Huh… I think the OP deleted their reddit post asking for it or else my search-foo is failing as I found it once before but it didn't look like they had found it. A couple suggestions were made but none appeared to be right.

RE: Crowdfunding for new HDD (2-3TB)
The best HD's out there right now are the HGST's but they are expensive, I've got Raid6 so I can handle a failure (or two) so I opt for cheaper drives knowing that it's not worth it for me to invest in better right now. Just 2-3 years ago I was buying 3TB drives and now I buy 5TB with 8TB's on the horizon of being the best $/TB. If you want good consumer HD stats look no further than Backblaze's report on the ones they use. In fact they just posted their newest "review" today https://www.backblaze.com/blog/hard-drive-benchmark-stats-2016/

RE: Crowdfunding for new HDD (2-3TB)
What Verbatim are you looking at?
I have 15 of these https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Backup-Desktop-External-STDT5000100/dp/B00J0O5R2I/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_3 (all shucked and used as internal) and they work great. At $25/TB they are good deal, IMHO 5TB is the "sweet spot" for HD's. It's hard to find cheaper than $25/TB (probably possible with sales but I prefer to use the same drive, different lots, in my arrays).

RE: Strange site performance
I haven't experienced the site loading "in chunks" but intermittently everything comes to a screeching halt (Last week or so but I've been on the site more often so it might just be I've only noticed because of that) and pages will take 30-60 sec (or more) to load. I may be missing the loading issue you see because when it happens I normally switch tabs to some other page I'm passively reading then check back in a minute or two.
I doubt there are any logs I could provide that would be of help, having debugger tools open might catch something (or at least I could export the timeline showing the delay and see if it's hanging on a specific asset) however I don't keep it open unless I'm actively developing and I have "Disable Cache" checked and that could throw things off or mask the problem completely depending on what it is. If I see it happen again I'll try to pop the dev tools, uncheck disable cache, and see if I notice anything. Really though exact timestamps of when the issues happened are probably best for the admins as when I get such reports time is important so I can cross-check it with various logs (nginx, mysql, php/app logs, etc).

RE: One secret way to get NEW movies for free to post HERE.
While I don't use it personally I know jDownloader 2 is popular for downloading from sites like this. It will present the captchas within the program and download it for you and make it a little easier to keep track of instead of needing to remember to go back every hour. You will still need to enter the captchas but it might prove useful to you.

RE: How do you manage your porn movies
Good god… I just checked the size of my collection... 9.6TB I wasn't aware it had gotten that big. I organize by studio, 252 studios currently, but I sometimes sub-divide. For example NextDoorBuddies/NextDoorRAW/etc instead of just 1 NextDoorStudios. But it's a little random cause I don't do that for men.com, I just have 1 folder instead of Straight 2 Gay, GOM, etc. I'm not sure how well plex would handle the double nesting as it took me a while to get it to work as well as it does with my collection. My biggest issue is sorting, I currently have 1.7TB of that number above in a "temp" directory which has been downloaded but not renamed and sorted into the correct studio folder yet. I've got a handful of scripts I've written to assist in the renaming and massaging the filenames into the format I like. Normally: Scene Name - Actor 1 & Actor 2 [Subsite] (STUDIOCODE-SCENENUMBER) so for example:
seancody.com/Aaron (SC-1830).mp4
randyblue.com/Ace & Nick (RB-2223).mp4
men.com/100 Dollar Bet - Jimmy Johnson & Riley Banks [Str8 to Gay] (MEN-789).mp4 -
RE: We've been pooping the wrong way for years.
I have the squatty potty (got it as a gift) and thought it was more of a gag gift but everything ahem comes out easier when I use it…

RE: One tip you would give gym newbies
1. Figure out your goals, do you want to lose weight, get strong, have definition, a little of everything? Your workout/diet will depend heavily on your final goal.
2. Learn to eat right, start by using My Plate or My Fitness Pal. You need more protein than you think you do. 0.8g x your body weight so if you weigh 200 you need to consume a minimum of 160g of protein per day. Don't cut out carbs, keep them at about 0.5g x BW at a minimum, I like to fluctuate based on the days I work out (more on workout days, less on off days). Fat is not the enemy, too much is but fat is just calories. Fat does not make you fat, caloric surplus makes you fat. Don't take your fat intake below 10% of your calorie goal. Your calories should be in 13-16x body weight. Always go 2 weeks at a calorie level before adjusting and then adjust only about 250 calories at a time. Don't keep trying to lose weight (or gain it) for extended periods of time 12 weeks on, 5 maintenance, 12 weeks one.
3. CONSISTENCY, CONSISTENCY, CONSISTENCY. This is for both workouts and eating.
4. Learn the RIGHT WAY to do your movements, it's easy to hurt yourself if you don't know what you are doing and trust me pulling your back because you didn't arch enough on a DL is miserable.

RE: Organizing/Renaming Media
They are used to download, rename, sort TV and movies. They talk to a downloader (like a bittorrent or usenet client) and then once it's downloaded they rename and move it into the correct spot to get picked up by your media server. Use "rename" on the command line and mainly use regex for that so I'm probably covered there.
Yeah I use "rename" on the cli along with "find" so that I can find all files that match a string "men at play" for example, copy them all to 1 folder, then run a handful of rename commands on them to clean them up and fit the format I like best.
