would get smaller and smaller, till there was just a picture of you at the bottom, alone with no seeds...

ICE Campaign - 'In Case of Emergency'
We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in the
memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these
numbers belong to our closest family or friends. If we were to be
involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us
would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Hence
this 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) CampaignThe concept of 'ICE' is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact
during emergency situations. All you need to do is store the number
of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during
emergency under the name 'ICE' (In Case Of Emergency). The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he went
to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with
patients, but they didn't know which number to call. He therefore
thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally
recognized name for this purpose. In an emergency situation,
emergency service personnel and hospital staff would be able to
contact the right person quickly by simply dialing the number you
have stored as 'ICE.'For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2 and ICE3, etc.
A great idea that will make a difference! Let's spread the concept of ICE
by storing an ICE number in our mobile phones today! Please forward this. It won't take too many 'forwards' before everybody
will know about this. It really could save your life, or put a loved one's mind at rest.YngMstr

Roseanne, Telling the truth?
Comic Roseanne Barr, no stranger to controversy, created plenty with her comments about gays on a recent edition of her call-in AM radio show, featuring black lesbian blogger Jasmyne Cannick, on suburban southern California station KCAA:
"They don't care about minimum wage. They don't care about any other group other than their own selves – because, you know, some people say being gay and lesbian is a totally narcissistic thing, and sometimes I wonder. I've never heard any of them say anything except for, 'Accept me 'cause I'm gay.'"
Well. Barr apologized promptly and profusely, then issued several statements on her own blog, roseanneworld.com, of what she wished she'd said:
"Gays are under attack in this country because separatism works. Building bridges is the only way to defeat our common enemy," Barr wrote. "I never should have said ALL, or NEVER . . . but like everyone else on Earth, I used generalities and that is ALWAYS WRONG! . . . I should have said, "Many people, gay or straight are narcissistic and this culture thrives on that being the case."
It's worth pointing out that not many suburban AM talk-radio shows even have black lesbian blogger guests. Now Cannick, along with many of you, asks, "Was Rosanne right?"
"One of my big criticisms about the marriage fight in California has been that it's all about marriage," Cannick blogged later. "That's it. It's not about the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people who are living in poverty, homeless, incarcerated, unemployed, on welfare or less better off than their politically active counterparts ...I wish the gay leadership could get that. I wish they could understand that Black same-gender-loving people care about more things than just marriage and that if they showed that they did, too, the doors for real conversations could be opened."

Media blitz puts transwoman off Obama
Four supporters of Sen. Barack Obama got a rare chance to dine with the Democratic presidential candidate Tuesday night, with one change to the guest list.
Florida firefighter Jennifer Lasko, chosen from among thousands of small-dollar donors, declined her invitation after local media reported that she used to be a man named John.
Aides to the U.S. senator from Illinois said they weren't aware of Lasko's gender history before inviting her, but they encouraged her to attend after the news reports surfaced. Lasko decided that she did not want the attention that the dinner would attract.
"We would have loved to have her at the dinner with Sen. Obama and the other guests," said Obama spokeswoman Jen Psaki. "We hope they have the opportunity to meet at another time."
The campaign invited Christina Cheatham, a rising senior at Georgia College and State University, to take Lasko's place. Cheatham entered the dinner contest with a $5 donation and was rewarded with an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, including a sightseeing tour and dinner at a steak restaurant.
She said she wanted to ask Obama about health care first, but also taxes, abortion and other topics that are important to her friends and family.
"I have a really, really long list of stuff," Cheatham said from her cell phone during a visit to the National Archives. "I'm not sure it'll all come up."
Obama arrived for the dinner shortly after 10 p.m. and joined his guests without making a formal statement to reporters. (AP)

Two face porn-boss murder charges
Two face porn-boss murder charges
Two alleged escorts from Virginia are facing murder changes for the brutal killing of gay porn producer Bryan Charles Kocis.
In January, Bryan Charles Kocis, 44, was found dead in his burning home in Dallas Township, Penn. Although his body was badly burned, a coroner ruled that he had been stabbed and his throat slashed. Dental records were used to prove his identity.
Harlow Cuadra, 25, and Joseph Kerekes, 33, will be extradited Thursday from Virginia, where they have been jailed, to Pennsylvania for the court case.
Cuadra and Kerekes are charged with homicide, accomplice to murder, burglary, robbery, arson, theft, tampering with evidence, abuse of corpse and criminal conspiracy to commit such crimes.
They were arrested in May after evidence found on Kocis' computer (which survived the fire) revealed that Cuadra arranged a meeting Kocis the night of the killing.
Described to investigators as "flashy and flamboyant," the suspects were apparently rising stars in the gay porn industry. Police claim that the motive of the killing had to do with Kocis' rival porn company. The pair were keen to hire Kocis' lead actor Sean Lockhart, 19.
Cuadra and Kerekes lived together in a $500,000 home in Virginia Beach and "enjoyed exotic vehicles and extravagant dinners, and traveled the country making contacts for their escort and adult video businesses," prosecutors claim.
"It was obvious these were two individuals who led an extravagant lifestyle and followed through with it in all facets of their life," police Cpl. Leo Hannon said.
Kocis' company, Cobra Video, produces and sells gay porn, specializing in bareback films starring twinks. Titles include "Brent Corrigan's Fuck Me Raw," "A Boy's Raw Urges" and "Bareback Twink Orgy."
In 2001, police raided Kocis' home as part of a child pornography investigation and seized video cameras, photos, magazines, computer discs and more than 600 videos.
At the time of Kocis' death, neighbor Jennifer Hughes commented that he wasn't the most pleasant of neighbors, and that he was notorious for hosting large gay parties.
"I knew what he was involved in, unfortunately, it was not nice at all," Hughes said.
"All the time we saw him he would wear the same aviator glasses, baseball cap and jeans. He wouldn't say hello to anybody. He would just keep to himself.
