I'm one of those ungrateful angry gay misanthropes that still don't trust the state, the police, the people's majority or anyone pretending they have a say in how I live my life. Seriously, I wrote a long post as a reply to this thread and I deleted it all because as much as I would love for this forum to be a place to debate power & sexuality, law, surveillance, enforcement, punishment, entitlement, morality/ethics, the state and all those things that affect us directly in our daily lives today, I have never once in my life felt good after sharing online. Especially since I feel people like Nietzsche and Foucault said much (if not all) there is to say about it a while ago.

But I hear what you guys are saying and I really hope that in my lifetime, I will be able to enjoy the kind of solidarity in radical conversations and dangerous thought-sharing between gay cis-males that existed when it was called "gay rights".

@saint14 Anything by Margerite Duras. Her writing is quite "childlike" but beautiful for begninners, I think. Barrage contre le Pacifique is a great example. There's also Boris Vian, but he invents words that makes no sense, again, like a child would do and everything is very innocent. I would recommend L'arrache-coeur.
